I have been experiencing a variety of symptoms that have lasted about 4 or 5 weeks. Sneezing,coughing, headaches and such. My doctor says its not a cold because its lasting more than the average week so he has treated me for allergies. I have also been having gastrointestinal problems bloating, lots of gas, mild stomach aches but no diarrhea with the exception of 1 time. Along with an ache in my left thigh.
My tiny four pound Maltese/Poodle cross has been coughing and I was wondering if someone has any ideas. He is about 8 1/2 and has had issues with his behavoir. He won't let us have him groomed without him trying to bite us or get his nails trimmed, so every four months or so we have to have him knocked out to have this done. I wasn't sure if this was some of his problem from the stuff they give him or what, but he does it alot especially at night.

Follow up with Pulm realized no coughing at night and diagnosed with Protracted Bronchitis. Treated 3 weeks of Augmentin 500mg BID x three weeks. Nasal and throat cultures test negative except for rhinovirus. Albuterol (qid) Combivent (BID) combined treatment resolved shortness of breath finally so dropped albuterol and combivent... but cough still persists. Follow up again with Pulm increased dosage of Flovent to 110.
Now on the 2nd surgery, I had a four year old and I was a little bit older, I laid in bed and did not get uip very much for a few days, I had Severe sharp shooting pains in my shoulder on my back, in my chest everywhere. My doctor told me they were gas pains from when they cut you open. I promise if you walk around and move about it will break up and go away. Hope your feeling better.
To make this short and sweet we moved from a high desert area of the country (Santa Fe, NM) to New Orleans, LA. Our four year olds nose has ran no stop ever since the move 5 months ago. He is always sucking it up and it causes lots of coughing at night time because he hasn't quite learned how to blow it out and it drips in his throat and causes phlegm. Now that we are in a new environment with humidity etc how can we lessen his runny nose and phlegm he gets all the time now?

For most asthmatics night time is when it tends to flare up more. That is why he is coughing more at night. It will take a few days for the steroid to kick in. Just keep up with his treatments and keep an eye on his symptoms. Especially for sever shortness of breath. Also check to see if his skin between his ribs gets pulled in while breathing, that is also a sign of more severe lung obstruction. These are signs that he should be seen again.
I have been coughing for 7 weeks now - been to the dr 4xs - went on vacation cruise - in 87 degree weather hoping to break this nothing, been on a z-pak, steriods, cough syrup, cough pills, puffer, nasal thing, vicks rub on chest/neck wrapped with a scarf, over the counter things, zzz-quil, night quil, motrin for side rib pain from coughing my head off. Sometimes the cough is so bad I loose control of my bladder now. I blow my nose couple times a day.
It would take me hours to finally get the cough to subside long enough to go to sleep, but then I would end up waking up three or four times a night coughing. It would keep waking my husband up too. It is a very deep dry cough and has caused me to gag several times. I finally went to see my PCP and he prescribed Azithromycin and Bromfed. I took them until they were finished and neither one of them helped. I am now on Prednisone, an inhaler and Levofloxacin.
My girlfriend has 3 dogs, 1 of which is a female blue heeler (Tyler) about 4-5 years old. Tyler started developing a cough in mid-August, 2013. She has been coughing for the past 6 months. The 2 other dogs are in perfect health and have not developed a cough. I have outlined below the steps that have occurred during the past 6 months.

2.There are many data in the Internet says that AIDS blood in water can also infected people.Can you tell me how long can they survive(can infect other people)?

As you have had the persistent cough now for 3 weeks or so, I suggest you make an appointment to see your doctor to examine your throat and lungs and do a lung function test. If the doctor feels your cough is as a result of a bacterial infection, he will prescribe an antibiotic for you.
Having a cough is the body's natural way of trying to get rid of an irritant, whether this is a virus or a bacterial, dust particles, irritation by smoke and fumes etc.
yeah you have veins close to your skin,,inner and outter,sometimes when you have been coughing for days you may rupture some and thats when you see blood.That is only what my husband experienced,,and if it doesnt happen all of the time that would be my guess..But it never hurts to go to the dr,,especially if you have been coughing hard and it wont go awaty...hope this helps,,good luck!!
