Common Questions and Answers about Diet direct wilmington

diet

338489 tn?1215558109 Much is made of medicines which are questionable at best. I have been impressed with the Swank Diet, the MS-Direct website (especially for all the Canadians) and the research on high doses of Vitamin D. It seems that Canada, the U.K. and Germany are far more open to the vitamin and dietary controls of MS. While the diet requires great discipline, it sure beats some of the other options. I would like to see your opinions on these comments and what any of you have done with diet.

796855 tn?1237431399 I just looked at your profile and saw that you are a North Carolina native! I am as well...I grew up in Wilmington and Charlotte...but have lived in Chapel Hill, Asheville, and Waynesville...my mom is visiting me right now from Wilmington...( a huge relief because she will be here for my next doctor's visit) It is a small world indeed...and seems to get smaller and smaller... Take care and anyone else who has an opinion on my situation...
Avatar f tn Thats what i did and he gave a direct opinion of his which i follow.
Avatar f tn My cousin was in a horrible tragic car accident with 3 of her friends today. 2 of her friends died and my cousin is in critical condition and the other who survived is in minor condition. Thank god my cousin and the other friend survived but for her 2 other friends who passed happened to be brother and sister and it's the most depressing news ever! My heart is with their families.
Avatar m tn Under normal circumstances, there seem to be many heart health benefits to a plant based diet, yet I am concerned that shifting to more green foods will increase clotting factors, which is undesirable considering I have 2 new stents installed. I would like to know if this is an issue as some investigation suggests that Plavix works by a different mechanism than other blood thinners which are known to be affected by Vitamin K in green leafy plants.
Avatar n tn I WOULD GET A SECOND OPINION..IF U LIVE IN WILMINGTON NC I KNOW A GREAT DR..LET ME KNOW IF U NEED ANY MORE HELP...
1307298 tn?1305946851 I'm considering going on the Best Bet diet (as described on direct-ms.org). This post isn't meant to start a debate on whether or not the diet is good or effective. Rather, I'd like to hear from those who have tried or are on the diet and any tips they can give or any recipes / resources they found helpful.
Avatar f tn Sorry, I have to disagree with you - the reason a theory is considered valid is because it's been through clinical trials. Copaxone and Betaseron both have been through numerous clinical trials before being approved for human consumption. Now, about the diet. Keep in mind that any high-protein diet that's low in fat will be good for you. This also means it's good for your MS. Think of your body as a car.
Avatar n tn 1. Cardioversion on propafenone and see how long normal rhythm lasts 2. Try low dose flecainide 50 mg po twice per day if that wasn't tried. 3. Cardioversions with Tikosyn or Sotalol Load 4. It sounds like you are a good candidate for an atrial fib ablation as well, but that does take some time to schedule usually. If you have been in a fib greater than 48 hours, you would need coumadin with a TEE / cardioversion.
Avatar f tn Direct sunlight toughens up the nipples too. Exposing them for 5min everyday will help.

Avatar n tn My son will be 21 years old soon. Since about the age of 2 1/2 - 3 he started avoiding certain foods. He has a diet consisting mostly of carbs. On an average day he'll have pancakes, bacon, toast and juice for breakfast. For "dinner" or another meal that day it may be cheese breadsticks or deep fried mozarella sticks and french fries. He occasionally eats grapes. He does drink milk, orange juice and apple juice.
Avatar m tn I am currently reading on the Wahls Diet, the OMS diet, and just a general paleo diet. I am curious if anyone has anything to share about plans they do, how they have helped them, research they have read proving or disproving, etc.
Avatar m tn Hello, I'm writing here for help as I'm totally desperate now, it's been 15 years almost that I discovered abnormal liver enzymes values, the 2 most recent abnormalities are summarized below; nobody has been able to provide a diagnosis or direct me to more specific tests other than the standard ecography + blood exams. Age: 28, Male, 76.
Avatar n tn The tumor is actually responding really well to the chemo but I have a couple questions about his diet right now as this is my main concern because he is weak and has no appetite. I am overwhelmed with what he should eat and what he should avoid and have a hard time getting someone to tell me the answers. The doctors have stated right after chemo, there is a down period...where his immune system is low and he has no white blood cells.
