Avatar m tn My voice is hoarse, and in the hollow of my throat, right between my collar bones, there is a burning sensation. My voice cracks occasionally, and I noticed a loss of one octave spanning across the past five months, and it gets tired really easily. I have put myself on vocal rest, and have been keeping the talking to a minimum. I also noticed that when I sing, my larynx goes up really high. What could this be? Will it go away? I know I strained my voice, but does it sound serious?
645390 tn?1338555377 The last 2 days, my hubby and 6 friends participated in Pedal to the Point for the MS Society. http://www.nationalmssociety.org/chapters/oha/fundraising/bike-ms-2011/index.aspx Our team raised about $2,500.00! What a great and inspiring weekend!
Avatar f tn pedal back and forth slowly until you can go all the way around (put your heal on the pedal instead of the ball of your foot, then gradually move your foot forward as it gets easier to pedal around). When you can pedal comfortably all the way around on the ball of your foot it is time to lower the seat one position and start over. It will hurt trying to go past your last stopping point but it will gradually give you more flex. Pedaling backwards first is easier than forward.
Avatar m tn She could have been on fluid restriction due to the pedal edema. Aldactone too could have caused the dehydration. Stopping the aldactone and taking fluids will help to normalize the BUN values. Pedal edema. hepatomegaly and raised jugular venous pulse are usually indicative of right heart failure. Measures to control the heart failure will prevent pedal edema. Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn I would say this is completely normal. I feel that my HR often has a "on" and a "off" button (or at least so it feels). Some days it feels like I get severe tachycardia just from climbing some stairs, and my resting HR is in the 80s-90s. Other times I can go for days with HR in the 50s, and it's just increasing a little when doing housework or walking. And I'm an anxious person, too.
Avatar f tn 41 AND THE RT3 WILL NOT READ IT IS SO HIGH, I have had two opinions one being that it doesnt matter how high the RT3 is and the other that says it has to balance with everything else. I am told that the RT3 is your brake pedal for your metabolism and that my brake pedal is stuck so with that said i feel like it is stuck i am tired and have no energy but i gather from your post (Dr. Lupo) that the RT3 isnt important??
Avatar f tn I've made up my mind I've always been kind but I can't hang on anymore I tried you lied over and over I had one foot out the door and now I'm in the car with the gas pedal to the floor its over
645390 tn?1338555377 My husband and 10 friends rode the Pedal to the Point this weekend. Our team raised over $4000.00 ! How awesome is that?! It was about 95 degrees the first day, and very rainy the second day. Phil Keegan and the Novartis bike racing team were there as well. What a fantastic weekend! My kids and I volunteered at the finish point for the 1st day. What a heartwarming thing it is to see almost 3000 riders all riding for the same purpose. To help people with MS. Just passing this along.
20050727 tn?1489133390 d get along just great with everyone if I could simply TALK TO THEM! My voice even goes up an entire octave in that class, and my throat is always conveniently parched during it as well. So when my crush walks up to me to ask me something (oh yeah i forgot to mention that my crush is also in my band class), and I attempt to answer, my vocal cords just spit out a mousy, scratchy noise that makes me die a little more every, single, time that I hear it.
Avatar m tn m not sure if i sing well or not....but i do. when i quit smoking 3 years ago, an entire octave and a half of my voice went missing for about 2 months. i've never found any info that can explain why that happened. it came back on its own eventually.....but i thought it was gone for good. weird things happen when you quit. just stick it out! your body WILL thank you for it.
Avatar m tn I was on amlodipine for essential HT. Due to pedal edema changed over to Cilnidipine 20 mg . Now BP not getting controlled and followed with too much Ectopic beats.
Avatar f tn I have been noticing lately that often times, while driving I will get jumping movements in my right leg. My leg and foot are extended to reach the gas pedal. It doesnt hurt when this happens. I just notice that my leg is trembling or jumpy. Is this clonus? Simple muscle fatigue. Doesnt have to be a long drive or extended period of driving for it to occur.
Avatar f tn I been having a sharp pain on my lower right side it hurts when I get up or down when I cough when I sneeze and even when I drive and have to hit the gas and break pedal it hurts it's like a sharp pain... I'm 19 weeks...
Avatar f tn If not diabetic, Is your foot reddened also? Could be a possible infection. Have you checked your pedal pulses, (pulses in your feet) because maybe you are not getting sufficient blood to your foot or have a clot. Either way, I wish you the best and please seek medical attention.
Avatar f tn Luckily there are many types of compact exercise machines which specialize in non-impact and low-impact exercise, like exercise bikes, cross trainers, gliders, and even small floor standing pedal devices where you sit in your own chair and pedal with your feet like on a bike, all far better that walking, and all adjustable so you can find a resistance level on the machine so you can do exercise that improves fitness rather than overworking you. These should be better for you, and your joints.
Avatar f tn m doing - putting things in a filing cabinet, pressing the gas pedal in my car, pushing a cart down the aisle in the grocery store, etc. It only lasts about 2-5 seconds but is very strange and alarming. Sound familiar to anyone?
Avatar f tn I have been reading up on the weight bearing MRI and it is interesting in that they use a jacket that is attached to a foot pedal to create weight bearing on the spine while having a supine MRI....it recreates the issues with disks and stenosis etc...If this is the issue a weight bearing MRI will confirm that...as a reg non weight bearing MRI may not show how the spine is reacting to the upright position with weight....
963268 tn?1312900315 hi maureen had similar thing happen to me a couple of times now and also thought gas pedal was sticking once then realized foot wasnt responding.
7915225 tn?1539215847 t even hardly drive because everytime my foot left the gas to the break pedal I wanted to cry because of my pelvic bone
443898 tn?1229700080 Lately, I have had increased fatigue, muscle weakness, jerking in my legs (more so while driving when I press the gas or brake pedal-not all the time only occasionally) the jerking also occurs at night. After activity, my legs also feel like rubber. I have began having daily headaches with tingling in my face and scalp. Additionally, at times, I have had severe itching to my arms and legs that is not relieved with hydrocortisone cream or benadryl.
148588 tn?1465778809 ignition switch, a receptor that has to recognize proteins on tumor cells, then the gas pedal, a co-stimulatory molecule necessary to activate the T cells. They would provide key insights that helped facilitate the big discovery still to come...... Numerous immunology labs were looking for molecular signals to rally T cells into action, and nothing looked so promising as CTLA-4.
Avatar m tn They can check on this with seeing if you have strong pulses in your legs and feet (pedal pulses), normal leg blood pressure and using a doppler to check on blood flow in your lower extremities. Peripheral vascular disease can strike as early as teenage years and can be hereditary.
Avatar f tn I start out on the treadmill or exercise bike and after 2 minutes I am up to 120 beats p/m. If I run or pedal fast I beat around 160, I know that at my age it is not in the safe range. So, what do I do. I don't exercise often and maybe I am out of shape??? Could that cause my heart to beat too high? I have seen my MD and a cardiologist for this and they seem to think that there is nothing wrong with my heart. I have had the stress test and ultrasound on my heart.
