Headache on left front side with a crazy visual aura, took zomig, hour later took ibuprofen 600, albuterol sulfate and Ritalin. Cold and hot feeling across skin, mostly on right side, nausea, joint pain, burning pain in abdomen and chest, dizzy, tired and short of breath. Migrating sharp pains across body. Ringing ears. Vision is unnaturally blurry. Chest and stomach symptoms worsen when laying down, head symptoms worsen when standing up.

my 8 yr old is on concerta 27mg she has been on it for a month and just started complaing about her chest feeling like it was so tight she cant breath and her heart herts when her chest tightens...the nurse said give her tylnole and take her to her doctor in the morning not to give her her pill ..is she going to be alright we had a really bad experiance with the vyvance and the folcolin i cant let my baby go threw that again...how can i help her in school and not hert her while doing so?...

my son is taking 36mg concerta and having headaches what can i give him for the pain

I started taking 18 mg of Concerta once daily about 2 weeks ago. Oddly I have noticed two things: 1) I can no longer have my daily/morning coffee without severe nausea (even the pharmacist didn't have it as one of his warnings). 2) Despite the fact that it keeps me awake to the point that daytime napping is not possible I still feel exhausted most of the time which doesn't make much sense to me. Has anyone had anything like either of these things happen while they were taking it?

Hello Dr., my 14 y.o. son began experiencing chest pain this past Mon. night and into Tues. a.m. Saw his doctor Tues., who sent him to ER for evaluation. EKG, chest x-ray, ultra sound, and blood work appeared normal. Diagnosed as possibly having viral infection (e.g. influenza) that "landed" near his heart. Had slight fever (100.2) off and on Tues. Normal temp. since then. Son continues to have chest pain, no matter what he does.

My doctor thinks we may try something else to counteract the fatigue side effects of Paxil, once I concerta is out of my system. Honestly, this experience with concerta has me thinking of to phasing antidepressants altogether. I should mention that asside 50mg of Paxil I am also taking 0.5 mg of risperidon. Hello, I lost 15 pounds over the last 3 months. I'm taking Concerta (36 mg- twice per day), Tecfidera (240 mg twice per day) and Brintellix (10 mg). I have no appetite and when I eat everything tastes awful. Concerta and Brintellux are more effective for me versus Modnafinil and Cymbalta. However, I can't afford to lose anymore weight. Additionally, I'm only sleeping about 3 hours per night due to trips to the restroom.

In fact, I got it out of my bag and popped it IN the psych ward. Anyway. after a scary night of chest pain, arm pain and more heart arrythmias, I threw out the pills. Told my psych doc NO MORE. I am done with drugging my poor heart and body like this. I am young and have a lot to do in life. I don't want to die before I have a chance to enjoy what could be MUCH MUCH happier times. REAL happiness!! I just pray I have not done too much cardiac damage. Peace!!!

I didn't know they could cause seizures. But if you think about it that could explain why it looks like I have tourettes. My eyes move constantly and I think that I concentrate just fine. I make vocal ticks and I twitch alot. It's really a sight to see what the drug Concerta has permanently done to me. I had a seizure due to them a while back and every since then I have twitched and vocally ticked.

A little weird to be on both V and Concerta at the same time. They both are long lasting - 8 to 10 hours. I can see being on V and perhaps adderall in the late after noon. Or concerta and ritalin in the late afternoon. Since the Concerta/ritalin are the same type of meds. Same thing for Vyvannse and Adderall. Point being, why was the V not working for you? What symptoms did you have. I would think that the two could have been over dosing you. Did you ever try just V alone?

Ok...yes when i woke up the other morning my HR was 137 bpm; sometimes when i'm sitting, and i think i'm pretty relaxed, it'll go to 97-113 bpm. And lately, i've been feeling this one hard pound in my chest then it just palpitates. I don't get it. I've been trying to lay off the caffeine lately, and i have been on my same meds (Concerta 72 mg) for a year now, but i've never really noticed my HR as much as lately.

Like I mentioned earlier I am on my almost 3rd week of taking concerta and i hate it. I still don’t know if I am adhd but I am having the same problems as I did with the vyvanse. Severe headache and pain in between my shoulder blades. I have had a full cardio workout and I am 44 in good health and have no other problems than Hashimotos which I am not yet taking meds for when this is all over. Can someone please help??

concerta! I just started taking concerta 3 months ago and since then I have had a constant uti. Somedays it doesn't cause any pain and some days it does. I have been on 3 rounds of antibiotics during this time. I didn't make the connection between the two.

I found your question when I was looking up an answer to explain my own chest pains. The only time I have chest pain is when I have coffee. So your experience is helping me understand that coffee will have to be decaf from now on. (I will talk to my Doctor about it too- I'm just happy it's likely something I can control) I'm really sorry you had that experience- it sounds painful and terrifying.

I checked his eyes this morning before he took his Concerta pill and his eyes were still dialated, but not as badly as after he takes the Concerta. Should I take him to an eye doctor or should I discuss this with his psychiatist (who prescribes his Concerta) first?

My daughter has been on concerta for 3 yrs now and she has facial tics. We took her off now and its been about 4 days, they seem to have gone away except once in away in awhile I see one but mostly 3\4 or more are gone. So I would like to know if they were becuse of the concerta and not touretts.

I did not personally find it as helpful as the concerta.... but everyone is different! Your son might find it even more helpful then the concerta, you'll only know if you try it! It's not a stimulant, so... SOME people might think that was a plus... but... uhhh... it's sort of like an anti-depressant, so like with ANY anti-depressant your son MIGHT experience withdrawal effects if he ever wanted to go off of it...

my psychiatrist was very dubious to put me on ADD medication as im an ex crystal meth addict. obvious reasons. ive been clean for 8 years now and have been on concerta for almost a year. but i am bipolar and have very bad anxiety. concerta works very well for my ADD but not for my anxiety, is there a better way to get the best of both worlds?

The Concerta will show up for one to three days (in a urine test) depending on how fast you metabolize. However from what I have read, it will show up in the initial screening as a general amphetamine. After a positive initial screening, the sample will be further tested using a different methodology that will specify the type of amphetamine. Of course, if you have taken your generic version of adderall after the concerta for a couple of days. That should be what shows up.

I have child that was also on Concerta 36. There are two types of this medication. Concerta and Concerta CR which is controller release, I believe it was called. However, I found that concerta is not a very effective drug for dealing with ADHD. You might want to have the school give her the second dose at 1pm at school, this way it will avoid the medicine lapsing while she is at school.
