Her OB and PCP told her that taking her clarinex was OK. She is miserable without it and right now has a wicked cold. I have been reading now that clarinex is OK to take and other sites saying it is not OK. She is 21 weeks right now. Why would they say it is OK if it isn't? Thanks for any info.
Claritin and Clarinex (they work very differently) might help. Claritin makes me light headed for 30 minutes, raises blood pressure a little but wears off after a few hours. Clarinex works better for me, lasts 14 hours on me. Both are pretty weak for antihistamines.
Other than this there is a couple more that use the same med as Claritin, so same effect pretty much. The other antihistamines usually cause drowsyness.
Don't know of too many nasal sprays with out steroids.
First is the cough from a problem in side or something you are breathing in? A good test I use is a HEPA filted mask. (the kind you can get in the hardware store with canisters). Wearing that for 5 minutes should clear up the mucus quite a bit if it is something you are breathing in. Easy test and takes only 5 minutes. Try a deep breath with the mask on after 5 minutes and see if you still feel like coughing.
I danced and did squats and very light jumping jacks for an hour which I think contributed to my waters breaking (had sex as well) but danced around 9 30 and my waters broke at 12 30
You're doin it! Hour by hour. As I mentioned on my thread, for me that's how I got through the first 5 days. Hour by Hour. And here I am 12 days clean after 9 years. How much I've lost. Come back to reality - a clean, happy life - with me. I wrote out a chart for me on day one. It showed a goal of 120 hours (5 days). When I started that seemed like an eternity and many times I never thought I could make it to the 120 mark. But hour by hour the goal time got less and less.
So two days ago I took castor oil, it cleaned me out and have me mild contractions for about an hour but then they just stopped. So yesterday I took the castor oil again but on top of that me and my mom had a very lovely dance session together for about an hour. I had slight cramps but nothing major so I laid down and went to sleep. I woke up at about 11pm in so much pain i was crying to my mom. So I waited 30 minutes to see if they would die down.
On friday morning at around 9:20am my water broke so I drove my self to l&d i was 3cm dilated they started the pitocin at 10:30am at around 1pm I was 5cm so I told the nirse I wanted the epidural cus I wanted no pain, well she said it was too early so she left me like that for like an hour the contractions got so strong in that little time so the nurse called the anastiologist so at like 3pm he put the epidural and the nurse checked me right after, all she said was "oh no wonder u were
my mom has been experiencing this weird outbreak of hives all over her body, and when she has an outbreak it seems to cause severe joint pain,but not in the same joints it kinda travels around.she has been to an allergist but they put her on predisone and clarinex and zantec but as soon as the pred. is done the rash seems to rehash and the clarinex and othe meds seem not to help at all.
In the meantime, i have switched allergy medication from Clarinex to Xyzal, which may also be helping a little. I now take the allergy medication before bed whereas before, I had been taking Clarinex in the mornings.
I notice that the problem of too much mucus seems less prevalent in the mornings upon waking up. It worsens in the afternoon and evening, especially after meals.

But like it was already said, everyone is different, so just take it hour by hour then day by day. The good news it that this crappy feeling will go away. We put our bodies through a rough time and it will take a little time for it to repair. Just be patient and treat your body good as it sounds like you are doing. Plenty of fluids to wash away the toxins. Let us know how you are doing. You are not alone!
I got home at six and sat on my butt the whole time tell nine I staryed haveing contractions every ten mins for an hour then at ten 30 it was every seven mins which is when my doc said to head to the hospital cuz I live an hour away. So we get there around 12 cuz I had to pack my bag (which I still hadent done) and take my son to my moms and then head ip there.
I think it is okay to take 12 hour Allegra in the morning and 12 hour Zyrtec at night, especially if they are helping your symptoms. As long as you are not taking them together at the same time, you should be okay. However if you are concerned, you can call a local pharmacist and ask them. Hope this helps.

Had a D&E 12 days ago. My HCG is 8. I am experiencing thick brown drainage with a nagging pressure on my lower right side. The drainage is like a consistent drip nothing filling a pad within an hour but enough that I have to wear a regular pad and not a mini. Doctors keep saying it will go away. Drainage and pressure seem to increase with activity. It is not pain though and there hasn't been red bleeding. What could be wrong?
