2199900 tn?1338759215 So I love Tilapia (fish) and Liver. I've been eating the fish since I've been pregnant, I'm 16&1 and now I'm scared I've screwed up. I only craved the liver once and when I saw I couldn't eat that I stopped immediately!
Avatar n tn I eat on a weekly basis cod, salmon, bass, tilapia. I was told hogh mercury fish were bad so i just looked up fish i can eat during pregnancy and came out with a list. I love fish and i usually eat it more then meat, but i try to control myself i little during pregnancy.
Avatar f tn No its not dangerous. Eating tilapia is fine for you and baby. I'm a big seafood eater lol.
Avatar f tn You can so eat fish as long as the mercury levels are low. Tilapia (farm raised), salmon, and tuna (I believe canned is ok but if you eat fillet it has to be once a month). I don't see why you can't eat the skin!
Avatar f tn Also, farm raised salmon is far less rich in omega-3 fatty acids which aids in brain and neurological development in a fetus. That is kinda the point of eating salmon (to get omega-3 fatty acids)... so make sure it is WILD. If you look for those 2 things you will be fine. You really should only eat approximately 4-6 oz. of fish a week though. 4-6 oz. is only about the size of your palm... so it really isn't a whole lot.
Avatar n tn What's everyone eating for lunch? I need some ideas, made the boyfriend some tilapia but I don't eat fish so idk what I'm goina eat lol.
Avatar f tn I'm eating skittles trying to figure out what to make...
Avatar f tn I still have a little wierd feeling in my tummy but just hoping it goes away. And i love seafood too,but i dont love fish,i stopped eating tilapia about 4 years ago because i got really sick from it one time, but my mother inlaw insisted on cooking it for me last night even after i told her that,so i ate it and im pretty sure thats what it was, either that or maybe shes using food that is past expiration date because i know she did that with the carrots one time..
Avatar f tn I just found out I'm pregnant and I've been eating alot of tilapia, shrimp, and chicken and doing boot camp 3x a wk , can i still do this?
Avatar f tn What's for dinner tonight? I'm making baked tilapia, rice, and baked potato yummy!
Avatar f tn I ate at Applebees yesterday, ordered the blackened tilapia, by the time the entree was served, I was starved. The fish was undercooked, so I ate around the undercooked part. Is my baby at risk? I have no symptoms, no abdominal pain, no vomiting. I feel so healthful eating the fish, I should have sent it back..
Avatar n tn Avoid eating under cooked meats and eggs.
Avatar f tn I've been eating crab, shrimp, oysters, and tilapia. All cooked. I try not to eat it more than once or occassionally twice a week. Everything going well so far.
Avatar f tn We started eating mainly chicken and turkey meat and my husband doesn’t like fish except for tilapia. He doesn’t eat much bread to begin with but we switched the whole wheat. And we started eating more vegetables and with dinner and also eating quinoa. He usually drinks plain almond milk and we also switched to low fat yogurt. I was also wondering about supplements that he could take. I heard milk thistle and dandelion help with fatty liver but I don’t know if that is accurate?
Avatar f tn I honestly never heard of waiting on eating certain foods till your farther along. I ate sushi during my first trimester just the cooked though and ate mostly seafood because I craved it. But whatever you eat it in moderations. Don't over indulge even though its so tempting lol.
Avatar f tn I just eat the sushi that has crab on or in it
Avatar f tn I was told crustaceans are fine its the big fish they don't want us eating
10243154 tn?1408753393 Search on Google foods to eat while pregnant. Here's one of the links at the bottom in my next comment. This one tells you right portion sizes and everything. My favorite fish is crab, salmon, and shrimp, so i was extremely excited when I found out. And they are all very good for you and your baby.
Avatar f tn I was told that canned tuna, salmon, tilapia, and the other fish that isn't too contaminated with mercury is fine to eat as long as you aren't eating more than 12oz a day. I ate salmon and tuna throughout my entire pregnancy and my baby is healthy and perfectly fine.
