I am taking clarithromycin for sinus infection but I am taking Tylenol 3 for some different pain.Is it OK to take to them the same time?
at 3 weeks i had a (clear) chest xray. after approx. 4 weeks i developed a sinus infection and my sinuses started bleeding, so i saw a doctor and was given 1 week of amoxyclav which cleared the sinus infection and slightly improved the cough, the sputum also turned white. the cough did not improve after this point though, i still was coughing up sputum regularly and i found it very hard to suppress my coughing fits if i ever tried to.

Yesterday 3/20/09 I was prescribed clarithromycin er 500 for 7 days for a sinus infection. After reading a lot on the internet it appears that EVERY STD can be obtained through oral sex which I was not aware. If I were your patient, what advice would you recommend? Will the anti biotic prescribed for my sinuses deal with any bacterial std I may have caught or could it suppress the symptoms? Should I be really concerned about spreading something to my girlfriend?
Hi, I was diagnosed with a sinus infection a few weeks ago and prescribed a z-pack, which I took with no issues. I am still feeling the symptoms in my sinuses so I went to the Dr last week and was prescribed Amoxicillin. About 20 mins after taking it I had this strange sensation on my lip...like a tingling/itching feeling and became itchy all over. I called the Dr and she prescribed Clarithromycin. I didn't want to take it right away, just in case I had a similar reaction.
when I engaged in receiving oral sex from a female in Tampa,Fla. 3 days after the event I had a sinus infection and was prescribed 500mg er Clarithromycin for 7 days. While on that antibiotic I was bit by a a fire ant and the bite became infected so 100mg twice a day for 7 days. I was on antibiotic treatment for 17days straight.(doesn't it usually take longer than that for a lesion to occur for transmission?

1) Currently my doctor has switched me over to doxycycline, 300 mg/day for 10 days because my sinus infection didn't respond to the clarithromycin as well as hoped. Would this dosage prevent/cure a syphilis infection, if it were present?
I'll make this as brief as I can. Several weeks ago I started a zpack for a sinus infection. No problems. I was still feeling sinus pain so went back to Dr, got amoxicillin. I started getting a weird tingly feeling on my lip and getting itchy. I stopped taking it. Dr put me on clarithromycin...but I waited a while before I started taking it. The first time I took it I was ok.

So, had brief encounter with sex worker. I am a male and she a female, just for clarity and accuracy of response though I'm confident that this is irrelevant. In any case, I received oral sex lasting only a couple minutes then shortly after completed with handjob. I would really worry about my daughters asthma and I was chronically ill from worry. Always getting lung infections/bronchitus. Do you think you are really stressed about something. Are you worried for your child also? I would have to go see the doctor and get antibiotics because I wouldn't get better. My daughter outgrew the asthma and I got rid of the chronic bronchitis.

Looks like you have developed a sinus infection which has progressed to a throat infection as well. Sinus infections cause headaches. There are tubes called 'Eustachian tubes' which connect the middle ear to the throat, this balances the air pressure in the ears. This tube can get blocked due to infections of the throat, which can give lead to a feeling of fullness in the ears and the resultant sounds. This can also result in infection of the ears.
My question is, Is there any medication that can either prevent me from getting warts or do i have to keep getting them burned if they were to keep coming back? I currently have a sinus infection and im taking clarithromycin 500 mg twice a day, My last pill is tomorrow night... just wondering if this will help with clearing them up? So in my anxious state, I thought it best to be proactive and see if I could prevent any full infection from developing. I took 1500mg of Clarithromycin ER, and 1875mg of Amoxicillin that night. The following morning took another 1gm of the Niacin ER & 1375mg of Amoxicillin.
Because my bronchitis had gone away only to develop into a sinus infection, I was prescribed Doxy 100mg / 2x / day for five days, which I took religiously according to instructions.
Now, 2 weeks after appearing, the bump is still there. Foolishly I keep squeezing it; on the days when I don't it shrinks with a (closed, not ulcerous head). I'm going to leave it alone from now on, but here is my question finally:
Does this sound like a chancre?
But here is my question. I ended up with a respiratory infection and the Doc gave me Clarithromycin, I have to take 2X 500mg a day for ten days. I started the medication the day of the sexual encounter.
Will Clarithromycin help clear up any of the STD's that I might have caught during the act?
There is not too much info on Clarithromycin and STD's out there. I know one thing it is sure working on my respiratory infection big time.

Two days ago, I had unprotected sex with my wife, and was still on the antibiotic when I had my encounter with my wife. I was on it for a sinus infection.
I was also on antibiotics for the same thing (sinus) either during or immediately after my other encounter I have had since November, and that was augmentin.
At of the end of last week, I started getting lower back pain and some lower abdominal discomfort. I have also had some testicular discomfort.
About a month ago I was prescribed a course of Clarithromycin for a skin infection. Since taking the drug I've suffered huge surges of adrenaline, which kicks in like a lighting shot at the point of sleep. It kept me away many nights and I was beside myself with worry. It's now more than three weeks since I stopped the medication (I only completed 2.5 days out of 7) and I find that the adrenaline surges have subsided somewhat.
d just finished a week course of clarithromycin for a chest infection. The doctor said that this drug could have cleared up a chlamydia infection if I'd had one.
