Recently, he has been experiencing pain in his right leg from the pelvic area down the back to his ankle and constant fatigue. Any suggestions? Avatar n tn I haven't heard about kidney stones & diabetes before at all. In general, it's best to drink plenty of water to keep the concentrations of minerals in our urine from being extreme. I've read "somewhere" that our urine should be nearly colorless with jsut a bit of yellow; darker yellow means we're not well-enough hydrated. I use that rule of thumb myself, but do check it out with your child's doc. Perhaps others will post with good info to share, too.
Avatar m tn pain when urinating, and urgency. What I'm getting more like high frequency, with a LOT of urine being produced relative to how much I drink. So to answer your question, meniere, it's excessive amounts, and not frequent trips with smaller amounts. I don't think it's the climate, either. It's relatively hot and dry here, but I've been to this climate before for extended periods, and nothing like this has ever happened. Anyway, thanks for all the advice and support on this.

Avatar n tn Have you ever got your blood pressure checked? Any kidney problems or diabetes? Are you obese? All these answers can help me to get to a diagnosis. What you mentioned is kind of hemiparesis. Is there any weakness or inability to move voluntarily in the limbs? I would suggest that you get a CT scan brain done and immediately visit a neurologist. You could have had a transient ischaemic attack or a stroke. All the best.

Avatar m tn I'm also always thirsty and have had episodes of what seems to be kidney/lower back pain. This pain reduced when I switched to eating a lower carb/high protein diet, which I only did when I found that eating breads, sugary fruits intensified my shortness of breath/shakyness. Finally I have also had episodes of numbness and tingling in my arms and legs that come and go in various intensity.
Avatar n tn How old are you? Have you been diagnosed with diabetes? Any associated symptoms like pain in urination or increase in urinary frequency? Inflammation and infections may cause hematuria. With this, your fasting blood sugar and blood pressure levels as well urine protein levels should also be determined. Asymptomatic hematuria may be influenced by stress and strenuous exercises. So during a repeat urinalysis ,it is important not to engage in any strenuous activities.
Avatar f tn I have a 7 year old grandson who has been having kidney issues for the last 18 months. Symptoms are, BLOOD IN URINE, SLIGHT PROTEIN IN URINE, ABDOMINAL PAIN, LETHARGIA, AND PUFFINESS AROUND EYES AND FACE. He is set for a kidney biopsy on the 20th of this month. No one can come up with a diagnosis. He has been on steroids, which do not seem to help, and symptoms can come and go. He also complains of body aches. Does anyone have any thoughts on this issue?
Avatar n tn Hello, Nephrolithiasis or stones in kidneys does not cause dizziness but if you are taking any drug for kidney stones, it can be responsible for the kidney stones. You need to consult a physician and get the other causes of dizziness like postural hypotension (blood pressure falling with change of position), internal ear problems and cervical spondylitis or compression of cervical spinal nerves ruled out.

He did not perform any other tests and wasn't able to pinpoint the cause. He suggested that it may be congenital, though I had never heard this from any of my other doctors growing up, even though I did suffer numerous bladder infections and wet the bed until my teenage years.
Avatar n tn Symptoms and diagnosis of kidney disease The kidneys work hard to make up for the failing capillaries so kidney disease produces no symptoms until almost all function is gone. Also, the symptoms of kidney disease are not specific. The first symptom of kidney disease is often fluid buildup. Other symptoms of kidney disease include loss of sleep, poor appetite, upset stomach, weakness, and difficulty concentrating.

435652 tn?1204315393 It seems like randomly once a month (sometimes twice) the morning I wake up for 3-5 ways with severe kidney pain, it's really a bizarre pain - like I can actually feel urine moving (sorry if that's gross). It wakes me up, once I'm up and moving I'm perfectly fine. Then in the evenings, I have bouts where my urine smells oddly sweet, but not a good sweet. It's got the strength of "asparagus" pee, it is sometimes cloudy or orange.
Avatar m tn But I also noticed that I only tend do to that when I drink excessively compared to other people, so there are days where I urinate normally (which are usually the day where I drink less water). It got me real scared. 3.

Avatar f tn I also get dizzy from time to time and have (and I am sure about this) quite a bit of kidney pain especially when my bladder is full. My urine is completely normal. I feel nauseous off and on and in just the last week have been having heart palpitations. The palpitations are random and quite quick. For just a few seconds my heart feels very floppy as if it is trying to pump and can't and then poof back to normal. I also shake sometimes right when I start eating.

Avatar n tn She set me up with a ultrasound of the right kidney and it came back normal. OKay so now (as in the past) I have had intermittent right flank pain. It feels as if I am laying on a ball or have a fist in my back sometimes. I am unable to go back to the doctor as I have no insurance now. Any thoughts? Could this be kidney disease or am I over reacting? I take no other medications but the over the counter stuff.
