dha

668044 tn?1225913014 I have been taking the Enfamil DHA supplements for pregnant and nursing mothers. I think it is a good idea to take them if you aren't sure you are getting enough omega- 3 in your diet.
Avatar f tn Dha is really good! I specifically went to buy prenatal vitamins that included dha in them. Its omega 3 which is a fatty acid that is good for brain development and prevents neural tube defect.
Avatar f tn First time I just took the supplement and baby was fine, however it was identified as one of the many reason I had trouble breastfeeding. This time I'm taking the supplement again and if it's still low at 28wks my dr said he'll give me an injection.
Avatar f tn I take for my current pregnancy MorDHA Prenatal supplement which is highly purified. My youngest son was given DHA free formula once breastfeeding stopped and then supplemented with Babies Only DHA from egg phospholipids because I refused to give him vegetable sources of DHA.

Avatar f tn So this is my 4th child and I have only ever gotten about 6 weeks worth of breastfeeding in for each. Most likely due to my frustration and feeling like I simply didn't produce enough. So this time I am going to take some supplements. Started researching amd found there is simply to many different sites that tell me what I should take amd when to start. ..issue is they are contradicting. I am thinking mothers milk tea and something else...?
Avatar f tn i don't remember my research on this fully, but i do recall that plant derived ALA's are not biologically equivalent to marine derived DHA. i take fish oil supplementation for DHA. the only concern there is impurities like mercury present in the fish oil - there are brands that make DHA capsules that have been purified for this purpose. some brands will even go as far to source their oils from the purest fish and highest standards, so that purification isn't even necessary.
Avatar f tn I love my nature made liquid gels with dha and omega-3. Very easy to swallow and no nausea problems very important fir me as solid vitamins make me puke regardless if I've eaten. When I start breastfeeding I may switch to similac liquid gels these particular ones require two pills a day the vitamin abd a mineral supplement. Not sure though need to do more research on these brute I decide also will cost about 20$ more per 90 days.
Avatar f tn If I take the one with no DHA is it ok to takr Advocare Omega Plex supplement on the side? Or should I take the vitamin with DHA and take iron on the side? These have me confused!
Avatar f tn Hopefully some of you can help. Please!!! I tried breastfeeding my now 2 yr old for 4 mos but gave up. I couldn't produce enough to keep up with his needs nor could I pump enough. I am now 26 weeks and desperately want to nurse my new little one. Any one have/had the same problem? Any advice on increasing my milk production??
Avatar f tn Prenatals make me really sick so I take flintsone vitamins but I'm bad at remembering to take them so I probably take them 3-4 times a week and baby is healthy.
Avatar f tn I love nature made liquid gels with added dha and omega 3. They run about 20$ for a 3 month supply. I buy at meijer when they do The buy one get one free deal. Very easy on the stomach if you vomit easy from vitamins like me.
Avatar f tn My doctor is big on dha. I take preferaOB ONE they have pre/post-natal Nutritional Supplement+DHA they're pretty good but its prescribed without insure they cost $123.00 :/. They also sell milk with DHA its pretty good but expensive.

Avatar f tn Hello and thanks for this service! Is it more beneficial to take an "omega 3 EPA & DHA fish oil supplement" or an "omega 3, 6 &9 EPA & DHA fish oil supplement"? I'm a bit confused as to which would be of the optimum benefit to purchase. Thanks for your time and expertise!
10807336 tn?1416353236 My baby is a month old now and I'm still only able to pump half an ounce or just an ounce at one session. I had somehow been able to get it up to a 2 ounce at one point... But now I'm stuck with that small amount. :( I really hate giving him formula to supplement but I've tried just execuslively breastfeeding and it's clearly not enough.. He stays hungry unless I get him a bottle after. :( what can I do to help get my milks supply up? I've tried increasing fluids.
Avatar n tn What brand of prenatal vitamins is everyone using? Im using nature made with dha. Just wondering if there is one kind of prenatals that are better than another.
Avatar f tn I had my son 2 weeks ago. I pump all day and supplement him with formula at night, it helps him sleep a little better. Today my milk is so low. I barely got 4oz all day. Usually I can get 4oz in 1 pumping session. Idk what to do I'm starting to freak out. Help!
Avatar f tn So I saw another mommy ask this but no one replied and it actually intrigued me into finding out myself... (hopefully someone replies) so im planning on breastfeeding and want to know if taking any kind of breast milk supplement to be able to have a better flow is best to start taKing now (im 38 weeks by the way) or wait until baby arrives?...
Avatar f tn Hi ladies just wondering is there anything you recommend to eat drink or do to help increase my milk flow. I wanna keep breastfeeding for as long as possible I'm just afraid I won't make enough.
628735 tn?1273875777 I read in an ADHD magazine today that new studies say that a supplement that is higher in Eph than Dha seems to show more results. Has anyone else read about this?

Avatar f tn So i visited a friend today and she looked at my prenatal vitamins that i had with me and was surprised they didn't have dha in them. She gave me some dha vitamins and recommended that i take them and continue to do so. My dr didn't mention dha. Am i alone in this?
