my girlfriend and I have had a scare and we want to take the morning after pill (LEV 0.75) and also want to start birth control pills. Her period was a few days ago and we are wondering if she can take the morning after today and then start the regular birth control tomorrow or the next day?
we bought madonna Levonorgestrel .75
and a combo pill desogestrel .15 with ethinylestradiol .03
also the madonna pills are two....
Hi. I just started taking birth control pills. I was recommended microgynon 30 which contains ethinylestradiol 30 mcg / levonorgestrel 150 mcg. I took the pill on the first day of my period at 10pm
That evening I lost the pill pack and as microgynon 30 wasn't available at the GP's office, I was instead put on Gedarel 30/150 which contains ethinylestradiol 30 mcg / desogestrel 150 mcg.
t have to take this pill for a medical condition--although, some women with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Endometriosis contend that you can avoid hormonal treatments-- I would not take birth control, especially if you are getting side effects. But, it is up to you. Hormonal birth control has been the love-hate relationship of women everywhere as there is definitely a price to pay which is physical, mental, economic and psychological.
Weigh your pros and cons. I weighed mine.
we had sex about a week after i changed my pill to the desogestrel pill.
hi, i am taking ethinylestradiol/desogestrel richter 0.02 mg/0.15 mg, and i was supposed to start my 7 day pill free yesterday, but i forgot to, instead i started with my next strip of pill yesterday.. what should i suppose to do? should i stop taking the pill for the next 6 days and i will have my period in days or should i continue taking the pill for another 20 days?
t smoke, I was determined to stay on this birth control to prevent the migraines. I went to a neurologist who specializes in migraine for information on the risks, and explained to her that not only did the bc pill reduce the frequency of migraines but also stopped other menstrual issues, like I used to faint regularly on my period (from hormone spikes not anemia) which resulted in several injuries. The neurologist agreed that in this case the benefit of the bc pills outweighed the risks.
Now since 2 weeks I also have mucus in my stool and I get very worried. I also take thyroid medication for Hashimoto and Desogestrel all the time for the Endometriosis. It would be great if anyone could help me. I went by the doctor already though they tell me to just eat healthy, which I do since 7 years now.
Hi i have been on birth control almost 6 months now. And i bleed for 2 weeks every period. The first week its just a brown mild red spotting because im still on birth control and then the second week when im on the brown pill is when i actually get the full on effect of my period. Today i got my period again and im still not done with my normal birth control so i decided to skip to the brown pills this week and start a new pack once my brown pills are done.
Can I get birth control without having an exam? I want birth control to regulate my period. I have never been sexually active but my period can go for 5-9 days not heavy or light flowing. It also has a range of 21-30 days in between periods. I do NOT like to be touched and have never had a successful relationship because of it.
Hey what kind of birth control are you considering after birth??? Has anyone ever been on the depo shot? How did your body react? My friend has done the depo shot two different times and each time she has gained alot of weight with it, anyone else experience weight gain? I would like to do the depo shot bc I know I cant remember to always take the pill but I already have a hard time losing weight any advice???
