Cyclobenzaprine and soma

Common Questions and Answers about Cyclobenzaprine and soma

flexeril

Avatar f tn You are right, certain medications particularly muscle relaxants and antichlinergics, interfere with the results of EMG like baclofen and flexeril or cyclobenzaprine that you are taking. It would be prudent to apprise your neurologist of all the medications you are on, so that the EMG results are appreciated in that light. Muscle biopsy can be taken up after an EMG. Consult your neurologist for his preferences and expertise. Take care.
Avatar n tn They are similar to soma - not as strong - flexeril is cyclobenzaprine (check spell)and soma is carisprodol.......
Avatar n tn you might feel discomfort, pain, fatigue, yet insomnia, and minor convulsions as some withdrawals from soma. Please be careful and try and taper off that would be the best idea.If you have any other questions feel free to ask away. best of luck to you....
676302 tn?1237863491 I am wondering what is the name of the muscke relaxer that helps everyone. I have been taking cyclobenzaprine an all it does is makes me sleepy. It doesn't relax my muscles and right now I am really having a problem with the spams. Any help you can give please.
372416 tn?1242665752 that is soma...and it is addictive..not as bad as klonopin but can be addictive for some people...it breaks down in the body to something very similar to a benzo..
Avatar n tn Hepatic Impairment In a pharmacokinetic study of sixteen subjects with hepatic impairment (15 mild, 1 moderate per Child-Pugh score), both AUC and Cmax were approximately double the values seen in the healthy control group. Based on the findings, Cyclobenzaprine HCl should be used with caution in subjects with mild hepatic impairment starting with the 5 mg dose and titrating slowly upward.
Avatar n tn 55am, I forgot I took the celexa and I took Cyclobenzaprine. Do you think is something I should be worry? I looked online about the drug interaction and they say could be deadly. I am very worry. Any advice of what I can do? Do I gonna be okay? How long apart I can take those two medications?
Avatar m tn Muscle relaxants like carisoprodol (Soma), cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril), and even diazepam (Valium), and clonazepam (Klonipin) are not narcotic agents, although the last two are benzodiazepines. Ask your doc about dantrolene (Dantrium).
475300 tn?1312423126 I have had muscle and joint pain for at least 8 - 10 years and my Doc always gave me Soma and upon occasion Vicodan. I preferr not to take Vicodan due to the effects on the liver. Now I take Soma and Foirocet (tylenol again) which usually does not touch the pain. A Rheumatoligist diagnosed my Fibro. I am afraid (as are most) to ask for something else as I take all of my soma ect and need another script when the time is due.
175688 tn?1297556647 soma is more like valium. all three are addicting, so really it's not a good idea to use it for w/d, in my opinion.
Avatar n tn Can I take Hydrocodone 10/325, Cyclobenzaprine 10mg, and Tramadol 50mg together safely?
Avatar m tn I have severe chronic back pain due to an auto accident I was in many years ago. I've been on several different muscle relaxers including Skelaxin and Flexeril. Skelaxin did not help me at all but Flexeril did. The Flexeril worked great for many years until it stopped and I had to switch to a new med and that's when my Dr put me on the Soma. The Soma does work great but I struggle to keep it under control.
Avatar f tn I had issues with this and started eating bananas, and drinking orange juice.. and table salt. Just a thought.
917815 tn?1377498254 I dont post much (read a lot though)...a little over 3 weeks clean (again, LOL)... My right shoulder has been killing me the last 2-3 weeks, and this weekend, seems to have gotten worse; Doc said on Fri, most likely muscular...went through the weekend with Tylenol and today, pain is even worse. I asked him for something "non-narcotic" (he knows about my addiction) and he suggested Cyclobenzaprine (muscle relaxer).
Avatar f tn Hi. I am wanting to quit taking Cyclobenzaprine. I took 20mg a day off and on, like twice a week for 2 years, and then started taking the 20 mg every day for the last 13 years. I plan to wean off, and am wondering what to expect as of withdrawal symptoms. Also, does anyone know of a natural med I could take in it's place?
