So as of right now i dont have a doctor to ask if its safe to combine the medication.. I dont think over the counter medication is going to help with these finding..
Thats what my doc prescribed for me as well. Flexeril is safe to take during pregnancy. you can look up prescription meds at drugs.
I am new to this site, saw your post, and feel compelled to tell you about my experience with Flexeril. Several years ago I was having serious neck spasms, so my doctor prescribed Flexeril. I don't remember the milligram, it was standard, and I was to take 3 a day. The first day I took three, I found myself looking at my bottle of pain medication thinking about taking the whole bottle at once! I immediately threw the Flexeril in the trash.
It does not happen with anything else but flexeril, or pm medication. i have Kaiser, they have never cared to look into my problems, even though i come in almost once a month, they just send me out saying i need to posture up, and go buy an inversion table (would love to, cant afford it) obviously i need serious help. can you help me with the right answers? what should i do??? what medication should i ask my doctor about?
Your body is used to getting this medication. It is going to be looking for it. This is just my opinion, I am not a doctor. I have taken flexeril, could not take more than a 1/4 or I would feel very odd. Maybe that was a good thing. You can get a pill cutter and start cutting your dose. We aren't allowed to talk about how to dose hopefully you can get the jist of this. While trying to wean down I would up your vitamins.
Flexeril is a muscle relaxant. Sweetie, I would ask your doctor about something like that before taking anything. You never know if you will have a reaction to a medication and if it was not prescribed to you and you received it from someone else that person could potentially be in trouble with the law. I do not believe Flexeril is addictive. But, please call your doctor instead.

I been taking flexeril for years because of muscle pain due to Lupus and for the last 2 months have been being treated for severe indigestion as a side effect of the med Verapimil. I was wondering if the flexeril could relax the sphincter muscle that is involved in GERD? Please give me any ideas or info you might have regarding if the flexeril would be contraindicated due to the GERD situation? Thanks, God bless!
I see a pain management doctor and have spinal injections every 12 weeks. I was prescribed Vicoden 10/325 for pain as well as flexeril and gabapentin. Neither the flexeril or the gabapentin seem to help with muscle tightness, spasms, or nerve pain. I am seeing my doctor again in two days and I wondered if any one could tell me of medications that have worked for you. I have a high tollerence to medication, most do not make me sleepy at all.
Went to the urgent care and he advised to try to see if just Tylenol, rest, heating/icing would relieve any pain but gave me a prescription for flexeril, a muscle relaxer, and a pain medication. I am nervous to take either but nothing else has done much so far. I can barely walk upright. Has anyone ever taken muscle relaxers pregnant? I plan on calling my ob tomorrow when they open again but wanted advice.
Does anyone know very much about Flexeril? I just received an call from someone that thinks they may have overdosed on it. He usually does not take it and took up to ten 10mg tablets today and feels somewhat out of it. 100mg in one shot shouldn't do too much should it? He is in No. CA and I'm in So. CA so I can't get to him. Should I be concerned about him not waking up? Apparently he took six of them yesterday and I read the half life is 1-3 days.
Hi again has anyone tried Flexeril (muscle relaxant)? Any bad side effects and did it help pain , I have I guess myofascial pain. Any trouble with withdrawal gettnig off of it?
I would be very careful when trying to come off any medication while on a SSRI. As far as taking Soma and Flexeril at the same time, absolutely not. As you know they are both muscle relaxers. Remember your heart is a muscle too, and toxicity from muscle relaxers will take you to a place of suffering you don't won't to go. Neurontin, however I strongly agree to continue taking. It has been known to help with uncomfortable sensations brought on by withdrawls.
I presume you know that Amrix is the extended release of form of cyclobenzaprine which is better know as Flexeril. It is a muscle relaxer.
I have not taken Amrix but I have taken Flexeril periodically in the past and initially when diagnosed with SIJ Dysfunction about 6 years ago. I tried unsuccessfully to adjust to the medication. It made me drowsy. Than I began taking it only in the evenings and upon waking I had a "hang over" feeling.
you need to consult a neurosurgeon for evaluation. You have been prescribed drugs like flexeril, muscle relaxant, gabapentin, anti convulsant used for neuropathic pain, opioids, etc. You need to put faith whichever combination of medications you are using. Do not mix up drugs or try all. Follow one doctor’s advice and consult the doctor again if not much relief. Check with a physiotherapist and if still in pain, consider undergoing surgery. ve been on several different muscle relaxers including Skelaxin and Flexeril. Skelaxin did not help me at all but Flexeril did. The Flexeril worked great for many years until it stopped and I had to switch to a new med and that's when my Dr put me on the Soma. The Soma does work great but I struggle to keep it under control.
