I don't know if I have Trich or not but I was wondering if taking Ciprofloxacin 500mg 2x daily would cure it?
first i wake up and i feel dizzy like a mild dull headache at the back of my eyes and a stiff neck at the back of my neck and head , making me feel quite dizzy and unbalanced , also if noticed that im getting like leg cramps and sometimes joint pain in my knees , also sometimes when im still or lying down i notice i get muscle spams and jerking , also my jaw can at times ( but i have braces and could have something to do with that) also my tongue can feel quite heavy , and my chest feels tight
Today I went to the doctor (about 10 days after exposure) with extreme pain while peeing, the constant urge to pee and a sticky discharge; all three appeared over night on Thurs [48 hrs ago] and has never stopped. He even said on the phone to a Registrar that it was 'heavy discharge'. He took a swab and prescribed URISPAS 200mg (3 daily for one week) for the pain and CIPROFLOXACIN 250mg (500mg twice daily for two weeks).
I am experiencing swollen scrotum/testicles in which they seem to swell up and retract. I also have pain that comes and goes in the urethra close to the body (not the head). No pain during urination and no discharge. I got tested for chlamydia, gonorrhea and HIV RNA at day 5 and day 13 after possible exposure and both came back negative. My symptoms started happening 5 days after my last sexual encounter. It has been 3 weeks with this pain now.
Ciprofloxacin has been linked to rare but occasionally severe and even fatal cases of acute liver injury.....
i m not a doctor but this is not assuring, our doctor always used agumentin, check with your doctor if that is suitable for your problem.

Fortunately, I did not have any adverse reactions, but the staff told me other people reacted differently and really had problems with the BCG treatments.
Sorry for your troubles it us very worrysome i know. Does heany other symptoms like joint pain in his wrist or hands or his legs or feet or even all over , before or after the fever. Extreme fatigue/ tired more than he should be. A healthy person may not notice a low grade fever of 99, a sick person my be knocked on there feet from it. I have systemic lupus so this would bother me my normal ok temp is 97.4 what about your husband?
Recently I’ve been given antibiotics for prostatsis and after I began to have muscle and joint pain that tends to be in random areas. I also have oral thrush but I think that it’s due to me incorrectly using the inhaler I was prescribed. Prior to the sexual encounter I had severe chest congestion with no cough as well as neuropathy problems. I also had no muscle or joint pain just numbness in my right leg and arm occasionally. I have no swelling and no other pains.
t understand which two drugs you are talking about taking? I see you are going to take ciprofloxacin and which of the others on this list? the ones you listed are not in the same antibiotic class as cipro. If you take any more drugs take some probiotics with it (10 billion colonies) that have a variety of bacteria in them. Let me know if you have any more questions.
Some side effects such as joint pain and tendonitis are still with me. The fact that you had that reaction is evidence enough that you're allergic. Talk to your doctor about a different abx. I'm not one to contradict what your doctor is telling you or giving you, but I quinolones are the one thing I will speak out about.
I read online that the combination of Ciprofloxacin and Azithromycin can be dangerous. Is this still the case, if the last Ciprodose was one week before the 2g Azithromycin dose?

Hi, I’m really at a loss and struggling with my CPPS symptoms, i have pain during sex so I’ve stopped, always feeling tired and irritable, muscle aches and stiff Neck, pain at tip of penis and lower back.
I’ve been on antibiotics for 3 months and during that time things seemed better, it’s now been three months off them and my life is a misery again, I dunno if I should start them again or try another type, I was on Tamsulosin, Doxycycline and Ciproflaxcin.
Off it for a week now and still really tired, various nerve pain, joint pain, muscle fatigue...seems to cycle, weak and dizzy, some blurred vision but it's all better than it had been just seems it should be gone since the meds are out of my system. I'm also dehydrated for no reason [drinking lots of water and electrolytes, no caffeine, no fever, no vomiting,etc.]. Unable to function normally, doctor doesn't seem to care or have any explanation.
The multi-purpose antibiotic ciprofloxacin, used to combat germs behind food poisoning and bone and joint infections, is also affected.
So is the cancer drug etoposide and a drug given to prevent the rejection of transplanted organs.
Seems that you shouldn't drink these juices within 4 hours of taking the medicine.
The swelling went and the pain in the testicle reduced but then my left one started to hurt, is that conman for the infection to swap sides. I also have pain in my lower back and lower abdomen and very painful headaches. The doctor didn't seem to bothered about it or even check it over. They have prescribed me another 10 day course of ciprofloxacin.
