Avatar n tn Took for 1week 5mg desloratadine after my ivf. transfer. Started the antihistamine day 6 after embryo transfer without thinking or consulting the dr.(i always took it during pregnancy and thought its safe but never at such an early stage of pregnancy). Tested positive BHCG day8 after transfer +hcg22 day11+hcg53 day16 hcg56 day18 dropped hcg36. Can the reason of miscarriage be the use of antihistamine ? can antihistamine stop implantation from continuing ?
Avatar n tn i took tylenol pm last night and just wanted to know how long it takes until the diphenhydramine gets out of your system because this is one of the things tested for in my urine, even though it is rediculous because I had a headache and needed it.
Avatar m tn Is it safe to take 3 tablets of diphenhydramine (75 mg) if 2 tablets (50 mg) doesn't help my insomnia?
Avatar m tn I started taking fexofenadine 180mg per day with no results for about a week. Also took benadryl for a week with no results. I then changed to betametasone 0.6mg + desloratadine, 2 per day for three days then 1 per day for 3 days, which made the itching go away about the third day but came back soon after the fifth day while taking it. I went to see my allergist. I have rhinitis and once (8 years ago) I had acute urticaria that solved with an injection of corticosteroids.
Avatar m tn Good Afternoon, Like Kat said, it is best to see your doctor for an evaluation. I am only familiar with the Miltary when it comes to most issues, and for sleep you must consult with a psych dr. to preach the whole 'sleep hygeine' theory before they will give you any meds. I am also 24 yr old male, and have had problems with my sleep among other issues.
Avatar m tn Hi, I'm on Diphenhydramine (Benadryl)now and also wanna take a HIV PCR test, does Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) affect the test result?
Avatar m tn Diphenhydramine IS safe to take. I have used it many times durring detox a few times! I have been told by Docs and rehab councilers it is safe. Thank God!!!LOL Nyquill is NOT though, because of the alch. in it. Congrats on the new found freedom, hang in there. As far as the nerves it may take a few months to feel normal, however everyday it gets a little better!!!
Avatar f tn I just want all of you out there to know that my friend took an overdose of diphenhydramine last night. He took 100 of the 25 mg pills. Within 30 minutes he had horrible halucinations, and then around 4 hours later he was violently throwing up blood and stuff. He couldn't walk well and coordination was bad. This morning he slurs when he talks. He has had a stroke. The reason he did this was because he was diagnosed with cancer. Pancreatic and lung. He was given less than 6 mos.

Avatar n tn Can I Take Diphenhydramine HCI 50mg and Clonazepam .5mg and Lithium Carbonate 450mg in one dose tonight before bed.
Avatar f tn Tylenol PM (Acetaminophen and Diphenhydramine) is not considered to be an addictive product. The reason Tylenol PM helps you sleep at night is due to the Diphenhydramine which is a sedating antihistamine that is used in many OTC night time formulations. Diphenhydramine can cause side effects such as excessive daytime sedation, dry mouth, and urinary retention and thus its use long term as a sleep aid may not be preferred, but it is not addictive.
Avatar f tn I know there are posts on diphenhydramine abuse on here already, however the ones that I've found are a few years old. I am wondering if anything new has come up on diphenhydramine abuse. There is still limited information online about it. Reading other people's articles has shocked me because my reaction to diphenhydramine is quite different. I'm a heavy user, usually about 20 a day, ten at a time. What makes me feel different is my lack of negative side effects on it.
1219328 tn?1266881841 Diphenhydramine is the drug you're looking for. You can find it in Tylenol PM, Benedryl, Unisom and Sominex. The sleeping meds - Unisom and Sominex have the higher doses (if I'm not mistaken, it's double the dose of Benedryl - I also think it's cheaper to buy it in this form.) I'm certain you can find it in generic forms of these medications. The diphenhydramine apparently does a lot of good for RLS and of course, sleep.
Avatar f tn Teratogenic effects were not observed in animal studies. Diphenhydramine crosses the human placenta. One retrospective study showed an increased risk of cleft palate formation following maternal use of diphenhydramine during the 1st trimester of pregnancy; however, later studies have not confirmed this finding. Signs of toxicity and symptoms of withdrawal have been reported in infants following high doses or chronic maternal use close to term.
Avatar m tn s ok, I will suggest Benedryl or Sominex. Diphenhydramine (sp) is safe to take from what I understand. Both medications are diphenhydramine. But the Sominex is double the strength of one Benedryl. Hope my suggestion is ok. It's not a prescription med so I thought this might help. It does help me on occasion.
Avatar f tn I'm seriously addicted to Diphenhydramine (in Benadryl, etc.). Is anyone here addicted to this stuff that seems to be NOT addictive to everyone else but me? I finally found a place on the internet that talks about being addicted to Diphenhydramine HCI Like I am. I saw a member's (Unisom) posts here from a few years ago ...I had to write him and anyone who may be on here reading this.
Avatar m tn s, I used to take Unisom for a sleep aide (Diphenhydramine) although they no longer helped me sleep, I now take Lunesta#2 and I sleep ok, If you do confirm that Antihistamines affect Thtroid meds Please post what you find, I still take antihistamines for allergys, or if you could post where you read the article. I have a bottle of Unisom and the ingredient states it contains Diphenhydramine (An Antihistamine) not Doxylamine.
Avatar n tn I tested positive but I am allergic to Fluoxetine Hcl, Diphenhydramine Hcl, Doxycycline, Venlafaxine Hydrochloride, Fluoxetine, Azithromycin and Amoxicillin-Pot Clavulanate. What antibiotic can I take to treat this? Amoxicillin?
Avatar f tn I started prozac (20mg) 2 weeks ago. 1 week in, i suffered a major panic/anxiety attack. and a few smaller ones afterwords. i went into a 3 day tail spin of intense anxiety, racing thoughts, and obsessive thinking about the anxiety and fear of it coming back. i could literally not think of anything else. on top of that hell, i couldn't sleep through the night. 50mg of diphenhydramine would knock me out. but i would wake up 1-3 hours later.
Avatar m tn I am planning to take 12mg Xanax, 250mg Diphenhydramine and around three rounds of Jack Daniels (Alcohol). I read this combination would result in death, but just I am ok if I sleep and for 2-3 days. I am from India and I got my Xanax pills from a pharmacy with no doctor's prescription. My body is very new to these pills. I do not have any medical problems before, I am a very healthy male at age 25. I just want to know this would not be a lethal combination.
