Have any of you ladies heard that soft serve ice cream is a no-no for pregnant women?

I love love love butter pecan ice cream. Its my fav but in my first few months i couldnt eat it.

Back in the day I worked in a Ice Cream shop and what we did was transfer the ice cream in the old container in the new one..so anything that was on the old one would now be in the new one! Not really sanitary when you think about it..but lots of ice cream places do it to not waste any food. So when you think of it regular ice cream would be bad too! So I think you're right..just moderation is the key and making sure things are super sanitary! Thanks!

Ok so I've been eating ice cream from ice cream van. Not all the time. About once a fortnight or something. But I've just read that you're not supposed to eat them because ts bad for you? Worried now...

I never heard of that who did u hear that from I ate ice cream all the time and still do almost every time the ice cream truck comes around and I'm 33 weeks pregnant it's too yummy to pass up

has eating soft serve ice cream and other sorts of food they suggest u not eat ever hurt anyones bby? its just iv been craving soft serve ice cream and milk shakes all through my pregnacy and have been having them cause sometimes its all i want. but now im 27 weeks and 1 day pregnant and just wanna make sure its not gonna affect the baby.

There is nothing wrong with eating fresh, clean ice, but do get a nice iron supplement and take it also.

We can eat hot dogs as long we cook them. && i was told soft served ice cream from dairy queen McDonald's ect...because of the bacteria in the machines. Some places don't clean them like there suppose to. Which i will get a milkshake from McDonald's every once in a while....there to delicious!!

As long as it doesn't have raw egg on it but most ice cream won't it's only sorbets and gelato that has raw egh

Of course I cut back on caffiene, but other then that I dont see the harm in eating things you like. I dont agree when people say that by eating ice cream or deli meat your not giving your baby the best possible chance. I dont see walking around with a cone in one hand and a sandwich in the other the same as walking around with a beer in one hand, cig. in mouth, and needle sticking out of the arm.

My little girl LOVES sweets. If I could, I'd eat 2 chocolate bars a day lol. I allow myself to indulge in sweets on the weekends... whether it's an ice cream shake, a mocha frappe, a chocolate bar, cookies or a donut lol. Omg though. .. chocolate milk sounds so good right now. I gotta buy some this weekend! sometimes I feel guilty about eating it though. I go on 4 40 minute walks a week to make up for it lol.

I ate from a tub of ice cream straight from the freezer. I started to eat the ice cream and spotted blood. I look in the mirror and saw my gums were bleeding so thought nothing of it.I continued to eat it and then to my horror saw blood mixed in to the ice cream but this was certainly not from my gums. Any chance of catching hiv as I had bloody gums and came in contact with blood on the ice cream.

You stated he drinks milk. Suggest giving him milkshakes (milk and ice cream blended) and yogurt smoothies (yogurt, ice cream, and fruit blended) in place of milk for extra calories and protein. Have you tried chewable children vitamins? They look like ‘gummie bears’ so child think it is candy, however, they are a multi-vitamin for children. Suggest giving it to him daily for vitamins and minerals to decrease his illnesses. The most important thing is to relax at meals.

I'm the same. Nothing sounds good. What I have to do is make something I know I like & once I start I can't stop. Like Mac n cheese. Or yogurt. Or snickers ice cream bar. Or peanut butter & cheese.

I have had 2 maple bars, a bag of skittles, half a thing of pringles, and ice cream. I feel like complete crap, and I am afraid to try and eat anything else because I don't want to throw up. What can I do?
