he put me on oracea 40mg once a day and differin gel 0.3%....i was reading the paper that comes with oracea~doxycycline and it says it doesnt kill bacteria now im getting worried because minocycline does kill bacteria now im worried i will break out more from the oracea.it says its for rosacea but doest oracea work to kill acne to or no?and the differin gel 0.3% isnt this not as strong drying to dry up pimples as retin a micro 0.1%?
I started using Differin in May, but I now realize Differin also contains Adapalene. Should I be worried about sun exposure while using Differin/adapaline? I noticed the container says not to use it on sunburns, but nothing about not using it in the sun.
I use the cream at night, but I also realize that it's a long term treatment... and as such just because I use it at night, does not mean the sensitivity is gone in the morning/day.

He gave me differin and it worked ok.While i was using the differin i was working all summer long outside and usually wore a hat.Well two years later ever since my forehead is my natural skin color which is pale.The rest of my face is very red.I have very oily skin and my skin breaksout if i put lotion or toners on it usually.Is there any advise on how to get my skin to even out and get this redness to go away.Please help.
Ok so I have been prescribed differin gel for "acne" problems. I recently had a huge one with deep cyst (when i touch it i can feel hardness under the skin)...then it formed a white head and oozed a lot of pus (and some blood) after which it stopped being painful. My question is can I still keep on applying differin gel on top of the acne even though it's "broken" skin? The differin seems to help calm the inflammation pretty quick and dry it out...
i also wash face with mild cleanser and apply moisturizer, after apply moisturizer on my nose still becomes more oily. I went to see the dermatologist and he given me the differin cream, differin also make my nose oily and did not stop the oil production,which is also not helping, i very hopeless right now. please help with my oily nose.
I messed with it a little bit, and the next day it had swollen up and was warm, like an infection. Since then, I have been using Abreva and Differin on it. The Differin makes the largest difference – it reduces the size significantly.
When it first showed up, it looked a lot like this picture: http://www.adamjbc.f2s.com/dlc/test/Photo-0171.jpg. It no longer has a white tip, and there are two small bumps (neither red nor painful) below it.
The best topical lotion in my opinion is Differin. It can be as effective as topical Isotretinoin but is usually much better tolerated, with little or no redness and peeling.
It is even more effective when used in conjunction with oral antibiotics.

I was prescribed the same treatment that had worked so well before (minus the Doryx) but of course it didnt work one bit this time.
I was then prescribed Differin and Finacea..no results
Abt two months ago, I was prescribed Solodyn, I use neutrogena creamy wash, Retin-A and some hydroquinone for the dark spots. The solodyn make me break out in a HEAP of HIVES !! so I stopped taking it about 3 weeks ago and now I have been prescribe Bactrim?
have you tried differin its a topical medicine, but its the only thing that did work for me. the doctor perscribed it for me.. and it really works.. the eating healthy thing doesnt work. im really active and eat healthy, but i sweat pretty bad and i get pimples anyways. the natural sometimes wont work. you can also go to walmart and get the face wash called seabreeze. i think thats how its spelled but its the best kind of acne medicine and its the most natural.
Which now leaves me confused.. Does anybody else have this problem? And does he or she have a solution for it

The picture in this post is day 3 of the flare up.. the rash is situated under my eyes.. on my chin and a little on the centre of my forehead..The rash leaves scars and is sometimes soar when I try to touch it..
So I thought maybe they were just a patch or dry skin, or skin a rubbed a bit raw when rubbing my eyes at night or something, so I tried applying Differin cream to it with no result. It is not spreading, but it is not going away either. Some have said it's just a mark I got from being overstressed, but i think that really means they have no idea...haha...help?
Hi I've recently been using differin gel, but about a week ago I started breaking out bad and decided to take a week long break from the gel to heal my skin. I was wondering if taking a week long break was a good idea or not?
The only other thing that I have done differently from my normal routine is that I began to use Differin Gel 3% on my face only which is why I never thought of it as being the cause of this strange neck rash, but a friend at work said that I should look into this so here I am. Is this possible? I have heard that Differin can be a bit systemic for some.

I got Differin from the doctor and used it for 6 months with no results. Is he to young to start to serious ritual? He is adopted and his birth mom has very serious acne. He is very worried about all these pimples. He started getting them at nine. The doctor told me they aren't really acne but I forgot what he called them so I could look them up.
NP suggested chiropractic work on the rib after more blood work and an abdominal CT scan to ensure that all organs were normal and healthy.
March 24 - Abdominal CT, 2 blood cultures, CBC, CMP. All results normal.
March 25 - Chiropractor worked on the rib and did kinesiology to look for viral infections, kidney problems, thyroid problems - everything he could think of and found nothing.
Today, the fever is still around the 99.5 area and varies by a few points.
The dermatologist gave me Differin Gel, and topical antibiotic cream called Benzclin, and neither of these helped. The doctor at first thought that it was Cellulitis, and put me on Bacitricin, and then Cephalexin, and neither of those helped.
The hard crusty skin seems to grow underneath my cheek, and it stays there for weeks until I can't stand the pain and itching anymore? The crusty skin seems to be super glued into my cheek.
I MAKE SURE to take really good care of my skin but it dosent seem to work. Also i have a prescription face medication cream called BenzaClin which is 1% clindamycin and 5% Benzoyl peroxide. Also, i am away at college far from my house so could it be my face isnt use to the water here? Im not sure what else it could be. Does anyone have any ideas of what i can do to help??? Hi, I have been using differin every alternate nights for 3 months without problems. But just last sun, I rubbed some onto my eyelids and facial rashes started to explode. They were not itchy at first but started to spread and becoming very itchy. My Gp said its contact dermatitis. But how could it be as I have been using it for 3 months? I put hydrocortisone cream on them but nothing seems to subside. Now my whole face is covered with itchy swell rashes. What should I do?

I have had mild to moderate acne for over 15 years. I am now 28 and am pretty discouraged. I have tried everything there is. All the antibiotics and topicals. My acne rarely got bad, but I almost always seem to have a few zits, few ingrown hairs, few blackheads, and a few inflamed whiteheads. I do have periods when I am pretty clear, but this usually only lasts a few days. My dermatologist decided it was time to give accutane a try.
When a few months go by, the bump on my face starts looking like a bruise, and does swallow up time to time. When it does break out after a few months, alot of dark, thick blood comes out. I'm just wondering what this might be as it seems very unusual to me that i have such bad acne at the age of 16. Please reply, your thoughts would be much appreciated.
