Alternatively, you can take clindamycin for the bv and drink a boat load of cranberry juice for the UTI and water of course. It will take longer to clear up the UTI but it should work. It did for me in a pinch. It just took a couple of extra days. Of course if you are diabetic you can't.

I went to the obgyn last week they ran urine samples and std tests and everything was okay, I told them I’m spotting still for two weeks now three and cramping the test came back for BV so they prescribed me Metronidazole I felt way too anxious about taking it , Friday I went in for a ultrasound and pelvic ultrasound I believe and got the results today that it was fine. They now prescribed me clindamycin gel which I will pick up tomorrow due to pharmacy out of stock.

The doctor prescribed me a mega dose of the metronidazole and said I should feel better in 24 hours. I did NOT feel better in 24 hrs I waited a week because everything online kept telling me the symptoms could take a week to subside but when they didn’t I called my doctor and she prescribed me another mega dose. This one did absolutely nothing but make my symptoms worse my cervix hurt so bad.

It could still be bv. I have this as well and have taken metronidazole three times and it still hasn't cleared up. I now have a prescription for clindamycin, but have not taken it yet.

well she said i shouldnt be allergic to clindamycin, but i read the phamplet that came wth it and it talked about fatal reactions from diahrea.

The second time, they gave me metronidazole, which semi-worked for a little while, but we were seeing very little improvement. I was also taking Clindamycin after oral surgery and started have mucus, watery, diarrhea and saw alittle blood(pinkish) and this went on for 1 week. I went to see my Gyno on 4/16 and was prescribed Metronidazole 500mg and Fluconazole 150 mg tablets. After treatment, my symptoms did not stop or lessen. I then was prescribed Clindamycin 2% vaginal cream 40gm on 5/3. After treatment, my symptoms still exists. Occasionally I will have sharp pelvic pains, like horrible cramping. It does not last long and is not constant. I've only been sexually active with my husband, no one else. Since March, I have been bleeding after intercourse.
i finished taking metronidazole 500mg for 7 days and then took a pill for yeast infection for one day cant remenber the name but a week after the npleasant smell is still her ..

I have been taking amoxicillyn for the last week in case of infection and it has done nothing. I have not been smoking and have tried to be careful eating. I’m overseas in a place with no English speaking dentists and don’t know what to do. I feel so helpless and sick of being in pain. Is this normal for it to last this long? When can I expect to heal? Or could it be something else?
