Dha vs natural bronzers

Common Questions and Answers about Dha vs natural bronzers

dha

Avatar n tn I have tried almost every brand out there. Internet research has let me to think that I am allergic to DHA, the active ingredient in the tanners. Can't stand the smell either. Are there any tanners or bronzers out there that do not contain DHA?? I am 50 years old with fair, sensitive skin. I seem to have developed strange allergies to chemicals in the last few years and my skin has gotten very sensitive.
1192727 tn?1282735542 It is found in cold water fatty fish and fish oil supplements, along with eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). Vegetarian sources of DHA come from seaweed. DHA is essential for the proper functioning of our brains as adults, and for the development of our nervous system and visual abilities during the first 6 months of life. In addition, omega-3 fatty acids are part of a healthy diet that helps lower risk of heart disease.
Avatar f tn Well maybe it doesn't matter idk.
Avatar n tn Some products use Erythrulose combined with the DHA. Erythrulose works identically to DHA on the skin surface, but develops more slowly. The two chemicals used together may produce a longer lasting sunless tan. Dihydroxyacetone or Erythrulose may cause contact dermatitis. First time users of sunless tanning products should apply them to a small patch of skin and wait 24 hours before a full body application. ref:http://en.wikipedia.
Avatar m tn Levels used in therapy to lower blood triglycerides, also a risk factor for cardiovascular disease, are higher, about 2-4 grams of combined EPA and DHA per day. The OSU studies with mice used DHA at levels comparable to the triglyceride therapies. "DHA was more effective than EPA at attenuating inflammation, oxidative stress, fibrosis and hepatic damage," the researchers wrote in their conclusion.

Avatar f tn My prenatals don't have DHA, should I switch from rainbow light?
Avatar n tn My Asthma Dr. said that he would consider changing from Lipitor 5 mg to Crestor (dosage not yet mentioned) after 1 more blood test. 3 years ago another dr. suggested a change, but cardiologist said no need to. Another Dr. (forum) suggested using, in addition to Fish oil for tri-glycerides, niacin. And he said statin users should take CO-enzyme Q 300 mg.
Avatar f tn They habe adequate folic acid and dha. They are almost always buy one get one free. I tried to take dr prescribed ones but they made me sick. My dr looked over the ones i take and said that they were just as good. I take 2 a day as directed on the bottle.
Avatar n tn i take cvs brand prenatals (theres enough in the bottle for my whole pregnancy) and i showed them to my doctor and he said they were fine, and just reccomended me take a dha pill called expecta, cause my prenatals didnt have dha in them...but he said other than they they were perfect to take.
Avatar f tn Like everyone else said they are basically the same. I would make sure they have DHA in them as well. Prescription ones have always been cheaper for me than otc ones. I'm not sure where you live, I live in the midwest and there is a store called Meijer that gives everyone free prenatals but you might have to have your Dr. call in a prescription for them though.
Avatar f tn You really need to be taking one with DHA. I can't remember the brand I take off the top of my head, but I tried to follow the Mayo Clinic's guidelines: http://www.mayoclinic.
Avatar f tn I took the Enfamil DHA & Omega- 3 supplement because it is designed for pregnant women, but I am sure that if your doc told you to take them then you are just fine. DHA/ Omega- 3 fatty acids are very important for your baby's brain development so I don't know why the pharmacist would recommend you stop taking them.
Avatar f tn t get headaches but the days that i forget to take it i get a headache. You should try it....
Avatar f tn I need to know if I should have some prescribed or what type to buy. I saw some all natural ones called only one once by rainbow light and I was all set but then I asked a pharmacist and he said they're all the same. The all natural ones didn't have DHA but had great reviews...I'm lost.
Avatar f tn I took some without DHA before I conceived, but switched at about 3 months to ones with DHA.
Avatar f tn s high quantity of EPA and DHA. DHA in particular is essential for proper brain function. Some people do feel lessened depression with a high dose of fish oil daily. I don't know about anxiety. Make sure you buy one from a good company that uses clean fish; I prefer Nordic Naturals. However, by itself, I don't think it will solve your problem; natural remedies are usually used in combination. Good luck.
Avatar m tn I have read a number of threads which are saying that fish oil with high levels of EPA and DHA can help to reverse liver fibrosis if there is no further liver injury occuring. Is this correct? I have found locally a fish oil liquid that has 968 mg of EPA and 878 mg of DHA per 10ml serving. Would this be enough because it recommends only 10 ml per day? By the way it also states on the box that a) it is made to Pharma GMP standards and b) it uses opti-pure purification process.
Avatar f tn Does ur prenatal vitamins have dha? Is it ok to take them tablets with dha? The one i take doesn't have it but im trying to get gummies to substitute but all gummies seem to have dha.
Avatar f tn Okay so my current prenatal vitamin does not have Dha in it...is it possible for me to take a Dha vitamin in conjunction with my prenatal vitamin?...if so what is a good brand to take?
10939157 tn?1413971264 Nestle Good Start with DHA and ARA Natural Cultures had the highest review standing. DHA and ARA are important in the promotion of immune system function, growth and development, as well as, eyes and brain. This formula topped the list, as it contains "comfort proteins," 100 percent whey protein from cow's milk. It easily breaks down during digestion and is available in powder, concentrate, and ready-to-feed preparations.
776572 tn?1360290739 Hey There, Wondering if people have a good recommendation for a high quality, natural prenatal? I was taking Trimedesyn, which looked good to me as it had a lot of extras that most prenatals are lacking (like dhas, probiotics (although i wonder if they are still active considering the product is not refrigerated) and more, and yet my doc said the vitamin a was a bit high at 5,000 ius. I've since switched to SISU's prenatal but wonder if you ladies might have a good recommendation?