Avatar m tn I had a drug test done and I am in pain management. I take Soma 350 and my test came back negative for Soma but positive for Meprobamate. I only take the Soma when needed. My questions are, how long does Soma stay in your system and what is Meprobamate?
Avatar n tn I would let the vet know what had happened just so that if you DO end up having to take him to the office in an emergency (if the pill makes him sick) he will know what has happened.
Avatar f tn That is a lot of Soma even when use to it, 15 a day will still affect your motor skills memory and a few other things..add the xanax I do not think functioning properly would define it.. We all have a past maybe it is time to deal with it.. If you just started the xanax I would suggest giving them to someone you trust you are taking way to much.. The soma has to be tapered as does the xanax ... I'm awake if you would like to talk..
Avatar n tn i am new here. I read a few forums and such. Me and hubby take Lortab and Soma. Soma's like 15-20 a peice at night just to sleep. I take about 9 Lortab's a day and he takes god only knows how many a day. Between the both of us we go through 90ish every other day. We get some legitamately and some not. We want to stop now. We are scared of withdrawals and neither one of us can afford to miss work or let our families know.
3170462 tn?1344717552 I take Soma occasionally if I have had an unusually physical and active day, and my muscles ache! Soma can tend to make me drowsy, a little nauseous, and really kind of loopy! LOL! It definitely not something I could take regularly and still function! However, it does help to relax my muscles after a long day! Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in on Soma! Take care!
483757 tn?1208481255 I am 35 weeks pregnant with my 4th child. My OB took me off of all of my Fibro meds at the beginning of pregnancy. (Meds were- Neurontin, Cyclobenzaprine, Baclofen, Trazodone, Vit. D and Tramadol) The only thing she will allow me to take is 1/2 to 1 tab of Vicodin 10/500mg a day even though narcotics have NEVER worked for my pain and she knows that- and I hate Vicodin.
Avatar m tn me and my wife have been taking vicodin and soma up to 20 times a day for the past 6 or 7 years, we have tried many times to stop. I get most of our pills from mexico. She already has depression and only gets severely depressed when we don't have our pills. I used to be strong but now I find myself so weak, what can I do? Before something bad happens, we have 2 young kids too, otherwise I would go to a rehab.
Avatar f tn I will try to keep this as short as possible. I know you generally don't titrate but if someone could help me a bit I think it may be the only way I'm going to possibly make it. I had back surgery, as told pain was from collapsed disk. Pain didn't leave and I was told the pain would go if I got off the pills. Went Rapid Detox. Pain stayed. Ended back on pain meds. Was told when I built up back pain would leave.
660007 tn?1234065741 Thanks for the further clarification. Lexapro also goes by the name Escitalopram, so you can use that drug/treatment. It's already on the mood tracker. We'll add Adderall to our list of requested tracked values and let you know when it's available. For the pain tracker, Vicodin will be an option available next week. We'll add Soma to our list and let you know when that's available.
529159 tn?1224991026 My Doctor rolls her eyes up every time I tell her something new. With only Gabapentin and cyclobenzaprine, and Doxepin for sleep ( which does'nt work when these cramps hit). My last visit the Doctor suggested counseling. Good luck. Oh and SSI has refuted my disability claim as well, stating fibro is not disabling.
Avatar f tn I take Hydrocodone 10/500-4 times a day, Soma 350mg-4 times a day, Celexa 20mg-once a day, Lipitor 20mg-once a day, Enjuvia 0.9mg-once a day, Motrin 1600mgs a day, Asprin 350mg-4 times a day, all these everyday for over a year. I had to take pain management urine drug test and it tested positive for Benzodiazepines and they said my Soma didn't show up at all.
Avatar f tn I have a call out to the lactaction nurse but she has not called me back yet. Has anyone heard of the pill Soma and should I take this while breastfeeding? I would love to hear opions on this.
Avatar f tn How did your doctor tell you to take them? I would follow his advise but yes you can take them together.
