Avatar f tn How soon after a cataract operation (on the 4th) can I have dental treatment for replacing a crown or maybe having this back tooth out. Some aching experienced but dentist said it did not look urgent. The discomfort is on the tooth next to the wisdom on the inside and on this side there seems to be a gap and sharp edge to the cap.
1203066 tn?1265879976 I took her to the vets last year to have an operation as she had a broken tooth taken out and she had an abcess under her chin aswell. before that she was drinking out of my glass whether it was on the coffee table or my bedside cabinet aswell and her own water bowl. Directly i walked in with a glass of water in my hand she made a beeline for it and beat me to it to drink it myself (the cheeky cat).
Avatar m tn I had two dental implants put on me today, by my dentist he used local anesthesia, can I expect a sore throat as a side effect ? after the local anesthesias effect went away ? i am experiencing a sore throat after the operation.
Avatar n tn I would like to know why laughing gas (nitrous oxide) is not a good option for my daughter to undertake while receiving dental care as she needs to be sedated. I am told that she needs to be adminstered the normal anesthesia as if she were receiving a surgery in a hospital. I understand that a cardiologist as well as the anesthesiologist should be present during the care (dental), but why specifically is laughing gas more hard on her system?
Avatar m tn Rather, about 20 years ago I began finding that tissue prolapsed during defecation had to be manually replaced by pushing against the toilet seat or the corner of a sink or table. About 10 years ago I began experiencing such prolapse when standing or walking for extended periods. Again, pushing that area against the corner of a hard chair or table would push the tissue back in. About 5 years ago I began to find it necessary to carry a small tube of personal lubricant (e.g.
Avatar m tn They then rolled me gurney and all into the operating room, where they had me shift onto the table. (My gurney stood by so I could ride back to post-op in it.) I looked at the shiny light in the ceiling for a little while and they put on my mask (giving me oxygen, which is great stuff to breathe!) and then they knocked me out by putting something into my I.V. I woke up in post-op, where the nurses were watching out for me.

Avatar f tn I had a dentist appointment this morning, The dentist hygienic did a cleaning in my teeth, but unfortunately did not see any plastic wrap in the table for a disposable instrument , so i have doubt that the hygienic reused the instrument, if the dentist hygienic reused the instrument/tools do you think i have a risk to contract hepatitis virus?
Avatar m tn You mean the exact surface area? There's no way to know the exact measurement of each tooth in a person because teeth vary but you can get a rough estimate from averages. In Schillingburg's Fundamentals of Fix Prosthodontics 3rd ed, there's a table of the average root surfaces but I'm unable to cut and paste it from the book to show you.

600409 tn?1219747198 If you see will with the monofocal IOL and glasses over it why take a risk of losing your eye completely with another intraocular operation. Besides you have to wear glasses anyway while doing dental work for eye protection.
329165 tn?1515471990 I am going for Surgery in the next few weeks - Nissen Fundoplication and my Surgeon mentioned that I should get Prophalaxis Antibiotics before and after the operation, but then I told him as far as I know it is not necessary as my valve is fixed? Now I am a bit unsure... should I still take prophalaxis before surgeries, dental work, etc.? what is the latest info on that?
Avatar f tn I'm a dental assistant and clean plaque off kids teeth and watch teeth get drilled all day. I definitely have to take deep breathes and go to my happy place for some of them.
Avatar f tn I'm having a left thyroid lobectomy on sep.1 and am really worried. The doc said my biopsy was suspicious and it was a cold nodule. Its only 1.7 cm. They are going to send it to pathology while I'm on the table to see if its cancer, if it is than they will do a TT. Just wonderingwhat are my chances of it being benign. I've heard that cold nodules are worse than hot, and it just makes me worried. Can anyone help....
Avatar m tn I am 50 yrs old and was prescribed vicodin for alot of dental and hip pain about ten yrs ago. I wanted off the vicodin and lost my insurance. My husband was prescribed methadose for his back pain and has been on it for years. It was cheaper and easier for me to take one of his because of the withdraw from vicodin. Well now I am trying hard to get off that in the mornings. I take one ten ml in the morning and 1 to a half before bed to help me sleep.
Avatar f tn I watch on the movie. It said Doesn't matter what or how? They don't allow the patient die on the table. They must stitch up and put the patient in life support. Move him/her out of the operation table. The surgeons want their names clean and don't want any one suspect the patient was died in their hands. I'm wondering, if the patient die on the table, would they still charge their fees? Don't scare, as ed34 said..... so far no record as the heart won't start.
Avatar m tn I have attempted (2) DENTAL IMPLANTS and have had (2) IMPLANT rejections. With my first implant, my DENTIST thought that the implant's threads were too small thus not grabbing enough bone so a month or two later he retried the implant with another implant with larger grooves that that one seemed to set better, more securely and after a two week visit it seemed to be doing fine because XRAYS showed bone growing aound it at it was suppose to.
1017383 tn?1252014011 ops... my bad its "allopathic" you are right about the blockage....the thing is that he has a major operation table phobia...
Avatar f tn Okay so I am 22 years old and I will admit I am still afraid to go to the dentist, I have horrible pain with 2 of my back molers, one on each side. Last time I went my dentist (before I got pregnant) he had told me there was an infection begining and to go to a specialist...I didn't and here I am in so much pain. Didn't think I was going to get pregnant so soon after my first, so now they can't to X-rays on me. I've heard dental problems can affect your baby...IS THIS TRUE!!???
