Avatar f tn About bit over a month ago, I was started on Minocycline for adult acne. I took it twice per day for about 2 1/2 weeks when I suddenly started having what I believe was a reaction. It started with a stiffness and pain in my fingers on both hands. By the next day, it had spread into my wrists and elbows. Not thinking of the medicine, I continued taking it 2 more days. During those two days, my fingers, hands, and arms swelled until I could not wear any jewelry or my watch.
Avatar f tn I start out on the treadmill or exercise bike and after 2 minutes I am up to 120 beats p/m. If I run or pedal fast I beat around 160, I know that at my age it is not in the safe range. So, what do I do. I don't exercise often and maybe I am out of shape??? Could that cause my heart to beat too high? I have seen my MD and a cardiologist for this and they seem to think that there is nothing wrong with my heart. I have had the stress test and ultrasound on my heart.
Avatar m tn when i play my bass drum pedal with my left side, my left foot starts to turn inward to where my left heel is pointed toward my right foot. my left leg also cramps and tightens up to the point of it being frozen and immobile. there is no unbearable pain involved though. just the pain that is associated with cramping. i can't figure this out. the only answer that i can come up with is that i'm experiencing nerve damage of some sort.
Avatar n tn Hi there. The common side effects of neurontin are blurred vision, dizziness, and muscle ache, swelling of hands, feet, or lower legs, trembling and unusual tiredness. Lyrica is also known to cause general weakness, lethargy, blurred vision, ascites, facial edema, generalized edema etc. You must consult your neurologist to change your medications since both of these can cause swelling and you have swelling in both the legs.

1094370 tn?1317134825 Here are the possible side effects of plain Tylenol (according to the website drugs *******): "All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. When used in small doses, no COMMON side effects have been reported with Tylenol.
Avatar f tn pedal back and forth slowly until you can go all the way around (put your heal on the pedal instead of the ball of your foot, then gradually move your foot forward as it gets easier to pedal around). When you can pedal comfortably all the way around on the ball of your foot it is time to lower the seat one position and start over. It will hurt trying to go past your last stopping point but it will gradually give you more flex. Pedaling backwards first is easier than forward.
Avatar m tn She could have been on fluid restriction due to the pedal edema. Aldactone too could have caused the dehydration. Stopping the aldactone and taking fluids will help to normalize the BUN values. Pedal edema. hepatomegaly and raised jugular venous pulse are usually indicative of right heart failure. Measures to control the heart failure will prevent pedal edema. Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Avatar m tn t seem to be followed very much. From the large amount of data collected, it concluded, among other things, that multi vessel disease, diabetic patients and patients with reduced EF would much more favour CABG for a better outcome. PCI is a newer technology than CABG but is evolving. With its big advantages I think it will eventually make CABG very rare, maybe obsolete.
Avatar f tn I would say this is completely normal. I feel that my HR often has a "on" and a "off" button (or at least so it feels). Some days it feels like I get severe tachycardia just from climbing some stairs, and my resting HR is in the 80s-90s. Other times I can go for days with HR in the 50s, and it's just increasing a little when doing housework or walking. And I'm an anxious person, too.
Avatar m tn Two years ago I had technis multi focal implants in both eyes. I've learned to live with most of the side effects...........glowing lights and moon........seeing the edge of the lens..............but I'm deeply troubled by a greasy film on both eyes.........worse in my right eye. It is making me terribly depressed as I live to play softball, much like golfers live to golf. I am considering giving it up because of the problem with my eyes. My other passion is photography.........
Avatar f tn 41 AND THE RT3 WILL NOT READ IT IS SO HIGH, I have had two opinions one being that it doesnt matter how high the RT3 is and the other that says it has to balance with everything else. I am told that the RT3 is your brake pedal for your metabolism and that my brake pedal is stuck so with that said i feel like it is stuck i am tired and have no energy but i gather from your post (Dr. Lupo) that the RT3 isnt important??

1386249 tn?1303092096 I am just having the worst side effects with prenatals. Of course, its not a good idea to stop taking them when trying to conceive, I know this. I definately do not want to stop these vitamins, however, they are causing me to have loose stools every day. Ive tried expensive brands, cheap brands, as many as 9 different kinds. I finally found one that works best for me, but am waking up having to run to the bathroom every morning.

They would provide key insights that helped facilitate the big discovery still to come...... Numerous immunology labs were looking for molecular signals to rally T cells into action, and nothing looked so promising as CTLA-4.
645390 tn?1338555377 My husband and 10 friends rode the Pedal to the Point this weekend. Our team raised over $4000.00 ! How awesome is that?! It was about 95 degrees the first day, and very rainy the second day. Phil Keegan and the Novartis bike racing team were there as well. What a fantastic weekend! My kids and I volunteered at the finish point for the 1st day. What a heartwarming thing it is to see almost 3000 riders all riding for the same purpose. To help people with MS. Just passing this along.

I could not imagine having to be away from him. I am definitely going to change my diet because it is not that great. I am going to seminar at WholeFoods on Januray 9 to help me out. I appreciate this support- I feel extremely worried and scared.
1100598 tn?1413127426 Hi, No, this is not normal and you need to get your heart rhythm monitored while exercising, you can ask for a Holter Monitor or a stress EKG test. As Cindy said (good advice by the way), see a good heart doctor (cardiologist) and discuss this with him. I have a slight suspicion that you are in another rhythm when exercising (such as atrial fibrillation), and you need to get this ruled out or confirmed.
