Avatar n tn Do you have nut or soy allergies? Combivent should not be used by people with those allergies.
Avatar f tn I have a niece that has a peanut allergy and a nephew that has a severe peanut allergy. He carries an epi pen with him but he is in his twenties and has had the peanut allergy since he was a child. My niece is only five years old. Her mom is not allergic to peanuts , but my niece is allergic to peanuts. You have to be careful of ice cream too as this could contain traces of peanuts. My niece's mom is extremely careful.
Avatar f tn For now, keep peanut products away from him and read labels and watch for warnings. There are labels warning of products that are not peanut products that say that they are made on the same equipment as where peanuts were processed. Be on the alert for this, depending on how severe his allergy is. I'm sure your son's pediatrician or allergist must have also tested for all other nut allergies. Be on the look out even if he tested negative for the other nut allergies.
1398693 tn?1343684738 25 MG/3ML IN NEBU 2X a day before Advair, Singular 10 MG PO TABS, Advair Diskus 500-50 MCG/Dose in AEPB 2X a day, Qvar 80 MCG/ACT IN AERS 2 puffs 2X a day for my severe asthma and I do get relief from the Combivent only to have the chest heaviness come back hours later. So if it were from tight muscles in my chest wouldn’t the Combivent not work because is affecting the lungs and not the muscles?

Avatar f tn I had breakfast this morning and then used my inhalers and my heart started doing some weird pvcs and pacs anyone else ever have this happen?
Avatar f tn t safe, but when I had her the pediatrician said it reduces the risk of allergies if you eat them while preg, and also when bub can eat solids its safe to try them with tiny bits of things like peanut butter before they are a year old. He said half the allergies in children are because certain foods were totally avoided and their bodies weren't used to it.
Avatar f tn ve been eating it my whole pregnancy and I have a friend who craved peanut butter her whole pregnancy and ate it by the jar off a spoon and her son (2 years old) has no allergies what so ever.
Avatar f tn Peanut butter and celery is one of the few things I can eat without gagging. I told my OB and he said it was a good source of protein. Double check with your doc, mine said no problem.
Avatar n tn I am using combivent(4x a day ) and serevent diskus 50mcg 2x for my moderate severe copd, I have just started Flovent 50mcg inhaler. Is this OK or should I cutdown on the combivent ?
Avatar f tn He is fine now but what I do not understand is that just last week, we were eating junk food such as snickers, reesees cups, and McDonalds and he was just fine. And just today he was at school and he ate regular peanuts and responded to them so terribly. I thought if someone has an allergy to peanuts, wouldn't it be bad for them to consume products that consists of peanuts? He didn't get sick last week from eating that food, but he got really sick today. I am totally confused.
Avatar m tn first I tried Abuterol and it took about a week and it was an incredible relief , so I went back to my doctor and started taking Advair and took about a month to start working and I'm still taking it and it works great. Excerise:get yourself a heart rate monitor and do the same activity your doing now and record your peak heart rate during your workout.Pick a time limit( I used 30mins) and recorded the starting rate and ending rate.
212161 tn?1599427282 I use advair twice a day and combivent when my asthma kicks in and i don't notice much racing when i use em
Avatar f tn I have SVT and mitro valve prolapse. When I eat peanut butter or drink milk my heart beats so fast I cannot function. I have burning in my ears and have passed out many times. Has anyone ever heard of this? I am 38. I took medication for over 15 years the last 6 years I have been able to control the episodes myself without medication. The peanut butter and milk thing puzzles me.
1205562 tn?1554747006 I wouldn't worry about it too much. I think there's more to it than that for sure! People our age don't have peanut allergies (not as many as kids now a days) and I'm sure our mothers ate peanut butter too. Who knows! I think many issues come from processed foods all together!!
Avatar n tn You might try asking your doctor to prescribe Combivent/Duoneb. This is an already prepared mixture of Albuterol and Ipratropium. It is available as an inhaler, as well as a nebulizer solution. Although you can ask your doctor to be sure, Pulmicort should probably be taken separately.
973741 tn?1342342773 That's all a really good point. GMO's . . . the idea of genetically modifying our food is a little scary. What about peanut allergies though? I swear growing up I did not hear about this like I do now. We didn't have a peanut free table when I grew up in the lunch room like there is now. I feel for people with these nut allergies. I had a mom come up to me and tell me that her child had a peanut allergy and it looked like we were eating pb&J sandwiches.
8296559 tn?1397871519 Yes super good for u and baby:) i eat a peanut butter sandwich like every night lol
Avatar m tn Hello and hope you are doing well. It could indicate an allergic reaction. More so if repeated episodes have occurred with consumption of peanut butter. Allergic reactions are mediated by IgE antibodies, which are released on exposure to a particular allergen. These in turn activate mast cells and lead to a local response or systemic anaphylaxis. Antihistamines may help to relieve the symptoms. It may help to maintain a food dairy and keep monitoring your symptoms.
Avatar f tn I've ate peanut butter and nuts with both my last and this pregnancy . And peanut butter fudge !
5431850 tn?1381682097 I lso have crunchy peanut butter on toast throughout pregnancy and when I breastfed my son and he has peanut butter sandwiches everyday now that he is older.
Avatar n tn zone so she prescribed combivent 4 times a day and ventalin Inhaler for sudden attacks as she suspects COPD. I will be doing lab tests and other test next week. Although I am a smoker I had been attributing recent episodes of breathlessness with allergies. Because if my cat had been in my room and I go to bed I will awake coughing with my nostrils closed up so I would get up take Nyquil and go back to sleep.
Avatar n tn To give some background - I have always had stomach problems. As a child I was frequently constipated and had regular stomach upsets. In college I would regularly feel very sick, and I had rashes near my elbows on my arms, and my eyes would constantly be swollen. I have also always had weight problems, and I am struggling to maintain a healthy weight right now. I am also constantly exhausted, but I have just learned to sleep 10 hours a night.
467126 tn?1283144858 s a superstition that your child could develop a peanut allergy if you do. I, however, ate peanut butter every single day and my kids are allergy-free!!!
231441 tn?1333892766 re not supposed to take meds during pregnancy, but I am having allergy issues these days (itching and sneezing and sneezing and itching) and having trouble sleeping waking up sneezing and nose like a tap EVERY night. Feels like asthma as well sometimes, but my peak flow is above normal since I got pregnant so maybe it's just in my head!?! I think this is airborne as well as food related, but haven't identified just what.
