Avatar f tn I had my hysterectomy 20 years ago, with removal of uterus and both ovaries. I had extensive scar tissue, adhesions, cyst on and around my ovaries and fallopeon tubes...as my dr said it looked like a bomb went off inside. Moving forward occasionally I would feel something like when I had my ovarian cyst would "explode" and I just waved it off and maybe a muscle contraction. I went to my primary doctor, who sent me over for a ultrasound that day....
Avatar n tn HAVING TROUBLE LOOSING WEIGHT EVERY SINCE I GOT MY FULL HYSTERECTOMY TRIED EVERY THING AND STILL NO WEIGHT LOSE DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT I CAN DO TO LOOSE IT
Avatar f tn I was 23 when the doctor told me i had to have a hysterectomy at the time i was ok with it because I have 2 beautiful children and didn't think i wanted anymore. He said he was only doing a partial and i would still have my ovaries should i ever change my mind and want to have more children. Since then I divorce my husband and got remarried. My new husband has no children of his own and just finished fighting cancer and we want another child. I have read about women getting preg.
Avatar f tn Don't believe it!!! I had a partial hysterectomy in May 2010 and I've been having a period every month since then. I'm so frustrated. Now the doctor is telling me that since I didn't have my cervix removed, this is the cause to those periods. He's trying to tell me that bleeding after a hysterectomy is "normal" I'm looiking for another doctor.
Avatar m tn I am a female age 44yrs. and I had a hysterectomy in Nov 2010. An associate said that due to the lack of certain hormones present after a hysterectomy it may hinder or slow the process of healing of broken/fractured bones. Is this true?
Avatar f tn Last year they put me on Depo for one shot (I was previously on depo for 3 years about, and when my last shot finished 3 years ago i had my bleed straight away). Anyway...had one shot in Feb 2010, and my bleed arrived in July 2010 (miscarriage - please dont ask how, but I was 10 - 12 weeks). Then nothing until Dec 2010...it doesnt finish there.
Avatar n tn in sep 2010 i was diagnosed with stage 3c ovarian cancer. in oct. 2010, i had a total hysterectomy. my dr. said that i do not need chemo or radiation even tho my ca125 is 59.1 and before the surgery it was 952..why is that?
463897 tn?1468013750 Hi please be careful what you put on your comments as you told someone the only way to 100% diagnose ADENOMYOSIS is through having a hysterectomy THIS IS NOT TRUE!I was diagnosed in Jun 2010 by MRI SCAN 100% definate they can see the endometri on the scans! Do you have any medical background to be giving advice on this subject?I wouldnt like to think thaat your comment would sway someone into haven a hysterectomy for no reason.
Avatar n tn in oct. 2010, i had a total hysterectomy. in nov. 2010, i had another ca125, with a result of 59.1. now my dr. refuses to give me any chemo. why is that? i am extremely worried.
Avatar n tn Thanks for the info. I figured I would wait for lab results before I make another appt. seems like I have been to endo way too many times this yr. I do have a nodule that was biopsied and came back benign, then had it scanned again a few months ago with no change so all good there. Last time around, they added cytomel to my synthroid for a few months and it made me feel better, but have since gone back off of that due to costs.
Avatar f tn Oh WOW try to get hysterectomy as a last resort. I also have high risk hpv and endometriosis and for the same reasons had a complete hyst and have had problems with bladder leakage since b sure to choose a VERY good surgeon and take time to find them. I know that's easier said than done but believe me it is worth it in the long run. Hope this helps. Good Luck and God Bless.
Avatar f tn s hard to know if the problems are from the repairs/sling or the hysterectomy. Hysterectomy causes the bladder and bowel to drop down which can cause problems with elimination. Constipation is common after hysterectomy due to the displacement of the bowel which of course can cause hemorrhoids. And as Dr. Wanjari mentioned, vaginal atrophy can cause pain with intercourse. But the shortening of the vagina with hysterectomy (with removal of cervix) can also be a source of pain.
Avatar n tn Hello, could anyone please give me some information on when the HCV Drug Teleprevir will be available in British Hospitals. I've heard conflicting dates of 2010, or 2011. Could you please give me a more reliable date of when this will be available in the UK. Regards! http://www.medhelp.org/posts/new_with_new_subject?

The way the co-pay program works is that if your co-pay is more than $40, Acorda will pay the difference so the patient's max out-of-pocket is $40.
Avatar f tn In 2010 I went in to have polyps removed and to have a partial hysterectomy , it turned out that I started hemorrhaging and they did a full leaving in my overies , and tubes , back in 2010 I had pain in my ovaries and they did nothing they said the pain and bleeding was from the polyps , it is now 2015 and I still have pain with intercourse , pain in my left ovary , that goes into by back , they did pelvic ultra sound , just showed that my ovaries are extremely small for my age of 47 , they n
Avatar f tn i had total hysterectomy done on Sept. 1, 2010. The procedure was a da Vinci laparoscopy or a robot assisted lap. and the uterus was removed thru the vagina. I had D& C thru the same procedure done on Feb. 22. 2010 and never had any problems after that but the second one, the hysterectomy, i'm experiencing severe spasms and pain on the left side of the stomach. The pain is described as squeezing, tightening feeling that never stops.
Avatar f tn I had total hysterectomy in 2010 for adenocarcinoma. My ovaries were left. I had no chemo or radiation. All pap's have been good up till last one. It came back AGUS. How concerned should i be?
Avatar f tn They said that my uterus went from 155 ml in Dec. 09, to 243 ml on June 17, 2010. I have no symptoms, other than maybe one or 2 heavy days of my period. I am 53 years old and still have a regular period. Do I need a hysterectomy??? Do I need to take the lupron shots??
Avatar f tn How large is the fibroid, and did your Gynecologist recommend having a hysterectomy? You could get your own health insurance but most companies make you wait 3 months or more before they'll pay for any surgeries. Check out individual health insurance online. Some of the policies are very affordable.
Avatar m tn I can tell you I personally have been through hormone-hell since I had a full hysterectomy in 2010. I was put on Estradiol 1 mg. did well for one year. Then started getting severe hot flashes and facial hair growth, wasn't sleeping well either. So, I took it upon myself to stop the Estradiol. Oh my goodness, what a huge mistake!
Avatar n tn I had a laparatomy done in Feb. 2010 to remove 2 cysts, largest measuring 13cm and 1 fibroid 8cm. My CA125 was 730. Therefore, they proceeded with the laparotomy so they could do the frozen sections. During the surgery, they discovered that I had extensive endometriosis. After recovering at home, two months later, I had an MRI because I was experiencing severe abdominal pains. I developed another cyst 13cm on my left ovary. My doctor suggests that I get a hysterectomy.
Avatar f tn they were all great but I am still scared that I will never feel normal again. This is my fourth surgery in seven years including a complete hysterectomy. This is my first attempt at excision and I could use some reassurance from any of you who have had success with this surgery....thanks!
