Hi. See your doctor for a topical retinoid called Differin (adapalene 0.1%). This is very good at dealing with blackheads and acne. Do not try to remove the blackheads by squeezing as this can spread bacteria under the skin causing more breakouts. It can also delay healing and lead to secondary infection.
A good face wash for oily skin is Estee Lauder's Sparkling Clean. Washing alone will not heal acne or blackheads so do ask your doctor about Differin.
i also wash face with mild cleanser and apply moisturizer, after apply moisturizer on my nose still becomes more oily. I went to see the dermatologist and he given me the differin cream, differin also make my nose oily and did not stop the oil production,which is also not helping, i very hopeless right now. please help with my oily nose.
I bought a pack of those Biore Pore Nose Strips and attempted to get the blackheads out of my nose for a cleaner and clearer look after all these years. I dont remember the last time i had a pimple let alone multiple. Now my skin is so oily and i can see blackheads on my chin and forehead. I stopped using my nightly washes bc of the chemicals. I currently use clean n clear for sensitive skin and cera ve lotion. I need something stronger but safe! Im willing to mix random things up at home if anyone has any good suggestions! Thank u!

I use the cream at night, but I also realize that it's a long term treatment... and as such just because I use it at night, does not mean the sensitivity is gone in the morning/day.

and the aftermath always contains the pesky blackhead that was acting like the Hoover dam for the mess behind it. my nose, cheeks, forehead, and chin all have infinite blackheads as well if I lean close enough and become too meticulous...but I end up trying to find refuge in the fact that most people won't get as close to my face as I do and won't be able to see all of my blackheads. the BH on my back and shoulders are visible in any light.
Ok so I have been prescribed differin gel for "acne" problems. I recently had a huge one with deep cyst (when i touch it i can feel hardness under the skin)...then it formed a white head and oozed a lot of pus (and some blood) after which it stopped being painful. My question is can I still keep on applying differin gel on top of the acne even though it's "broken" skin? The differin seems to help calm the inflammation pretty quick and dry it out...

Try microdermabrasion, worked wonder for my blackheads. I'd also recommend the clarisonic facial cleansing brush. It's pricy but I can't live without mine now.
he said since i been taking minocycline 100 mg daily for 2 years and using the retin a micro 0.1% for 2 years and im still breaking out i should try something new like it may be wearing off....he put me on oracea 40mg once a day and differin gel 0.3%....i was reading the paper that comes with oracea~doxycycline and it says it doesnt kill bacteria now im getting worried because minocycline does kill bacteria now im worried i will break out more from the oracea.
Eight years ago I had a rash around my lip that I treated with a steroid cream, which then caused Perioral Dermatitis. Yeah, they are definitely blackheads. My husband gets them on his inner thighs, too. If you squeeze them, they'll come out and go away.
