hysterectomy

Avatar f tn I would be getting my uterus and cervix removed. How much do they cost out of pocket and is there any kind of financial assistance that would help me pay for the medical bill?
Avatar n tn This is another example of a would be frivolous law suits people perpetrate and the rest of us all pay sky high health care prices for that reason. Shameful. If you are not happy with this doctor by all means get a second opinion!
Avatar n tn unfourtunalty it seems to come with the surgery,,most gain an adverage of 20 lbs in a years time and seem to maintain that, all I can suggest is speak with your Dr about a exercise routine, what diet may work best for your metabolism ( a endocrinologist may be best for this as they can measure all hormones) last resort if you have the money and it really bothers you would be cosmetic surgery such as lipo or a tummy tuck do NOT do this with out several consults and certanity nothing else will
Avatar f tn s uterus grew back after a hysterectomy. So I guess what I am asking is what are the chances of this happening and is it possible to have a child with my husband. we banked his sperm before he started chemo. but we do not have the 12 thousand dollars to have the IVF and surrogate. 206807 tn?1331936184 However what concerns me right now is the various rebellions in the countries in the mid east not becauase I would want any of the leaders in place but because I dont know whats replacing them. I dont see any shifts to a democracy and quite the opposite. In some ways it reminds me of when the Soviet Union broke up. However there at least some of the countries became working democracies.
Avatar m tn It's not hard to think of all the good that money could do if it was used here in the US.
Avatar f tn There is no real advange in the DUO and the cost of the test is 3 times the cost of a standard antibody test.
Avatar f tn In California, it cost us about $18K out of pocket with all the meds (my husband had to do an extraction, though, so that tacked on $2500). The cost can vary some depending on what your particular issues are. But yes, it's very expensive if your insurance does not cover at least part of it.
Avatar f tn My insurance changes in less than a month now, but at present, I'm paying $60 for the Tecfidera, and maybe $20 total, per month, for a few others. I have alerted my neuro to the change and he and the pharmaceutical reps are prepared to do the legwork with the new insurer, but it's scary to think my new insurance might not cover my med. We'll see. And yes, I read your other post about the insane cost, and like you, I'm livid about it.
Avatar m tn ) The cost to us is in the medication. Even at that, for alot of us, our work insurance covers a good chunk of it and then you can apply to Trillium for coverage above and beyond which may or may not make a difference at all depending on your genotype and your income and takes a helluva long time to get approved. I don't know how I would have managed this in the U.S. I see an Endocrinologist and a Hepatologist...and a Psychiatrist for that matter in relation to my treatment.
Avatar n tn Wecome to MH and this forum annan , I am not certain what country you live in till you fill in your profile however here in the US we have Laser that works on scars very effectively, also other countries have laser treatment for scars , birthmarks and other blemishes. I have had a birthmark removed successfully by laser, the cost has come down considerably. No one has to live with scars anymore, put this into our Dermatology forum for further answers.
Avatar n tn I suppose by your post that you do not have Insurance and I'm not too sure where you would get help in this type of situation. If you haven't had positive Mammograms or some form of indication that you may have a suspicion of Breast Cancer I really see no reason for a Mastectomy at this time. I wonder if you have even found a Surgeon who would perform this procedure at this point.
Avatar n tn hey ladies.....do you guys know what is the average cost of IVF if we use my own eggs and sperms? If we use donor's eggs, how much it will cost more? Somebody mentioned to me it is at least $10,000 for a try. Thanks very much!
Avatar f tn I had an ultrasound last week and ever since that I have felt a burning sensation where the tech pushed down, fullness and overall discomfort. I am also having tons of gurling sounds in my upper stomach area and between my rib chage. I did notice this a few weeks ago, but it only happened a few times. It only happens when I am laying down. My US reveled one overy enlarged - complex appearing with echogenic internal debris and small cystic structures within.
Avatar f tn I was told by two doctors I couldnt get pregnant because of the trauma I experienced as a child and had a hysterectomy scheduled that I became pregnant a month and half before. My new doctor constantly reminds me how lucky it is of me to be carrying this baby and healthy as well. And I had a job here that eventually fell through because im pregnant. Turns out family businesses can burn you worse than a company with no correlation of the familial type.
Avatar f tn A good friend of mine was scheduled to have a hysterectomy in April, and she took a pregnancy test today which read 'positive'. She's 40 a yr old single mother of 2, and wasn't trying to get pregnant... in fact she'd had so many problems getting pregnant with ther boys and had so many problems with her period in recent years that she assumed she couldn't get pregnant (bad assumption!).
178345 tn?1242536246 I am 3 weeks out from my total hysterectomy and I started having the same exact type of pain you mentioned. It started after doing a lot of walking (we were shopping). I was walking so slow that it was starting to annoy my daughter - LOL.
629668 tn?1222914854 My insurance only covers the office visits and the meds but does not cover the IVF cost. It cost us about 8000 for the procedure.
483814 tn?1214311480 However, a conservative estimate might be somewhere in the neighborhood of 40,000 US $. With rescue drugs, biopsy, etc. the cost can easily exceed 150,000 US $.
Avatar m tn The cost of a radio frequency ablation in the United States can run from around $2,000in facilities that only specialise in this procedure to around $3,000 elswhere. It is my understanding that medical procedures in India can be as much as 70% less than the same treatment in the US which would make this procedure the equivalent of between $140 and $210 in India if what I have read is true. I hope this helps!
Avatar m tn ” It maybe feasible for a small town in the middle of no where that has 5 square miles of spare land with a population of 140,000 households that can afford to have their utility bill to increase from $250.00 to roughly $650.00. “The figures do not account for incentives such as state or federal tax credits that can affect the cost.” I also don’t like the idea of paying for someone’s Bills so they can feel good about the environment.
Avatar f tn Im sorry to hear you don't have insurance but in light of you previous problems I think you need to at least see a Nurse practicioner. Maybe she could help but at a lower cost. Or you can go to a community hospital. They will base your bill on your income in financial aid. Don't let this go I think your health over money is much more important.
Avatar n tn Obviously, I am here 8 years later writing this, working full time, running a household complete with two fun-loving dogs, so I obviously have survived this type of menopause but it has been at a high cost emotionally, finanically, etc, trying to find out how I could feel mostly "normal." Having said that, there are varying degrees of how a woman is going to handle a surgical menopause. They are not created equal.
