668044 tn?1225913014 I take One A Day Prenatal with DHA/EPA. The box (for $13) comes with one bottle of 30 prenatals and a bottle of 30 DHA/EPA pills. I have been taking them together through my pregnancy. My OB recommended them if the ones she prescribed didn't work out (they gave me a stomach ache so I went with One A Day). I have heard nothing but good things! I recommend them!
1885735 tn?1322375616 I take both, a prenatal vitamin and a dha supplement. I have been since I was 4 weeks (when I found out), and now I'm 27 1/2 weeks. I always take them with food though.
Avatar f tn One of my prenatal vitamins have DHA but no iron, and the other has iron but no DHA...The one with iron has a little higher percentage of vitamin C as well...which one should I take? If I take the one with no DHA is it ok to takr Advocare Omega Plex supplement on the side? Or should I take the vitamin with DHA and take iron on the side? These have me confused!
Avatar f tn My prenatals are called prenateDHA with quatrefolic. It has everything you need and with insurance it's pretty reasonably priced.
Avatar n tn What brand of prenatal vitamins is everyone using? Im using nature made with dha. Just wondering if there is one kind of prenatals that are better than another.
Avatar f tn My Dr told me at my second prenatal visit that my vitamin D count was low and that I needed to take 1000 mg everyday along with my prenatal. In my first pregnancy I didn't have this so I eventually stopped taking my prenatal vitamins but with this pregnancy I was starting to slack with the prenatal again until my Dr told me to take my prenatal along with Vitamin D. I've been diligent with taking my vitamins since. Has anyone else been Vitamin D deficient and had to take a supplement?
Avatar f tn Prenatal vits don't have DHA in them. So you do need to take the extra vit. It's very beneficial for you & baby. I've taken the extra DHA vit during all of my pregnancies. I also take a calcium vit before bed, the extra calcium is good for U and baby. I don't think my dr said anything to me either but I told him when at my 1st apt he wanted to know everything I was taking, vits & if any other medications.
1123156 tn?1338863369 I used to take one a day prenatal, It comes with two bottles 1 with prenatal and the other one with Fish oil(DHA) Fish oil made my stomach sick. so I took only the prenatal vitamins for a month. I haven't seen any changes. so after reading alot of reviews on "mature made prenatal multi+DHA) I started taking them now.. Hope i can see a BFP soon.
Avatar m tn I am taking Nature Made prenatal multi + DHA I started the vitamins 2 months before getting pregnant and they never made me sick... Not even in my first trimester....
1492421 tn?1290300515 personally i take a high quality prenatal vitamin ( Sisu expecting) , a folic acid and a dha. I buy from our local health food store and the ladies there said you can never get enough folic acid. I take the dha kinda for the same reason, most people are low in dha and its extremely important for brain development.
Avatar f tn but wanted to know if gummy vitamins , also including dha folic acid , are effective enough , have any one else taken those , am I missing important vitamins for my baby ..? Having them until now ..
Avatar f tn I take for my current pregnancy MorDHA Prenatal supplement which is highly purified. My youngest son was given DHA free formula once breastfeeding stopped and then supplemented with Babies Only DHA from egg phospholipids because I refused to give him vegetable sources of DHA.
Avatar f tn Ask your OB, if in the US, about schnucks free prenatals program. With a doctors prescription you can get a years worth of free prenatals.
13663674 tn?1431713461 Could anyone tell me what prenatal vitamins are best to take and when to start taking them, I'm 17weeks and have already been taking my folic acid before conception but I'm not sure what else to be taking?
Avatar f tn Without insurance they are only $10. I forget what they are called, but they have a DHA supplement, iron, and ginger with other natural things for morning sickness.
10533493 tn?1411088519 I can't take prenatal pills because I gag , and I don't know what to take ?
Avatar n tn I forgot to take my prenatal vitamins last night and I had my first day free of nausea. The minute I took the pills this evening I went back to my nausea and morning sickness. Anyone have recommendations for super sensitive mamas? The brand I'm taking is Rainbow Light Prenatal One.
1109996 tn?1267012897 Does anyone know the difference between over the counter Prenatal Vitamins (DHA) or prescriptions Prenatal? I can get the pills over the counter or the one's my dr's nurse recommended at $60 for a months supply.
Avatar f tn My prenatals came with a fish oil supplement for the dha.
Avatar f tn I take the over the counter brand called nature made, prenatal + dha. It's all in one gel capsule. All of the prescription prenatals made me sick as well, but this one doesn't make me sick at all :). Of course take it on a FULL stomach.
Avatar f tn I am taking a liquid prenatal that has folic acid, dha and iron with other vitamins. I have a bad gag reflex so I can't do the horse pills.
Avatar f tn Usually DRs will let you know how much iron you need, I take a normal prenatal with DHA & iron but I supplement with 1 iron pill , 2 times a day also (recommended from my dr)
8987249 tn?1404774097 My doc recommends a plant based dha supplement if u do not eat 2-3 servings of fish per week. I take it bc I'm a vegetarian. I also take calcium chews depending on how much ca I get in my diet for the day.... If I don't get enough, I take them before bed.
Avatar f tn Yes I take separate omega 3s because my prenatal doesn't have it and with my medical history I need more than what would be in a prenatal anyway.
Avatar f tn I took the Enfamil DHA & Omega- 3 supplement because it is designed for pregnant women, but I am sure that if your doc told you to take them then you are just fine. DHA/ Omega- 3 fatty acids are very important for your baby's brain development so I don't know why the pharmacist would recommend you stop taking them.
