clozapine thrombocytopenia

I take 150mg Clozapine regularly after a late dinner. Some time after, 1-2 hour I feel really dizzy and faint, especially if I get up from bed I have a strong feeling that I am going to faint. Does anyone else get this with Clozapine or other Bi-polar meds? I also noticed that my capacity to do exercise is effected. My muscles get sore quickly when I am trying to jog and it is hard to jog more then 5Km. Is there a Bi-polar medication that does not effect ability to exercise and do sport?

I just finished my second week of Clozapine. My WBC and ANC dropped too low, so now it's 2 lab draws/week. My mood isn't stabilized yet, and I don't like the side effects. I just would like feedback from others who have been on Clozapine long term. How are you doing? Is your mood stable most of the time? What kind of side effects do you experience? Any other helpful tips. Thanks.

These people who say euphoric mania is caused by clozapine for bipolar disorder. How do they know that? Clozapine is tightly controlled here. I don't see it in any of the drug literature. How many times does she see her doctor? How often? I know in Iran, I heard and read people choose ECT first before medication.

I don't know if I can help you, but can say I've been exactly in your shoes. I, too, rapid cycle. For about 8 mo. in 2010 I had a psychiatrist who did more harm than good, nearly ending in my suicide. I also have tried nearly everything on the market, making it difficult to find a successful regimen. I'm currently on Wellbutrin, Lamictal, Cymbalta and Clozapine. The clozapine is the most recent addition and has made a huge improvement. There are downfalls, though.

I am going to go on clozapine in the summer though and then try for a baby....the medication Abilify is not good during pregnancy and I'll be taking choline pills as well to help with the baby...

Has anyone taken verapaml or clozapine after no other drugs worked? I'm at my last resort after being on Depakote, Lamictal, Geodon, and Cymbalta. If anyone has had any experience with either of these drugs, I'd like to know what you thought of them.

i had a priapism epidsode back in august of this year by taking psych drug clozapine.. now i'm sexually impotent from that epidsode....will ED drugs (viagra, sildenafil) cure it? or make it worse?

your weakness and weight gain will begin to resolve once you stop receiving IVIG and steroids. These medications will only stop when you stop having episodes of thrombocytopenia. The thrombocytopenia will hopefully resolve once the tumor starts responding to the chemotherapy.

I still obsess with having HIV .My doc put me on Clozapine .I feel that im getting the wrong treatment .I feel sick I have all the symptoms of HIV and and every time I tell my doc how a feel he says it’s side affect of my meds. So does anyone know of a med that can do the same thing as clozapine Because clozapine cause other things like bed wetting and drolling then he does choke in his sleep from it and has thrown up cause of drool and more. He is on abilify already too. Im not sure there is any other med the is heavy duty he is on. I know the doc said there is no other heavy duty med out there like that. Im looking for somthing simialr or less risky or 2 less risky ones they can put him on together at the same time.

Hi, I'm new to this site I would appreciate any information about marginal zone lymphoma (MZL) secondary to HepC infection? My partner was diagnosed with MZL in Jan 08 by surgical biopsy of a lymph node in his neck. It's a rare indolent form & most likely results from HepC infection. He has a small patch in the bone but CT scans & a PET scan revealed no other nodes in between, so is sort of stage 1 & 4 at the same time. He is 56yrs old, geno 1b, +ive for over 30 yrs.

I am taking Zyprexa 20mg and Clozapine 300mg. At certain times in the day, every day, I get really agitated inside my head and don't know what to do to make it stop. My thoughts are talking me down, but not exactly telling me to commit suicide which is why I'm confused and not sure if these are suicidal thoughts caused by the medicine. I am 26 years old. Has anyone tried to supplement your Doggy with papaya leaf extract to help raise their platelets? My dog is diagnosed with immune mediated Thrombocytopenia which means his platelets is down to like zero and many bruises on him. He's been on Pred for a wk to help increase Plt but it's working slowly. I read a review at this website herbal papaya that she used on her dog n works. I would like to know if there's more info about this papaya leaf extract.
