contractions before period

Have any of you that have given birth before had period like cramps before you went into labor?

For those of you that have already had a baby did you get sick before going into labor? I've been sick all day extremely nauseous was having regular contractions earlier but never got close enough together to go to hospital and then they went away.

So lately I have been having period like cramps, discharge & a lot of pressure in my butt lol. Its nothing like when you have to poop pressure, but the pressure happens a lot of the time.. But I am currently 39 weeks, & this has never happened at all during pregnancy.

I've never heard that, to me it sounds your getting sick.

I'm supposed to be induced on Thursday (39 weeks) but am wondering if it's possible he might come before then because I've been having period like aches and numbing around my thighs the past day or two. No contractions felt yet, but just feel "off" and a little queasy. Has anyone felt something similar before delivery? Ftm, and so far never felt a contraction, not even braxton Hicks before...not sure what to expect or feel when delivery gets close.

hopefully you ladies have answers, every since I woke up this morning my stomach has been hurting, it fells like how it use to right before I would get my period. Like really Crampy and like a period but no bleeding. Sorry if that don't make sence but that's the best explanation. No severe back pain, no bleeding and I don't think any contractions my stomach just feels like that felling u got right before your period came, Im 34 weeks btw. Thanks!

Well, I will describe my experience with them in two ways. With my first, I was young and had not experienced any period cramps before. So, when people said they feel like strong period cramps, I was still unprepared. To me, at that time, they ended up feeling like extremely strong cramps for a bowel movement. The kind you get when you have an extremely upset tummy but more intense. Now, however, I have experienced painful menstrual cramps, and people described it pretty accurately.

So i just read contractions are like period cramps +10. When i have a period i get really bad back cramps and not so Much abdominal cramps so i guess my question is will i have more back labor contractions then abdominal?? Or does it matter how your period cramps were?

Im 41 weeks and woke up an hour ago to awful period type of pains, my belly goes really hard and then I get really sharp pain down below just like when I have a period, could this be contractions? I'm having a bath to try ease the pain but I'm just wondering if I could be getting this pain due to having sex last night because it has happened before..

My lower back feels like its hot kind of like cramps before starting youre period ... It starte this morning it went away now its came back ad for the past hr its been hurting !!?

Yes. Badly though. Also vomiting. I also get cramps and back pain exactly how I felt before my period would start. For the past two days I've been have back pain and contractions constantly all day but mild. I really thought I was in early labor, but it just went away finally after two days of it. I still think my baby is going to come at any minute.

My first few felt like I had to go to the bathroom really, really bad, a very intense pressure, then they felt more like period cramping. You'll know when you get them, trust me haha, it might take you a couple before you get what they are, but once you do you'll know!

Contractions start off like period cramps, then they feel as if you are holding in a huge fart, then they feel like your ******** a knife and finally they feel as if your pelvis is going to explode any second sending bone shrapnal shooting thought your body and into any unsuspecting bystanders. What exactly do contractions feel like?? I keep having this weird pain that I've never had before but it's not constant they are pretty distant apart... Does it feel anything like gas??? PLEASE HELP!!

I Had My Daughter Early On Christmas With Contractions That Woke me Out Of My Sleep !. They were Like Bad Period Cramps , Trust Me , You Would Be Able To Tell If They're Labor Contractions. One Contraction Made Me Nauseous So I Got Up To Walk To My Moms Room && Make Her Rub My Belly Because I Knew She Was Gonna Tell Me That It's Normal But When I Got To Her Room I Felt A Little Pop Like An Air Bubble In My Lady Part && My Pants Got Wet Like I Peed .

Before my water broke like period cramps with some stomach tightness. After my water was broken, like I really had to poop. I'm a ftm and with my first push I felt as if I was pooping and I kept asking " r u sure I'm not pooping, I feel like I am".

My OB told me when I feel like I cant walk or is having lots of pain in your stomach & below for more than an hour then you should go to the hospital.

What do your first real contractions feel like? Do they start before or after your water breaks?

Am confused too cause I get period like cramps too, but before this pregnancy I had a miscarriage and I had contractions with tht and they were painful so am confused and pretty much expectin the same pain as a miscarriage but worse

My period cramps don't even compare to contractions and I had horrible period cramps lol! I had a quick labor though so I had some really intense contractions.

So im 38 weeks today and have just started having some period pains?? Its like a dull ache really low down did anyone else get this? Is it a concern?

Im not 100% sure what a contraction should feel like. it's supposed to be when your belly tightens right? I have that happening but it doesn't really hurt that badly, it's uncomfortable that's it. And I feel kind of crampy like I'm going to get my period. Is this how it's supposed to feel?

So I'm 36+4 weeks and earlier today I've been getting like those pains that you get like seconds before you get your period, it's like a cramp but a bit sharp but my belly gets a little tight and i feel like I just have to stay still until it passes. Are those early contractions/Braxton hicks ithink that's what's they're called ? If they are does it mean my baby will be here sometime soon ?

Contractions feel like period cramps and starts in your back. Could be a start to contractions. I would keep track of them and call l&d.
