Common Questions and Answers about Does omnicef have to be refrigerated

omnicef

Avatar m tn t want to get into a big discussion on whether or not it is available. I just want to know if it NEEDS to be refrigerated. Does it? What if you don't keep it cool? I don't want to get into taking a med that needs this kind of special treatment because it opens the door for lessened potency, of course. Could someone get to the bottom of this refrigerate or not Thyrolar issue?
Avatar n tn I agree with the advice given by silverfox67 that you should take your daughter to the doctor. A note will have to be put on her medical records that she has had a reaction to the medication so that it is not prescribed to her again. As well as an antihistamine that the doctor can prescribe for your daughter, you can also apply calamine lotion or Caladril to help stop the itching. Natural live yogurt will also help to cool down the itching.
Avatar f tn s a multi dose vial it does need to be refrigerated after opening. Sooo, which is it?? The vial contains 4 weeks worth of medication for me.
Avatar f tn I am wondering if it could be plain old Tonsillitas, my daughter would have bouts similar to what you have descibed with high fever ,she could hardly swallow , it lasted a few days each time ..in the end thy took her tonsils out, did they say what her tonsils looked like ?

Avatar f tn Bacteria have to be isolated from your sinuses, and antibiotic susceptibility test made. Then an ENT or infectologist should choose appropriate antibiotic. I suggest you to visit ENT.
154668 tn?1290115995 During the day when you need the afternoon dose, it is OK to carry it with you, again as long as temps do not swing too extreme, for example it is not a good idea to leave it in your car but is OK to carry in your pocket. My choice is to leave it in the ref when possible, just to be on the safe side, but I do carry the afternoon dose in my pocket when I leave in the morning.
Avatar m tn I have had a round of Avelox a few weeks ago and recently Omnicef 600mg/day for 10 days and still have discharge. Question, wouldn't these antibiotics be affective against NGU, Chlamydia or Gonnorrhea? Thanks for the help.
377012 tn?1283965435 His doctors might want to check to be sure he does not have some type of immunodeficiency. These immunodeficiency states can be transient, as with transient hypogammaglobulinemia of Infancy, congenital or acquired. Selective Immunoglobulin A (IgA) deficiency is uncommon but not rare and can predispose to ear and sinus infections. Children who are immunodeficient can also have gastrointestinal symptoms.
Avatar n tn I am thinking that since taking the omnicef that maybe Something in my system (gall bladder or ducts) were damaged by the omnicef and now I have too much bile production in the digestive tract or stomach which my be causing this problem. We all talk about acid reflux but not bile reflux which I read can also be a problem. Can anyone shed and insight as to what may be going on &/or possible solutions to this problem.
Avatar f tn its a sulfa) anyway please let me know if anyone has had experiences with this drug. And if u think this will be a good combo. I trust my LLD. And will do anything to get better. I am prepared for even bigger herx once I add the septra.. I am on everything except the Cefidinir(Omnicef) bc she is adding that after we add the Septra and sees if it is well tolerated.
Avatar f tn I have always been under the impression that insulin should always be refrigerated. I am seeing a patient that receives lantus QD and Novalog TID. she does not keep the pens that are being used, refrigerated, only the unused ones. Although even though they are not kept refrigerated, they do seem to keep her blood sugars under control. I wonder though if they were refrigerated would that make a big difference? I will call her physician if necessary.
373119 tn?1206933406 ) I was basically curious if you had anything to say on Eagle syndrome. It may be more of an ENT question instead of just an "e" question :). She will be seeing an ENT after she is done with this 2 weeks of omnicef for this nasty sinusitis.
257175 tn?1204161973 ve used ovidrel and novarel over the past two months, and ovidrel was the only one that needed to be refrigerated, because it was pre-mixed. Novarel just needed to be kept at room temperature. Once it's mixed, though, and if you don't use it right away, then it should be refrigerated...but who does that? LOL! Best of luck!
Avatar f tn Her white blood count was at 21. They gave her a shot of rocephin, told us to continue the omnicef, sent us home. There was no improvement on Friday and her temperature kept rising. That Saturday I took her the ER at Medical City in Dallas. There they ran another set of the same tests, all coming back negative, her blood count was at 12. Said it was likely a viral infection and sent us back home.
Avatar f tn (She has me on 2 different ones) I know a lot depends on ones health and I have not suffered the way most of you have. I also talked to someone that had to be taken off the stronger antibiotics because of weight loss and possible damage to liver. In other words , should I also be getting kidney and liver tests while on these antibiotics? I should of asked my dr. this yesterday and I will at the next appt; but I was overwhelmed with all that she had to say.
Avatar f tn Hi all, wondering if you have come across information indicating that flagyl can treat babesia at the same time it's treating Lyme. I understand it's also a antiparasitic, so not sure if that counts. If anyone knows or has heard their LLMD mention this please let me know. I just took my first dose of Flagyl, keeping my fingers crossed that I see some fantastic results!
9369350 tn?1403514319 What drugs are you taking 3 times a times? The only medication that needs to be refrigerated is interferon, not the ribavirin.
988694 tn?1332359479 Have you felt good on the new formulated NT before? Also, I think it is more humidy (moisture) that can affect the pills, but not sure?
1265027 tn?1284839951 his pediatrician prescribed Omnicef for severe ear infections. She said there was a 5% chance hed be allergic to that but she wanted to try it out. well, he was allergic. After 3 doses he broke out in HIVES all over his face and scalp scratching and screaming in a way no child ought to scream. Avatar f tn I feel yu! I keep all the stuff I want that doesn't have to be refrigerated in my room but the cold stuff is hard to keep in the fridge ...
Avatar n tn Clavamox can actually be stored outside of the refrigerated and doesn't lose potency or become harmful if not refrigerated for 2 weeks or more at moderate temperatures. If the temperature in your home is above 80 degrees it will lose potency quicker, but will not cause any harm.
446049 tn?1649005835 Important to note that VSL3 probiotics should always be refrigerated. And yes, they all seem to have a high price tag. Amazon does carry VSL3 probiotics, several options. I would look at this site page to see some comparisons of prices. https://www.dietvsdisease.org/probiotics-ibs/ One area often overlooked in probiotic usage is prebiotics. Do you do anything with that? This is usually fermented food/drinks prior to taking the probiotic.
Avatar m tn Does anyone know how many pills per dose or pills per day you'll have to take with boceprevir and telaprevir? I know they're going to be three times a day. But I don't know how many pills that is per day. Anyone know?
