crestor

Avatar n tn t know how low she put in a request that needs to be approved for 20mg.
Avatar n tn Could my shortness of breath. weakness and aching be cause by Crestor? I have seen a pulmonary doctor and a cardiologist. They say my heart and lungs are fine.
Avatar f tn I had to look twice at the date on your post to be sure. Crestor is not new, it's been out for almost 7 years. It's called the "gorilla statin" because it is much more effective than the lighter statins like lipitor and zocor. As such, it does have higher incidence of side effects. Check with your doc about any muscle soreness when on a statin, there is a blood check to see if it's anything to worry about.
Avatar f tn So, I recently found out my bad cholesterol is at 223. Not good at all. I started on crestor, than realized I am ttc and starting not feeling well and am on my ttw...I test for my pregnancy saturday. I took the crestor for 4 days than stopped and its been a little over a week. Should I restart and then stop if pregnant or not bother because of the possibility of there being a fetus? I am just worried about my health.
Avatar m tn I have been taking 1000 mg Niaspan for six years to treat genetically high Lipoprotein(a). Now my physician wants to stop the Niaspan and begin a very small dose of Crestor. His reason is due to a recent study indicating Niaspan as a risk of causing bleeding and/or infection problems. I have already had one bad experience with another statin, Advicor, that resulted in me having permanent lymphedema in my ankles and legs. Now I am unsure about Niaspan.
Avatar f tn Crestor is not only hard on your Liver, it is highly contra-indicated if you have hypothyroidism. If your doctor got your hypothyroidism under control, your high cholesterol, which is a symptom of hypo, would lower itself. I think you are getting poor care. There is no excuse at all for your TSH to be 23.57 if you have been treating this for over 25 years.
2121042 tn?1344839176 So the doctor recommends the flu shot. Im 28 wks pregnant. Do you think its good or bad to get the shot?
Avatar f tn im 39 weeks & 2 days. I'm 75% effaced and 1cm dilated. Is this good or bad? I expected to have dilated more.
Avatar f tn You should try to have your LDL under 100 with 79 being better. HDL over 60 is pretty good. Crestor lowers LDL and raises HDL. Some people do not need to take the full strength Statin and can take a small amount and still show benefits. My dad takes only a chip of his Lipitor and his cholesterol stays down low. A lot of doctors themselves are taking a small amount of a statin to prevent heart disease even if they have normal cholesterol levels.
Avatar n tn s not a bad thing...it just is...talk to your Dr about the side effects of Trilipix or google it...and discuss with him/her about oral meds along with diet & exercise...I have type 2 as well and I started on oral meds about 5 yrs after diagnosis...now 27 yrs later I am on oral and insulin and my blood sugars are fantastic!! Good luck and let us know how it goes...
