clarinex

Avatar n tn i tried quite a few but they make my vision blurred and pain in the back of my head......the doc has prescribed me singulair but ive read about the sideeffects,i am already on antidepressants.......
Avatar f tn Her OB and PCP told her that taking her clarinex was OK. She is miserable without it and right now has a wicked cold. I have been reading now that clarinex is OK to take and other sites saying it is not OK. She is 21 weeks right now. Why would they say it is OK if it isn't? Thanks for any info.
519035 tn?1348275773 ) I have some allergy medicine, more in the chest now then in the head;)
Avatar n tn First is the cough from a problem in side or something you are breathing in? A good test I use is a HEPA filted mask. (the kind you can get in the hardware store with canisters). Wearing that for 5 minutes should clear up the mucus quite a bit if it is something you are breathing in. Easy test and takes only 5 minutes. Try a deep breath with the mask on after 5 minutes and see if you still feel like coughing.
Avatar m tn If any mucus drips in your air way or is produced in your air way it can trigger a breathing problem. I think the nasalcrom over the counter spray should help. The clarinex might do it alone. Or the nasal spray. Both are effective. I prefer to take a once a day antihistamine rather than spray nasal sprays all day. I used to use them together. Benedryl is great for allergies but doesn't always stop the mast cell from releasing mucus. Try the Clarinex. It worked for me.
Avatar m tn For the itchy bumps, take antihistaminics like Benadryl(causes drowsiness) and Claritin and apply some calamine lotion on the rashes as it helps in soothing the skin. You can also apply mild steroid cream on the rash.If the symptoms persists then oral steroids may be needed which are available on prescription. Also keep the area well moisturized with good moisturiers. If the itching persists then pls get it evaluated from a dermatologist. I hope that helps.
Avatar n tn I use use Clarinex which helps a little. Tried Claritin and it did not do anything. Most nasal sprays help, a non steroid nasal spray such as NasalCrom might help too and is gentle with virtually no side effects. I found that allergy shots was the only thing that stopped it for me. I don't use nasal sprays anymore. My rynitis was really bad and clogging my air ways. Now it seems to be almost gone. I get a bit sticky but never more than clearing my throat kind of annoyance.
Avatar m tn What really helped me was Clarinex prescription from my doctor. It doesn't work right away. They do have claritin OTC but it is less strong. It takes a while but then it works after a while and then I hardly had any allergies. Another thing you can try along with this is daily Nasal crom spray. It doesn't harm the nose like other nasal sprays.
1136103 tn?1260667675 I take singulair, clarinex-d and lipo-flavonoid (for ringing in the ear) also the jelly or goo I am seeing happens almost everyday or every other day, every week is different.
Avatar n tn Hello there, since 1995 (I am 31 now) I have had the inner corner of my both eyes very itchy. It usually starts with a casual touch or rub and then you just can not seem to stand the itchiness. So then I have to use my first finger's tip to press against the small lump of flash in the inner merging corner of the eye. (Hope that's descriptive enough to understand). When I went to see the doctor around that time, I was told that I have an eye allergy and that "just" happens.
Avatar f tn I went to my doctor when experiencing thick post nasal drip, dizziness, puffy eye and she diagnosed me with a sinus infection and put me on augmenten for 10 days. The mucus is now clear but the thick clear sticky post nasal drip is still chronic. I'm constantly snorting and spitting up mucus. I went to the ENT and he prescribed Nasonex and Mucinex. But it did not help. He then did a scope and found an abudnance of thick sticky mucus and he suctioned some of it out.
Avatar n tn Wheezing is a non-specific sign that can occur with asthma, bronchitis, airway collapse such as with bronchomalacia, bronchiectasis, a foreign body, excessive mucus that is difficult to clear or a growth in one’s bronchial tubes. And there are other causes.
20922415 tn?1661860103 If pregnancy occurs, progesterone is produced in the placenta, and levels remain elevated throughout the pregnancy. The combination of high estrogen and progesterone levels suppresses further ovulation during pregnancy. Progesterone also encourages the growth of milk-producing glands in the breast during pregnancy. High progesterone levels are believed to be partly responsible for symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS), such as breast tenderness, feeling bloated, and mood swings.
Avatar m tn I am currently taking Clarinex and prescription nose spray wit a steroid in it. Nothing helps my allergies. it is so bad i cannot even irrigate my nostrils with a neti pot- the water doesn't drip through. I a supposed to start allergy shots on tuesday of next week. Does anybody have any insight to this? Will this work for me? I was considering getting a surgery to clear my nasal airway. i know it won't cure my allergies but will help my quality of life.
Avatar f tn It may well be that high humidity may be associated with increased concentrations of a variety of allergens, including but not limited to mold, but not directly caused by the elevated humidity.
345124 tn?1234483278 The ear situation seems to kick in with spring allergy season, and persists through the summer and part of the fall. My sister in law has similar symptoms. She takes Zyrtec, and a prescription nasal spray when she feels her ears filling. As for me I did not find much in the way of over the counter drugs to help the allergy symptoms. However, I take Meclizine ( motion sickness tablets) to help relieve the dizziness when it occurs.
Avatar m tn Leading a normal life is really difficult. It’s worst in the morning (4-10AM) and at night (8-11PM). In between my breathing is still fairly labored, but not as bad. I’m going back to the pulmonologist on 3/31 to see if I’ve made any progress. For now I’m still miserable. Help?
Avatar m tn He understood my concerns but felt it was an alergic reaction of some sort and that the underarm and groin rashes were the same thing even though they looked different in shape. Gave me some 5mg Clarinex to take once a day combined with Betamethasone Valerate Cream twice a day. After a couple days the rash greatly reduced and now at 7 days is almost completely gone. Had a rapid HIV test at day 26 which was negative. Have given blood for a PCR test whose results I will get late this week.

Avatar n tn There can be an underlying microscopic vascular problems in the brain causing some form of starvation in blood supply (like small strokes) that may be accelerating the atrophy. Addressing this problem would include controlling all the other systemic factors that can result to this, such as controlling blood pressure, controlling metabolic diseases such as diabetes, and improving circulation with rehabilitation.
Avatar f tn They should have someone in the office who can tell you which medications you need to stop. If not, ask them to give you the phone number of another audiologist who performs VNGs. They should be clear about those things with the patient! After all, they want to get correct test results, and without confusion or undue discomfort to the patient.
