Avatar f tn My daughter is 21 months old. When she was born she had a bunch of milia on her nose. They covered the entire nose, but were small and I wasn't worried about them. Now, she is 21 months old, and the milia are less noticable, but are still there! Before, they were a bit raised, now it looks like they are just under the skin. No actual bumps, but if you look, you can see small white dots. Like clogged pores.
Avatar n tn My daugher, who is 3, has small white bumps on her nose. Is it Milia? I often notice blackheads too. Her doctor recommends benzoil peroxide but it has not addressed the issue. What is the best way to address this? She has had it for as long as I can remember. Could it be something else more serious?
Avatar m tn The second told that it was definetly hpv and that it was milia. I am concerned because milia from what im reading is white. This really does not have a white appearance. They both said that biopsy/freezing would be difficult because of its size and location. I dont want to put my girlfriend at risk for anything. I am HSV,HIV RPR,HepC negative. I am very concered please help.
Avatar f tn Hi! For as long as I can remember, I have lots of milia on my labia majora. I'm quite clean and wash the area often but it's not enough and they make me rather self-conscious. I already have an adapalene cream .1% for the milia around my eyes but I see that it says I shouldn't use the cream on my genitals. What can I do? Is there a different type of cream that's safer for that area? Is it worth it going to get them extracted every few months at a dermatologist?
Avatar f tn My doctor prescribed me cetrizine hydrochloride 10mg for milia...is this enough for getting rid of milia under my eyes?
2114766 tn?1334496749 Milia, also known as milk spots or oil seeds, are benign, keratin-filled cysts that can appear just under the epidermis or on the roof of the mouth. They are commonly associated with newborn babies but can appear on people of all ages. They are usually found around the nose and eyes. In children milia often disappears within two to four weeks. In adults it may require removal by a physician or a cosmetologist.
1683370 tn?1305131507 Hello, These white tiny bumps on the lower eyelid can be due to milia or syringoma. Milia are white pimples that occur mostly on the upper cheeks, nose and chin. The best way to prevent milia is to avoid treating your skin with excessively harsh chemicals and to limit sun exposure. Also use good quality cosmetics and exfoliate your skin regularly.
Avatar f tn I recently had a visit to the dermatologist where a spotted a small growth near inner thigh and diagonised it with it being probably Milia. However the medicine he subscribed to me (Flonida 5% cream (Fluorouracil IP) ) seems to be listed as used with Genital warts. Can someone clear out the confusion. Is Milia treated with such creams?
Avatar n tn Hi, This could be milia which are common benign skin findings. These are formed when skin remains trapped in a pocket on the surface of the skin. It can develop on the sun-damaged skin of middle-aged and older people. Primary milia found in infants tend to heal on their own within several weeks, though the secondary milia found in adults tend to persist. It is best that you have this evaluated by your dermatologist for proper management.
Avatar n tn Hi It would be difficult to assess without having a look at the lesions as they may be due to several causes like stress, reaction to some medication, milia, perioral dermatitis, contact dermatitis, allergy, rosacea, melasma, psoriasis, irritants etc. However, it seems from your description that the lesions might be a skin condition called milia. Milia, also known as milk spots are pearl-like whiteheads (may look like small grains of sand).
Avatar f tn Dear doctor! How long can I use Differin (adaferin, adapalene)?
Avatar f tn I have heard of white ones that are called milia which are keratin build up into little cysts. A chemical peel or retinoid gets rid of them usually. Now red ones, could be the same thing. Do you have access to a board certified dermatologist? Would be best to check but it could be a variation of milia.
Avatar n tn It sounds like you have milia bumps sir. It's not an STD they just sometimes form for no reason, if the problem worsens see your doctor me he will most likely give you a retinoid cream that will get rid of the milia.
Avatar n tn Well what's the cause of milia and what do you do to stop and clear it? I wish my face regularly and I find these white, hard, dots on my face continue to pop up. It' on the higher portion of my cheek and around my eyes. Been getting them for years now. So how do you clear the current bunch and what measures do I take to stop them?
Avatar m tn I noticed something couple of days ago and it seems to be going better, I have ingrown hair problem with my beard, right on the left side of my penis base I see something like a red dot (I have their white hair glands) this one looks a little bit like them but bursted, it's not open nor secreting any fluid it's on the upper skin (can't feel it from underneath the skin, doesn't hurt and doesn't itch, it's very small more lik 1mm after a lot of googling it looks like ingrow
Avatar m tn I started using Differin in May, but I now realize Differin also contains Adapalene. Should I be worried about sun exposure while using Differin/adapaline? I noticed the container says not to use it on sunburns, but nothing about not using it in the sun. I use the cream at night, but I also realize that it's a long term treatment... and as such just because I use it at night, does not mean the sensitivity is gone in the morning/day.

Avatar n tn Hi. You might have something called milia. I've had this before too. They usually go away on their own. But it is hard to wait, isn't it? You can always get it checked out by your doctor. Here is info. https://www.healthline.com/health/skin-disorders/how-to-get-rid-of-milia. You could try steam in order to open it up. Exfoliating and retinol cream may also help. Try not to pick or poke it.
Avatar f tn Ok so I have been prescribed differin gel for "acne" problems. I recently had a huge one with deep cyst (when i touch it i can feel hardness under the skin)...then it formed a white head and oozed a lot of pus (and some blood) after which it stopped being painful. My question is can I still keep on applying differin gel on top of the acne even though it's "broken" skin? The differin seems to help calm the inflammation pretty quick and dry it out...
Avatar n tn I am a virgin, uncircumcised male. For the last 1 or 2 years, I have had a cluster of tiny light pink spots on my foreskin(but not on glans). Apart from that bigger cluster, I also have a few rather isolated similar spots on foreskin. They are completely painless, and seem to have stayed the same since I discovered them. When I say tiny, I mean they're considerably smaller than regular Fordyce spots.
Avatar f tn Your 9 year old may have milia. Lots of babies get this but it can happen at any age. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/milia/symptoms-causes/syc-20375073 This is if the bumps are tiny. They are a keratin build up in the skin. If the bumps are larger, they may be molluscum contagiosum. That's a virus. Impetigo is something that also occurs especially around the mouth and nose but that is not visually as you describe. Based on your description, milia sounds the most likely.
Avatar n tn Hello, It can be due to contact dermatitis or milia skin. They are white pimples that occur mostly on the upper cheeks, nose and chin. The best way to prevent milia is to avoid treating your skin with excessively harsh chemicals and to limit sun exposure. Also use good quality cosmetics and exfoliate your skin regularly.
