I have been taking fish oil for about 5 years now and take approximately 2 grams with an Omega-3 total breakdown of 600 EHA and 400 DHA per day. I know I know, talk to your doctor bla bla bla (and I will to be sure) In the meantime should I trash the pills?
i don't remember my research on this fully, but i do recall that plant derived ALA's are not biologically equivalent to marine derived DHA. i take fish oil supplementation for DHA. the only concern there is impurities like mercury present in the fish oil - there are brands that make DHA capsules that have been purified for this purpose. some brands will even go as far to source their oils from the purest fish and highest standards, so that purification isn't even necessary.
If I take the one with no DHA is it ok to takr Advocare Omega Plex supplement on the side? Or should I take the vitamin with DHA and take iron on the side?

My doctor is big on dha. I take preferaOB ONE they have pre/post-natal Nutritional Supplement+DHA they're pretty good but its prescribed without insure they cost $123.00 :/. They also sell milk with DHA its pretty good but expensive.
Hello and thanks for this service! Is it more beneficial to take an "omega 3 EPA & DHA fish oil supplement" or an "omega 3, 6 &9 EPA & DHA fish oil supplement"? I'm a bit confused as to which would be of the optimum benefit to purchase. Thanks for your time and expertise!
What brand of prenatal vitamins is everyone using? Im using nature made with dha. Just wondering if there is one kind of prenatals that are better than another.
ve been diligent with taking my vitamins since. Has anyone else been Vitamin D deficient and had to take a supplement? If so, did baby come out healthy? Thx.
So i visited a friend today and she looked at my prenatal vitamins that i had with me and was surprised they didn't have dha in them. She gave me some dha vitamins and recommended that i take them and continue to do so. My dr didn't mention dha. Am i alone in this?
You're not too late. I take the gummie vitamins because all the others make me sick.
I don't think you've done any harm. If your concerned you could start taking them now or add a dha supplement to your current prenatal.
I take Neevo dha it's a prescription prenatal and it's very easy on your tummy.
I take for my current pregnancy MorDHA Prenatal supplement which is highly purified. My youngest son was given DHA free formula once breastfeeding stopped and then supplemented with Babies Only DHA from egg phospholipids because I refused to give him vegetable sources of DHA.
My prenatals came with a fish oil supplement for the dha.
I use CitraNatal dha because the generics that I was taking made me sick and I haven't had any problems with these.

I took the Enfamil DHA & Omega- 3 supplement because it is designed for pregnant women, but I am sure that if your doc told you to take them then you are just fine. DHA/ Omega- 3 fatty acids are very important for your baby's brain development so I don't know why the pharmacist would recommend you stop taking them.
but wanted to know if gummy vitamins , also including dha folic acid , are effective enough , have any one else taken those , am I missing important vitamins for my baby ..?

Look at the ingredients and see if it has DHA in it. It is an additive that can cause nausea.
