Are there any known side effects for Shen Calmer and Liver Happy Capsules? My dog has been taking them for about a week now. He is taking them for anxiety, no signs of relief yet, but no prescriptions have helped him so this is our last resort. The second day he vomited and the vet said she hadn't ever seen that so we have kept going.

Have you gotten back to your vet to tell him about the vomiting? He may be able to prescribe a different steroid or change the dosage to alleviate the vomiting or prescribe an additional medication/diet to alleviate the vomiting.

I lowered the dose to 300mg once daily but just recently raised it back to 300x 3 daily because right side discomfort an increase in bilirubin. It was a Adenoma...It ruptured in Dec 09..I was in ICU for 3 weeks..when this first happened They did three Embolizations..Then finally in May of this year they had to remove it..I just wasnt sure if all this was normal..Funny they have no idea what might have caused this tumor..they were thinking birth control..But I wasnt on it for years..but they still told me to stay away from any OCP..
