I am taking clarithromycin for sinus infection but I am taking Tylenol 3 for some different pain.Is it OK to take to them the same time?
at 3 weeks i had a (clear) chest xray. after approx. 4 weeks i developed a sinus infection and my sinuses started bleeding, so i saw a doctor and was given 1 week of amoxyclav which cleared the sinus infection and slightly improved the cough, the sputum also turned white. the cough did not improve after this point though, i still was coughing up sputum regularly and i found it very hard to suppress my coughing fits if i ever tried to.

My question is, Is there any medication that can either prevent me from getting warts or do i have to keep getting them burned if they were to keep coming back? I currently have a sinus infection and im taking clarithromycin 500 mg twice a day, My last pill is tomorrow night... just wondering if this will help with clearing them up? If someone could get back to me it would really be appreciate i could use the advice/help. thank you in advance..
The ENT gave me clarithromycin 500mg (10 day) and methylprednisolone 4mg (6day) which has helped I believe get rid of the infection. During the treatment I also used a neti pot once in the morning for three days after reading how it helps and also because I was desperate for relief. Now after over a month and finishing all my medications about a week ago, two symptoms still seem to remain.
Since our last post, not only was on clarithromycin for 10 days, I was on doxycycline 100mg for 7 days for infected fire ant bite. While on Doxycycline I started to feel urgency to urinate and some dribbling after urination. (I was diagnosed last year for prostititis after being tested for bacterial std's.) I called my urologist and he suggested I go on cipro 500 twice a day for ten days. The symptoms of urinating and dribbling have not subsided.
0 g is recommended, although most likely 1.5 g would work. If you were only exposed -- i.e. for prevention before the infection takes hold -- 1.5 g is fine.
Of course whether you have or were exposed to syphilis depends entirely on information you don't provide. If you are in North America or Europe and had a heterosexual exposure you are concerned about, the odds are extremely low you were exposed to syphilis. If you're a gay man anywhere, it could be a very high risk.
Hi, I was diagnosed with a sinus infection a few weeks ago and prescribed a z-pack, which I took with no issues. I am still feeling the symptoms in my sinuses so I went to the Dr last week and was prescribed Amoxicillin. About 20 mins after taking it I had this strange sensation on my lip...like a tingling/itching feeling and became itchy all over. I called the Dr and she prescribed Clarithromycin. I didn't want to take it right away, just in case I had a similar reaction.

2 more (final) questions:
1) Currently my doctor has switched me over to doxycycline, 300 mg/day for 10 days because my sinus infection didn't respond to the clarithromycin as well as hoped. Would this dosage prevent/cure a syphilis infection, if it were present?
I'll make this as brief as I can. Several weeks ago I started a zpack for a sinus infection. No problems. I was still feeling sinus pain so went back to Dr, got amoxicillin. I started getting a weird tingly feeling on my lip and getting itchy. I stopped taking it. Dr put me on clarithromycin...but I waited a while before I started taking it. The first time I took it I was ok.
Well my usage of Motrin as dropped down to 2 Motrin per day after taking the Clarithromycin for 3 days, on the 4th day there was no more need for Motrin.

Looks like you have developed a sinus infection which has progressed to a throat infection as well. Sinus infections cause headaches. There are tubes called 'Eustachian tubes' which connect the middle ear to the throat, this balances the air pressure in the ears. This tube can get blocked due to infections of the throat, which can give lead to a feeling of fullness in the ears and the resultant sounds. This can also result in infection of the ears.

My mom was recently diagnosed with Hep C associated cirrhosis. She has had some complications, including esophageal varices and ascites. She remains fairly well compensated and does not exhibit symptoms such as fatigue or confusion.
During an endoscopy her doctor also noticed an ulcer and tested her for H pylori (which was positive). He's prescribed Prevpac to kill the bacteria and heal the ulcer.
Having diarrhea after antibiotics is not rare, but also not normal. I recommend you to have stool test for C-diff and for occult blood.
Having problems with breathing is probably from the acid coming up into your throat and then down into lungs. You should fix this promptly, it may damage your lungs (aspiration pneumonia, with lung scars).
There's another possibility - alergy to one of antibiotics. Would you say you have any lips or face swelling or skin itching?
Two days ago, I had unprotected sex with my wife, and was still on the antibiotic when I had my encounter with my wife. I was on it for a sinus infection.
I was also on antibiotics for the same thing (sinus) either during or immediately after my other encounter I have had since November, and that was augmentin.
At of the end of last week, I started getting lower back pain and some lower abdominal discomfort. I have also had some testicular discomfort.
