Avatar m tn Since I turned 25, I started getting pimples here and there. The acne worsened throughout the year into cystic acne on the cheeks when I moved overseas. I lived overseas for a year, then moved back to the states, where all my acne disappeared for two months. It returned again slowly, starting out with a small rash (which went away with Desonide Cream .05%), then milia/whiteheads all over my cheeks, and then red pimples with white pus spreading from my cheeks to my chin now.
Avatar f tn My daughter is 21 months old. When she was born she had a bunch of milia on her nose. They covered the entire nose, but were small and I wasn't worried about them. Now, she is 21 months old, and the milia are less noticable, but are still there! Before, they were a bit raised, now it looks like they are just under the skin. No actual bumps, but if you look, you can see small white dots. Like clogged pores.
Avatar m tn The second told that it was definetly hpv and that it was milia. I am concerned because milia from what im reading is white. This really does not have a white appearance. They both said that biopsy/freezing would be difficult because of its size and location. I dont want to put my girlfriend at risk for anything. I am HSV,HIV RPR,HepC negative. I am very concered please help.
Avatar f tn Hi! For as long as I can remember, I have lots of milia on my labia majora. I'm quite clean and wash the area often but it's not enough and they make me rather self-conscious. I already have an adapalene cream .1% for the milia around my eyes but I see that it says I shouldn't use the cream on my genitals. What can I do? Is there a different type of cream that's safer for that area? Is it worth it going to get them extracted every few months at a dermatologist?
Avatar f tn My doctor prescribed me cetrizine hydrochloride 10mg for milia...is this enough for getting rid of milia under my eyes?
1683370 tn?1305131507 Hello, These white tiny bumps on the lower eyelid can be due to milia or syringoma. Milia are white pimples that occur mostly on the upper cheeks, nose and chin. The best way to prevent milia is to avoid treating your skin with excessively harsh chemicals and to limit sun exposure. Also use good quality cosmetics and exfoliate your skin regularly.
Avatar f tn I recently had a visit to the dermatologist where a spotted a small growth near inner thigh and diagonised it with it being probably Milia. However the medicine he subscribed to me (Flonida 5% cream (Fluorouracil IP) ) seems to be listed as used with Genital warts. Can someone clear out the confusion. Is Milia treated with such creams?
Avatar n tn Hi, This could be milia which are common benign skin findings. These are formed when skin remains trapped in a pocket on the surface of the skin. It can develop on the sun-damaged skin of middle-aged and older people. Primary milia found in infants tend to heal on their own within several weeks, though the secondary milia found in adults tend to persist. It is best that you have this evaluated by your dermatologist for proper management.
Avatar n tn Hi, I have this rash thats on my upperlip right where my moustache would grow and around the bottom of my nose. Its more like a red patchy rash and it burns and sometimes itches. I had it before, but it went away after I kept applying "Cetaphil" on it every 15 mins for a whole week. Now it coming back and it won't go away. What is this rash called and I can I treat it? 2114766 tn?1334496749 Milia, also known as milk spots or oil seeds, are benign, keratin-filled cysts that can appear just under the epidermis or on the roof of the mouth. They are commonly associated with newborn babies but can appear on people of all ages. They are usually found around the nose and eyes. In children milia often disappears within two to four weeks. In adults it may require removal by a physician or a cosmetologist.
Avatar f tn been there for almost two years ain't grew or got any bigger just kind of curious turns red when pressed around the tiny spot no pain nothing
Avatar n tn It sounds like you have milia bumps sir. It's not an STD they just sometimes form for no reason, if the problem worsens see your doctor me he will most likely give you a retinoid cream that will get rid of the milia.
Avatar n tn Well what's the cause of milia and what do you do to stop and clear it? I wish my face regularly and I find these white, hard, dots on my face continue to pop up. It' on the higher portion of my cheek and around my eyes. Been getting them for years now. So how do you clear the current bunch and what measures do I take to stop them?
Avatar m tn I started using Differin in May, but I now realize Differin also contains Adapalene. Should I be worried about sun exposure while using Differin/adapaline? I noticed the container says not to use it on sunburns, but nothing about not using it in the sun. I use the cream at night, but I also realize that it's a long term treatment... and as such just because I use it at night, does not mean the sensitivity is gone in the morning/day.

Avatar n tn It looks like whitehead but nothing to squeeze out .I have had it for about 6 months. It is somewhat hard to the touch. I am wondering if somebody can tell me what it is and if it appears to be something I should see a dermatologist for.
Avatar f tn Ok so I have been prescribed differin gel for "acne" problems. I recently had a huge one with deep cyst (when i touch it i can feel hardness under the skin)...then it formed a white head and oozed a lot of pus (and some blood) after which it stopped being painful. My question is can I still keep on applying differin gel on top of the acne even though it's "broken" skin? The differin seems to help calm the inflammation pretty quick and dry it out...
Avatar f tn This isn't a definite--but the condition PH-1 is worth researching. It usually affects children--although it might be affecting me/or has since I WAS a child. I wrote more on another thread. There's much more information showing up on PH-1 (et al) because of a new medication getting approved by the FDA in November 2020.

Avatar n tn Hello, It can be due to contact dermatitis or milia skin. They are white pimples that occur mostly on the upper cheeks, nose and chin. Avatar f tn Hey I have a daughter who will be 3 years old soon. She has always had these white millia type things on her nose and cheeks. They are not bumps but rather flat and flush with her skin. She has dark / olive type skin and when she is out in the sun for a period of time the "millia" spots on her cheeks almost look like itty bitty sores a few days after the sun exposure. What could cause her to still have these from birth. And are they really "millia". Millia is just my guess.
