Avatar n tn Took for 1week 5mg desloratadine after my ivf. transfer. Started the antihistamine day 6 after embryo transfer without thinking or consulting the dr.(i always took it during pregnancy and thought its safe but never at such an early stage of pregnancy). Tested positive BHCG day8 after transfer +hcg22 day11+hcg53 day16 hcg56 day18 dropped hcg36. Can the reason of miscarriage be the use of antihistamine ? can antihistamine stop implantation from continuing ?
Avatar f tn Also I was drug tested often because I was on a narcotic drug for so many years prescribed by my doctor and I'd take sudafed and Benadryl through the spring for my allergies and I never failed a test.
Avatar m tn stomach pain seems to have subsided and bowel movements seem fine (I looked up side effects of Pseudoephedrine and stomach cramps and diarrhea were listed, so that may have been a contributing factor to that small episode). However, my throat is still sore, once again got worse at night. Pseudoephedrine pills seem to be doing absolutely nothing. I've been continually drinking water and monitoring my temperature (which remains to be at or below 98.6).
Avatar n tn Before taking acetaminophen, dextromethorphan, doxylamine, and pseudoephedrine, tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs, or if you have: * liver disease; * alcoholism or cirrhosis of the liver; * heart disease or high blood pressure; * diabetes; or * a thyroid disorder.

Avatar f tn Pregnancy may be complicated by new-onset or preexistent allergic disease, including rhinitis, anaphylaxis, urticaria and angioedema, and atopic dermatitis. Pregnancy and asthma is extensively studied. Of the currently available preparations, chlorpheniramine has been recommended as the first generation antihistamine of choice for use during pregnancy. Based on the information available, loratadine or cetirizine may be considered the second generation antihistamines of choice.
Avatar f tn I went to the doctor today and he told me tylonol sinus was safe and pseudoephedrine was safe. Also the other 2 I mentioned. I told him I didn't want back on antibotics again if I didn't have to be. He said just be patient and try the over the counter things right now.
Avatar n tn Any product that contains pseudoephedrine should not be taken with people with high blood pressure. Sudafed contains pseudoephedrine and should only taken under the supervision of your doctor if you have hypertension. Even with that, should the blood pressure increase, you would be advised to stop taking the medication. Coughing is the body's natural way of getting rid of any irritant and that includes virus and bacteria.
Avatar n tn Some people feel that another decongestant, pseudoephedrine, works better than phenylephrine. Pseudoephedrine is available behind the counter at drug stores. If you do not notice an improvement in your sinus congestion after 7 days, or if you have a fever, please notify your doctor since these are usually signs of an infection. If that is the case, you will not be able to resolve the problem with over the counter decongestants alone. Your physician may need to prescribe antibiotics.
4442651 tn?1355714087 I am now sick again, (25 weeks) dr told me to take ANY Tylenol (phenylephrine hcl) which I took 3 doses as recommend on pack over the past 24 hours and now I recently looked online and I have read so much stating it causes birth defects in the abdomen and restricts blood flow to the placenta. I am so worried I may have caused damage to my baby!!! :-( I know the dr said it was okay but I feel so horrible right now. I hope everything is okay. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
Avatar f tn For a while I've been needing to "sigh" a lot before I talk, because I feel like once I start I'll run out of air. It was a fairly rare thing that I just got made fun of for. It's been happening more recently, and it feels like my throat and chest is restricting. I've been blaming it on allergies and the fact that I'm pretty much always congested.
Avatar n tn The pseudoephedrine in the claritin d is really what will help with your headaches the most. I suffer from chronic sinus headaches and have taken pseudoephedrine as needed through pregnancy. As long as its not taken excessively, its fine.
Avatar f tn Every year I have the worst allergies and so far nothing, I'm 6w2days and hoping that I won't get them this spring but highly doubt it. I will definitely ask my Dr.
Avatar m tn Hello, have a nice day, recently had a bad case of allergic rhinitis, my nose was bleeding fr a couple of days and it was very dry. I started taking loratadine with pseudoephedrine. I Also take Enalapril 5 mg. During the last 4 week I started experiencing a case of very dry eyes and itching in left eye. And now everytime I notice a dark spot (like a shadow) that pops in the left corner of my eye very quickly and dissapears inmediately. I do have blurred vision when I close and open my eyes.
Avatar n tn I am also having difficult time breathing and feeling fatigue all the time. These symptoms started a week ago and are new to me. I don't understand what the problem is. Can someone help me define it. Thanks!
Avatar n tn I took a Mucinex D one night and had a major reaction that night with tingling of the arms and legs, and heart racing. Eventually it got better, but I still get the tingling in my arms and legs, and sometimes they even feel really weak. My Dr. told me it was an allergic reaction to the pseudoephedrine (which I've taken in the past and never had a problem).
746512 tn?1388807580 I have allergies that both cause pretty bad nasal congestion, and itchy eyes and red face. None of the medicine affects the nasal congestion which I believe is really affecting the "reactive airways" (possible asthma) that I was diagnosed with earlier this month. I am currently on advair and aerius but aerius isn't working as well as it use to for me.
Avatar m tn Also, I take a syrup for common cold and influenza (dosage teaspoonful 5ml which contains 160mg paracetamol, 1mg chlorpheniramine maleate, 15mg pseudoephedrine HCI, and 4.5mg dextromethorphan HBr). I'm going into some special urgent medical examination for a new job: 1- Liver test (Hepatitis B and C) 2- General blood test (Biochemical analysis) 3- Urine test Would my antibiotic (augmentin 1g) and the above medication affect the results of the above tests?
Avatar m tn MSG, caffeine, alcohol, iodine in seafood, ephedrine or pseudoephedrine in cold and allergy meds, dehydration + many more. Did your Dr. say to come back if it continued?
