how bad are they? you should go to the hospital anyway, because you've had contractions all day, that means your cervix was dilating..

Im 38+1 weeks pregnant Today. A few days ago I went to the hospital & they said I was having contractions but my cervix is long and hard so they sent me home and told me to walk and stuff. If its after hospital hours you'd go through the er and tell them you need to go to l&d.

Well here we go again. I'm having contractions & omg they hurt! I have no idea if I should go to the hospital,the last time I went it ended up being false labor & I really don't want to go throught that disappointment again! When should I go in & how could I know if this is the real thing? Last night I went to the hospital having contractions. they Checked me & I was only 1 cm& they watched me for an hour to See if I would make it to 3-4 but i didnt so they told me to come back if i keep having them & ive been contracting all night still and i dont wanna go all the way back to the hospital if nothing has changed ..

Everybodys pain tolerance is different I walked, talked, got a shower & all threw contractions they didn't really hurt so I took my time after my water had broke thinking i had plenty of time since i was told how painful it would br and I was 9 1/2 cm when i got to the hospital an hr later so I it don't matter how much pain ur in

I wouldn't go to the hospital until your contractions are at least five minutes apart or your water breaks. The hospital will just send you home or you'll be sitting in there for a long time.

You can go to the hospital whenever you feel like it, but they'll send you home if there's no reason to keep you. Being 4cm is not a reason to induce, unfortunately.
