Hi, I'm new to the community, see you posted last month. I was on Yasmin, I think its related to Yaz but not the same for about two years. I had some really odd symptoms with Yasmin and begged my dr to take me off of it, since then I was on Apri, which is just generic desogen.
ve tried Ortho Cyclen, Necon 1/35 (Ortho-Novum), Apri (Desogen), and now Zovia (Demulen). Sorry if this has been asked before, but does anyone who has tried taking continuous BC to stop their period have any insights on how long it took? I'm starting to go a little crazy and wondering if it's ever going to go away...
I have been taking desogen (apri) birth control for over 2 years and have not yet missed my period for over a day. this is the first it has not been consistent. I am sexually active with a steady partner in a monogamous relationship. I am not ready for a child and need to know if I should seek a morning after pill, take my birth control for next month instead of my placebo pills to try to start my period, or what other options I have.
I started the pill a month before I got married in January - My husbend and I, waited to have sex until after we were married- so I've been on the pill for about 5 months or so now but my period has been coming later then it should like; My pake says I should have started THU and I just now started, 4 days after that -MON-.
I and I've been really moody, and been peaing alot, and having headaches.
I myself was a birth control baby.
Oh, and we don't use condums.
When I switched from my previous pill to apri, i had the same brown-ish period. I chalked it up to just the hormones wrecking havoc on my body!

I am 42 and I was taking birth control pills - Desogen since I was 25 or so. This year in May I stopped taking the birth control pills and a couple months later I noticed on my legs bulging varicose veins. The onset seemed to be quite sudden. Could the fact that I stopped taking the birth control pills caused the sudden onset of the varicose veins?
t feel well on treatment, but I feel safe. I know the virus is out of my system (at least it was at 12 weeks and this is now week 36) and I know my liver is functioning well (ALT was 10 at last check.) But what happens now - when the drugs start to leave my system. My well-meaning friends and family say you must be so excited - but that's not exactly what I'm feeling right now. I think it's mostly anxiety and fear.
He said it is likely due to the fact that I take my pills continously (skipping the placebo week). I am currently taking Desogen and am wondering if I should switch to something different to minimize this breakthrough because it has now turned into almost a full-blown period. What do you recommend?

The doctor prescribed 25 MCG tabs of levothyroxine (generic) for 60 days and then they’d retest me. Never being sick in my life I am having trouble dealing with the diagnosis.
Is 4.58 alone enough to prescribe life long treatment? I had a test ~10 years ago for a physical and it was 3.7.
Is 4.58 and generic symptoms (muscle/joint pain and fatigue) enough to make a definitive diagnosis, I am otherwise fit and active, with no symptoms?
Well last sunday, my girlfriend started taking desogen during her period and it stopped her period. A few days later we had sex, and I came inside of her. I have done this many times before when she was on other birth control pills. Yesterday, the doc told her that it takes 30 days for desogen to take effect and she might be pregnant, we also heard that right after you period, you have the least chance to get pregnant..
