I have been impressed with the Swank Diet, the MS-Direct website (especially for all the Canadians) and the research on high doses of Vitamin D. It seems that Canada, the U.K. and Germany are far more open to the vitamin and dietary controls of MS. While the diet requires great discipline, it sure beats some of the other options. I would like to see your opinions on these comments and what any of you have done with diet.

Hey there, I have the same symptoms as the person with ID 'Concerned6672' to whom you replied except my rings are very circle round shape and size of a silver dollar coin. Its not elevated or very dry and no discharge. when i touch, it feels just normal skin. Its not red but and seems brown (I'm an indian), I have no changes in my diet last few months and I dont have contacts with outside world so much. Last night I was sweating in bed and next morning the rings appeared.

I have been walking 30 minutes each day (everyday rain or shine) and have put myself on a restricted diet (almost no meat except fish) and keep close watch on fats. I have lost about 90 pounds. I have been doing this about a year now and my blood pressure has fallen way down. Sometimes the bottom # is in low 50's and top 90-105. I still am on metoprolol but have lowered the dose to half and it is still pretty low.

Sorry, I have to disagree with you - the reason a theory is considered valid is because it's been through clinical trials. Copaxone and Betaseron both have been through numerous clinical trials before being approved for human consumption. Now, about the diet. Keep in mind that any high-protein diet that's low in fat will be good for you. This also means it's good for your MS. Think of your body as a car.
