clarinex syrup desloratadine

Took for 1week 5mg desloratadine after my ivf. transfer. Started the antihistamine day 6 after embryo transfer without thinking or consulting the dr.(i always took it during pregnancy and thought its safe but never at such an early stage of pregnancy). Tested positive BHCG day8 after transfer +hcg22 day11+hcg53 day16 hcg56 day18 dropped hcg36. Can the reason of miscarriage be the use of antihistamine ? can antihistamine stop implantation from continuing ?

Claritin and Clarinex (they work very differently) might help. Claritin makes me light headed for 30 minutes, raises blood pressure a little but wears off after a few hours. Clarinex works better for me, lasts 14 hours on me. Both are pretty weak for antihistamines. Other than this there is a couple more that use the same med as Claritin, so same effect pretty much. The other antihistamines usually cause drowsyness. Don't know of too many nasal sprays with out steroids.

A follow up 10 days later, i was still coughing and she then prescribed Narivent which was so disgusting that i almost puked from it and Prospan (Hedera helix syrup). This did not help, yet again, and i was still coughing. Third follow up after 10 days was prescribed Nasonex again, salt water and a seretide inhaler. We did not want to purchase the inhaler and decided to find another doctor because spirometry confirmed i did not have asthma and i'm not coughing like someone with asthma does.

my mom has been experiencing this weird outbreak of hives all over her body, and when she has an outbreak it seems to cause severe joint pain,but not in the same joints it kinda travels around.she has been to an allergist but they put her on predisone and clarinex and zantec but as soon as the pred. is done the rash seems to rehash and the clarinex and othe meds seem not to help at all.

Her OB and PCP told her that taking her clarinex was OK. She is miserable without it and right now has a wicked cold. I have been reading now that clarinex is OK to take and other sites saying it is not OK. She is 21 weeks right now. Why would they say it is OK if it isn't? Thanks for any info.

In the meantime, i have switched allergy medication from Clarinex to Xyzal, which may also be helping a little. I now take the allergy medication before bed whereas before, I had been taking Clarinex in the mornings. I notice that the problem of too much mucus seems less prevalent in the mornings upon waking up. It worsens in the afternoon and evening, especially after meals. i went to dermatologist and he gave Desloratadine and citrizine for 2 weeks....during the medication it is ok,but after 2 weeks again the same condition.So i dint went to doctor again.Before all this i tried Levocitrizine and i felt better than above drugs ,so im now taking citrizine for once for 2 days and if i stop taking it ,again got same (symtomps)condition.So how long should i take this drugs? becouse i dont know about H1 or H2 drugs.Please gave me effective drugs and how to take.

First is the cough from a problem in side or something you are breathing in? A good test I use is a HEPA filted mask. (the kind you can get in the hardware store with canisters). Wearing that for 5 minutes should clear up the mucus quite a bit if it is something you are breathing in. Easy test and takes only 5 minutes. Try a deep breath with the mask on after 5 minutes and see if you still feel like coughing.

She recommends me to take desloratadine antihistamine every time this rashes appear again. i need your help.. is there any way that this allergy will not occur even though i would not take this kind of medicine? Kindly reply..

I use use Clarinex which helps a little. Tried Claritin and it did not do anything. Most nasal sprays help, a non steroid nasal spray such as NasalCrom might help too and is gentle with virtually no side effects. I found that allergy shots was the only thing that stopped it for me. I don't use nasal sprays anymore. My rynitis was really bad and clogging my air ways. Now it seems to be almost gone. I get a bit sticky but never more than clearing my throat kind of annoyance.
