Common Questions and Answers about Crestor time of day

crestor

Avatar n tn Could my shortness of breath. weakness and aching be cause by Crestor? I have seen a pulmonary doctor and a cardiologist. They say my heart and lungs are fine.
Avatar n tn Yes, the prophylactic administration of isoniazid (INH) for a TB chest conversion may cause inflammation of the liver, but does so in a minority of individuals taking the medicine. However, there is also the risk of liver inflammation due to the medicine Crestor® (rosuvastatin) and it is conceivable that there could be an additive effect of Crestor® (rosuvastatin) and INH. In addition, niacin may increase the risk of muscle disease called myopathy when used with Crestor® (rosuvastatin).
Avatar f tn hi! My Dr put me on Crestor, 40 mg once a day for high cholesterol and coronary plaque buildup..... Today is my 4th day taking it. Ive seen the commercials...and Ive researched online...It seems ok...Ive tolerated Lipitor in the past with absolutly NO side effects. I just noticed today that i seem to be sore...in my shoulder and neck.... as when I would shrug my shoulders...the muscles there seem sore when I do that. Now, maybe I did something...? Sat the wrong way, slept the wrong way...
Avatar n tn took me off Crestor last month but the pain returned within a few days, although not as intense as it was prior to my stopping Crestor. I took myself off fenofibrate just a couple of days ago and "Wow" what a difference! I can actually sleep at night and notice that the pain is dissipating more and more each day. Since I cannot eat much meat (digestive issues) and really don't eat foods high in cholesterol, I believe I'll be just fine!
Avatar m tn I believe crestor has a half life of around 18-19 hours. So, it doesn't take long to be removed from the body. Wasn't crestor the statin that had a petition raised against it and sent to the FDA, who threw the petition out? I agree with the FDA, there was no real basis to have the drug removed.
Avatar n tn I still got terrible pain time to time on my muscles. I am on VIt D3 1g/day. this pain started two days ago and is not going anywhere. should I still go on Zetia?
Avatar n tn Hi...I am on numerous meds...heart(tachycardia arrythmia)-ATENOLOL; High Cholesterol-CRESTOR; Hernia-PRAVACHOL; Fibromyalgia & Osteo-Arthrytis-KETOROLAC; water retention-LASIX; Sinus-FLONASE; Dysrythmia-ATIVAN. I have also been on EFFEXOR for 5 years for severe depression. My dosage has been increased twice in the past month--I now take 187.5 mg...I woke up at about 12 midnight last Sunday and I have no recall of the past 4 days; however, I apparently withdrew $7000.
Avatar n tn I have redness that occurs on the top of my penis shaft from time to time. I have seen the local dermatologist and we did a biopsy. The results were signs of mild chronic dermatitis. Is there anything I can do to help this, seems the steroid cream helps but 3 to 4 days after I quit using it I get really red again. If the path lab showed nothing else should I get another type of test for anything else that might cause such things.
Avatar n tn Long time ago, cardiologist said no need to change when another MD suggested. (I think Crestor has big marketing push). Is there any advantage to Crestor given my figures?
Avatar m tn Weight loss a most common side effects of Topamax. Crestor side effects include nerve pain and nerve damage. Cholesterol is needed for healthy nerve and brain function. Vitamin B12 in methylcobalmin form is recommended to help with nerve regeneration.

Avatar n tn 1 month later he was not saticfied with the drop in cholestoral so he put me on a fairley new drug called Trilipix. I take 10mg of lisinopril for high blood pressure, 10 mg of crestor, and 145mg of trilipix. After being put on the trilipix I started felling tired and having stomache problems (constipated and cramping). I went back to have my a1c check last week and it was 8.0.
Avatar n tn Hi, Jeannie, I am not a doctor and this does not constitute medical advice. Your husband's cholesterol level is one factor in a total clinical picture that includes such factors as family history of heart disease, weight, waist measurement, blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, EKG, and physical exam, including listening to the heart. All of the above factors could be within clinical guidelines and he, or anyone, could still suffer a sudden cardiac arrest resulting in death.
Avatar n tn Has anyone gotten worsening of their PVC's from taking a statin drug? I seem to be intolerant of these drugs and have tried Crestor, Lipitor and Lescol. My PVC's go absolutely nuts when I take them. I have done my own tests by going off and on them. I consistently get worse when I'm on them. I take C0Q10 and a whole bunch of supplements including magnesium to no avail. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn com on here u will find a search bar on top right of page type in crestor or hair loss and u will be directed to different pages . Thanks and hope you get sorted quickly.
Avatar f tn My first question to you would be whether you noticed this problem of premature ejaculation after starting Crestor? If yes, then Crestor is the culprit. Though, not a very common side effect of Crestor, this drug can cause loss of libido or premature ejaculation or both. Similarly, Nebivolol, which is a beta blocker, can cause ejaculation issues and erectile dysfunction.
Avatar n tn It could also be a side effect of one of the drugs. I would ask your doctor about that too.
Avatar m tn How much Crestor were you taking? With the Cholesterol levels given in your original post, I wouldn't take more that 5mg.
Avatar n tn A low total fat with less than 30 gm per day and less than 12gm saturated fat has been shown to actually make blockages regress with time For more information, I would encourage you to consider my book, Your Guide to Optimal Health. www.personalwellnesswheel.
Avatar n tn 1) In studies comparing equal doses of Crestor to Lipitor, Crestor has been shown to lower LDL levels ~10% and increase HDL levels 2-4% more than Lipitor. Your triglyerides, total cholesterol, and LDL's are in the optimal range, and your HDL level is in the middle. Based on these numbers, there doesn't seem to be a need to switch to Crestor. 2) There is little evidence on the use of EPA alone.
Avatar f tn Some natural ways to treat high blood pressure are to increase aerobic exercise, limit salt intake to 2,400 mg, trying to eat at least 3,500 mg of potassium a day, from foods such as yogurt, cantaloupe, spinach, and bananas, limit alcohol consumption, and even trying some forms of meditation. Some supplements that may help with blood sugar are GTF chromium, magnesium, Alpha-lipoic acid, and Coenzyme Q10. Please talk with your doctor before taking any suppplements.
Avatar f tn I am taking Crestor 20 mg a day, my ejection factor is 55 which they say is normal but I still take all these medicines for Congestive Heart Failure. Have you ever been tested for Atrial Fibrillation? If not, it is very important. It's when your heart races real fast. I have it and I am 61 years old but I take Multaq and Digoxin in very small doses. Some days I feel so weak. It seems like after four hours of doing anything, I have to rest.
Avatar f tn My gut feeling is that it was a combination of drugs, as I have been taking Crestor for quite some time without elevation of liver enzymes but the difference was the addition of augmentin and then GENERIC zyrtec, which seemed to have more side effects than the brand I have taken in the past. The itching is driving me CRAZY...liver enzymes still elevated but are coming down. You were right, Nexium is now allowed, but hope that isn't contributing to the itching.
