Avatar f tn I would think it would be important to gather her scans and get her to someone who specializes in SM/CM. There is a list here in the forum of docs other members have used and liked. I saw you are in the UK there is also a list for the UK. Please do get her seen by someone who understands.
5112396 tn?1378017983 Something is definitely askew when the billed cost of a med for a year (that I would pay for in after-tax dollars) is MUCH more than that median gross income in the US. If I wasn't sick enough with MS, it would MAKE me sick....
572651 tn?1530999357 Was just looking into this drug last night via MS Ireland's latest newsletter. It actually has European Medicines Agency approval, which it received almost simultaneously with FDA approval. However, as you say, this Reuters piece indicates delays in its actual release in Europe. Though they didn't make it clear what the estimates were based on, the MS Ireland newsletter stated that it should be available for patients in Ireland in late 2014 (c. 18 months).
Avatar f tn I have bleeding almost everyday for 7 months now. I filled out the paperwork for a hysterectomy, but my insurance refuses to pay for it. I would be getting my uterus and cervix removed. How much do they cost out of pocket and is there any kind of financial assistance that would help me pay for the medical bill?
Avatar f tn Anyone know of a good NS or chiari specialist in Ireland? Is Bolger in Dublin the only one!?
Avatar f tn s uterus grew back after a hysterectomy. So I guess what I am asking is what are the chances of this happening and is it possible to have a child with my husband. we banked his sperm before he started chemo. but we do not have the 12 thousand dollars to have the IVF and surrogate. Could someone PLEASE help me with this..
630047 tn?1289248521 A man stumbles up to the only other patron in a bar and asks if he could buy him a drink. "Why of course," comes the reply. The first man then asks: "Where are you from?" "I'm from Ireland," replies the second man. The first man responds: "You don't say, I'm from Ireland too! Let's have another round to Ireland." "Of Course," replies the second man. Curious, the first man then asks: "Where in Ireland are you from?
Avatar f tn The doctors office won't give you a 3d ultrasound. You have to get it privately..
Avatar m tn I was thinking about waiting for the new drugs to come out but being on Medicare the cost may double what the SOC is now.
Avatar n tn there are blood tests for herpes in every country in the world. In the UK, you have to pay for them out of pocket - the gum clinics don't offer them. did you follow up on the other issues like I recommended in your previous post? it's easiest for us if you just keep adding to your original post. this is asked in our read before posting post on this forum. thank you for your future cooperation with this.
648439 tn?1225058862 I was shocked but I thought that perhaps in NZ is is not offered in treatment probably because of cost. I am talking govt funded treatment, not private. Does any NZ-er know anything about this - anyone being treated with Procrit or similar here.
Avatar n tn unfourtunalty it seems to come with the surgery,,most gain an adverage of 20 lbs in a years time and seem to maintain that, all I can suggest is speak with your Dr about a exercise routine, what diet may work best for your metabolism ( a endocrinologist may be best for this as they can measure all hormones) last resort if you have the money and it really bothers you would be cosmetic surgery such as lipo or a tummy tuck do NOT do this with out several consults and certanity nothing else will
1276940 tn?1564515084 I am a 40 year old (will be 41 next month) who had a hysterectomy in 2009 (have my left ovary in tact) I woke up this morning and the ends of my hair were SOAKING wet!!! And all day so far today I have been burning up (we are currently experiencing sleet/freezing raing and a lot of snow is on it's way so it's very cold outside) I am sitting here typing this in a short sleeved t-shirt and my hair up in pig tails and I am still sweating!!!
Avatar m tn I have a pain in both my ears for almost a year now. It in the area around the ears as well going towards the jaw. I am really worried now that the pain is now going away ever. I have been on antibiotic anti inflammatories syringed and none have worked.Along with the pain they also feel blocked. I am pretty sure that is comes from listening to my headphones to loud ( which I have course stopped). My GP says it should go away but its always there. I am going privately to an ENT in 2 months .
Avatar f tn If one had to pay privately any idea what the cost would be?
Avatar f tn Double check with your insurance. Sometimes it is a matter of the doctor not getting preauthorization. If this is the case, the physician can file the appeal for the "error" and it may be covered.
Avatar f tn u can get these over the counter in any chemist/pharmacy. Tell them in the chemist that u are pregnant so they give u the right medicine. Also in any of the shops or supermarkets buy a jar of manuka honey 15+ or higher strength. This works as an antibacterial product and is really good for u. Take a spoonful 3-4 times a day or even put it in boiling water and drink when its cooled down abit. The lemsip will cost around €3-4 or paracetamol the same. The manuka honey will cost around €8 or €9.
Avatar n tn Maybe ther was some miswunderstanding in the communications between you and the surgeon as to exactly what they would be removing. It is sometimes very confusing. To do a hysterectomy is the removal of the uterus.............to remove the ovaries is called an oophorectomy, so this could be a misunderstanding and you did not have your ovaries removed. I hope this helps. I do not think you need to call a lawyer but I do think a conversation with your physician could be enlightening. Good luck.
Avatar m tn One important caveat to that is Gilead has negotiated significant discounts to poor countries.
Avatar f tn In ireland one of the tales is if you buy anything before you reach twelve weeks (3mths) its bad luck..... Do you guys agree or do you think its ok? When did or will u start shopping? Im soo excited to start getting bits and im only a few weeks !
1303966 tn?1296740010 Hi Im the cl here and I had andomyosis,,what it is is the enlargement of uterus, becomes very heavy boggy, sponge like, I saw photos of my uterus before hysterectomy Dr put a insturment under it and it had no form at all kinda just sagged to both sides in the photo, It should be firm .
Avatar m tn m not sure what you are searching. The UK has the lowest incidence of HSV2 that I believe lies in the range of 6-10% of the population. However you had sex with a young virgin where the incidence is 0%. I know your situation is confusing. But you are now well and truly beyond the time frame for developing antibodies. You can get the correct IgG testing privately and that will cost you, but I think it will give you peace of mind.
Avatar f tn I've had endo since I was a young adult, followed by Adenomyosis adding into the mix when I was in my 30's and have been told hysterectomy is my only option to get rid of all my pain, excessive bleeding etc I had an endometrial ablation in 2005 to try and help, for a few months it worked then everything just grew back I still can't bring myself in my mid 40's to have one done even though the dr says I should.
649848 tn?1534633700 I didn't follow the case, but have to agree, a D&C is not the same as termination. As OH said - ironic....... a country that banned all abortion has now come full circle and has realized that there are instances, in which it's warranted. Tragic that lives had to be lost to bring them around. I can't imagine a mother with other children, being sacrificed because it's illegal to terminate a pregnancy that will take her life.
