I was concerned there could be something larger wrong since the herpes and thrush issues started. I got a CBC, thyroid, blood sugar, mono and strep test- all results fine. My doctor wants me to go to the ENT next. I had my annual in April and hiv test was negative...

My son had to take the nystatin for like 10 days before we saw any relief. I also had to apply it to my nipples as well to make sure we weren't passing the infection back and forth. Thrush can be very difficult to treat...be consistent with the medication and if after a week + you still don't see any relief, they do make diflucan in an oral suspension that babies can take. Diflucan is a stronger yeast killer.

Since then, I have been on ketoconazole 3x, I am currently finishing my 3rd cycle that has lasted nearly 1 month. I have gone through 2x 10day nystatin suspension every 4-6 hours (while on ketoconazole). I started taking acidophillus pills, garlic pills, apple cider vinegar pills, rinsing with organic apple cider vinegar. I take a probiotic mint twice each day after brushing my teeth. I take a vitamin D supliment every 3 days.

I thought maybe it was a yeast infection,but i used nystation oral suspension and took 2 diflucan, one week apart without relief. PLEASE HELP.

I also have this problem along with bad sinus swelling and white stuff on my toungue and a vaginal yeast infection. I've had the cream, oral nystatin and diflucan and none helped at all! I'm also ver gassy bloated and constipated all the tim and tired. Dloes is sound like systematic candida?? My doctors think I'm nuts!

I took the Diflucan. Day 5 i got my period. What do i do now?? And can i re-fill my Diflucan to take when i am thru with the antibiotic?? And really no tampons?? at all??

I know that you cant take diflucan (fluconazole ~generic for diflucan) but I was wondering if there was anything else. My doctors office is not open yet so I will be calling them when they are available, but was wondering if any of you ladies knew anything about this. Any help would be much appreciated!

I am very grateful to have found this forum, and view it as a tremendous resource for those who are concerned about a potential exposure. I am living in the U.S. and had a relatively high risk exposure about 3 months ago (oil based lotion on condom for insertive anal and unprotected insertive oral with someone whose HIV status is unknown). I should mention that the condom did not break, but I am still concerned about my risk due to symptoms I have been experiencing.

My urologist believes I contracted a fungal infection of the penis by receiving unprotected oral from a male partner. I also performed unprotected oral on HIM. I also performed insertive anal with a condom. I made the mistake of performing insertive anal without a condom for about 2 minutes, then we ended the session. An STD test showed negative for chlamydia and gonorrhea and syphilis. My symptoms began occuring about 2 weeks after the encounter, they have lasted about 1 month now.

I had a low risk episode--unprotected oral sex from a call girl--she also fingered me for a few minutes. This happened at the end of September 2009. I had a 2 & 4 week std panel in which all came back negative. Also had a PCR-DNA test at six weeks with HIV 1 antibody by ICMA which was negative. I know of the non-diagnostic value in PCR-DNA, but does it have any validity? Most recently had 11 week HIV 1/O/2 ICMA antibody along with HIV 2 by EIA which was negative.

I did take a week dose of Doxycycline in the last week of August, 2008. Would this cause oral thrush? Again, if I tested negative in the presence of of oral thrush symptom, it would be unrelated to HIV? Thanks for your response.

You should at least call your doctor and see if you can get an oral treatment, Diflucan, over the phone. You may be allergic to something in the cream. But sometimes they want to make sure it's actually yeast and see you.

I was tested for STD's (Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Ureaplasma, Mycoplasma, general bacterias, fungi, HPV, HIV, Hepatitis, Herpes), all negative. A woman performed oral on me for a full 2 minutes and we stopped. No vaginal sex what so ever. 3.5 weeks later while at work my penis tip continued to get very irritated around the hole. That weekend tip still irritated and not urethra feels hot! No discharge no pain during urination, went to the local urgent care said it was urethritis. Prescibed me Erythromycin for a week and Mupirocin 2% fpr the irritation.

Does this sound like thyroid to you and do you know why i would keep getting oral thrush? I have been treated many times with diflucan for vaginal yeast but the oral didn't devlop until after 7 months of flagyl, 2 steroid shots, ashtama inhlaer and bactrium treatment. Now it won't go away with diflucan treatment.

I been taking diflucan pills and using cream proscibed by my doc.the last yeast infection I had they gave me the seven day treatment...u been done taking the but last I had sex with mii faince n when I when to the restroom it burned for me to pee ...I thought that was over with bc that the problem I been having but now the yeast is gne I didn't think this should be happening.... after taking the meds I waited over a week to have sex ....WHATS THE BIG DEAL WITH THIS AM FED UP WITH IT ..

If you perform oral sex with no exposure to ejaculation, is it in fact a no risk for hiv??? Even if the person is of an unknown status or positive???

Has anyone tried the suspension tables as part of therapy for POTS? I went to a home show yesterday and was feeling very tired and tried hanging from one for about 10 mins and it felt sooo good! I was just wondering if this might be good for us. Thanks.

Three weeks ago I had an oral surgery and the doctor prescribed me penicillin for 10 days. On the second day I started to itch and I knew I had a yeast infection. I consulted a doctor and was told that it would not help to prescribe the diflucan until I was done with the meds. I received oral from an unknown status person who claimed to be disease free but doesn't return my emails now. A day or two after I felt irritation around meatus and became concerned. After 4 days I took a std panel test for Gono, chlamydia, herpes 1 and 2 igg, and hiv 1 and 2 antibody. All came back negative. Went to gp a couple of days later and did urinalysis which was clear but gave me 10 day script for cipro just in case.
