I was 5 weeks at that point. I took a full 7 day treatment cycle 500 mg. Now I am doing my research and I am scared about what I'm reading. Is it going to hurt my baby??
Yes Cipro can definately cause rythm issues. I cant remember where I read this but my doctor was going to give it to me until I showed him the info (that he did not have himself). I have had a cold for over a week now. I took one cipro 500 pill and then decided I needed to see my doctor. I took that at 5PM. My doctor prescribed prednisone and azithromycin. I have checked and seen that there are interactions in taking these drugs together. How long until the cipro 500 is out of my system so I can begin the other antibiotics and prednizone? Thank you.

I have read about overgrowth and did take cipro 500 mg daily for 5 days and came out of being so weak I could hardly walk episode!..the dr said just try and it helped..thank you! I know taking antibiotics when no fever or culture sounds questionable but it did help a few months ago.....I am in pain a lot but when I am really weak..I wonder if something else is going on..
ive had this infection for 3 years now. it is recurrent. i have been on, cipro 500 for 10 days, cipro 500 for 1 month, Bactirum DS for 10 days, clindamycin solu. 5% alcorten gel (anti fungal, antibactieral) i also wash my hair with chlorhexidine gluconnate (hibaclens). i have seen a total of 4 doctors. and have an appointment for another which ill make 5 doctors total. all i need is something to get my by with the pain. i plan on the dermatologist taking care of the actual infection.
I was given cipro 500 mg twice a day for a sinus infection. After completing the prescription, I still had a sinus infection and ended up in the ER with an upper respiratory tract infection and gastritis. I now have an equilibrium problem to go along with the upper respiratory infection and the gastritis. I don't know what to do st this point. Too afraid to take anything. I have been taking 500 mg cipro twice a day assuming it was urethritis or uti. While i am a bit better i am still not 100% normal after 3 days on cipro. Do i need to look at something like gono or chlamydia? I was sure it was not an std because even my oral was protected. No discharge yet. Pls help.
Also my wife who was examined by her ob/gyne doctor was diagnosed for cervicitis and was prescribed ciprobay xr 500 mg for 3 days plus clindamycin.Now my questions would be;
1. What probably caused my prostatitis? 2. Was it because of my contact with another partner? 3. Would the prescribed co-trimoxazole for a month be enough to cure me? and lastly 3. I'm being treated with 500 mg of Cipro 2 x daily for a UTI (Klebsiella o. in small amt). It's time for my CEA after Stage IIIB C/C in 2009 and a small (1.5 cm) liver met removed by HR in April 2012 making me Stage IVa. CEA has run between 2.4 and 3.1 (Labcorp) and even with the liver met, never went above 6.4. PET/CT w/o and CEA have shown me to be NED since HR with 80% of my liver removed due to location and clear margins. No chemo follow up.
I've been taking Metformin 2000mg XR for 3 months and am just now getting side effects like metallic taste and gastro side effects. Same pharmacy, same Sando manufacturer. Is it normal to have side effects after a few months?

My care is currently through my Family Doctor. My last two HA1C tests were 7.2 and 7.4, and creatinine was 1.1. I am taking Metformin XR, 1 gm twice a day, total of 2 grams (four 500 mg tablets). I take 1 gram in the morning and 1 at night. My blood sugars tend to run high in the morning and decrease during the day. I have no specific instructions whether to take at meals, with water, etc. Would it likely make any difference to take 1.5 grams at night and 0.
When I wa diagnosed as a Type II diabetic 9 years ago I was prescribed Glucophage XR 500 mg once daily. It along with diet and exercise worked well for me in getting my glucose levels down to an acceptable level. The drug is formulated to provide effective glucose reduction over a 24 hours time period. Routine bowel movements or urination should not reduce the drugs effectiveness.
Prescribed 500 mg. Cipro twice daily for 10 days with a follow up visit with a Urologist and GYN. Urologist visit negative for any other issues other than UTI - remain on medication and return in 6 wks if pain continues. GYN visit negative for any issues. Pain subsided 5th day on Cipro, but returned on 8th day. Currently on the 9th day of medication. New symptom - throwing up on the 7th, 8th and 9th day.
I saw a description on a web page using the description of looking like a partially scrambled egg and that is what it really looked like, not really streaked but kind of mixed. I am diabetic with 136/166 respectively fasting and PP. I am on medication like Amryl M2 forte, Januvia 50 pre breakfast and Cetrapin XR 500 post dinner. Storevas 10 and cardace 2.5 post dinner. I took birth-control pills so that I can have a normal period but then my Doctor prescribed me to take Glucophage 500 mg twice a day after food but it has side effects like dizziness, nausea, low blood pressure and diarrehea... I went to pharmacies and asked about the medicine ( Glocophage), they say its good but it is not making me feel good. The last pharmacy I went to suggested that I should take Glucophage XR. I still didnt take it, Im still using Glucophage.
I am getting a clear liquid from my penis, but you can hardly considered it as a discharge, since is just a bit for my tip of the penis to look shiny. He gave me Cipro 500 Mg. every 12 Hours for 15 days. I took them, but the pain in my groin continues and the discharge as well. He told me and I have read that this could all be symptoms of prostatitis, but I am a bit confuse because of the mini discharge.
