Resently Doctor decided to take Urine test and found bladder infection and gave me CIPRO as an antibiotic. I feel rush under my ribs and pain in the back (right side). Do you think that this infection can cause that? I am still taking this CIPRO things and hope that this'll help. Do you know if lymph nodes can case pain or infection could go up from bladder and affect other areas? Please help!
About a month later I started to have significant irritation with my prostate, increased frequency, and signs of bladder infection. Dr prescribed cipro 500 mg 2X daily for 10 days, based on previous prostaititis. Symptoms eased a little, but still had frequency issues, slight discomfort in pubic area, irritated meatus. Through this whole period, I have had ZERO discharge (no discharge for my wife either). My wife has had some bladder discomfort, and increased urinary frequency.
I am 43yrs old female and have for past six weeks now urinary tract infection symptoms and been to several doctors and emergency room. I have spent a thousand dollars on treatment with no relief due to no insurance until January. I have had scan done on my kidneys and no stones. I have had blood work and urine cultures with no infection. I have been tested for STD's and none. They had me on ciproflaxin for 10 days at 500mg twice a day and doxycycline for 10 days at 100mg twice a day.
In 2017 had some frequency and pressure for a few weeks and then episode of gross hematuria. Put on Cipro. Symptoms cleared right up. Culture was not done. Saw urologist. Cysto and CT w/o contrast done. Negative. Over the 2.5 years had irritative symptoms on and off with microscopic blood. Cultures negative. Urologist said IC. 5 months ago had a couple days of slight burning then episode of gross hematuria. Put on Cipro but culture came back negative.

Ive had a couple UTIs in the past and taken cipro for them and usually I would start to feel better about three days into taking them. this time though the cipro hasn't made any change. ive been off it about five days now and the pain is gone for the most part but ive been having some other new symptoms. I feel as though I cant empty my bladder and im having to strain to urinate.
I was checked just last week and was clear for bladder infection. so I m thinking yeast infection,. Been on cipro. But yeast medicine not helping and it feels to swollen to use applicator for yeast treatment. Extremely painful. I can't even get the applicator in. I am through with breast cancer treatment. Finished in October 2006. Finished radiation January 2007. Been on tamoxefin. I am a two year survivor of Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Stage IIIA. someone please help me out here.

Recently I went to my local ER with bad pains in my lower back and around my ribs. I told them my family has extensive histories of bladder/kidney issues (my aunt died as a child due to kidney failure, for example). After they did a simple urinalysis, I was given some antibiotics and sent on my way.
Now, 3 days later, I find my symptoms are not even beginning to improve.
about 3 weeks ago had a slight irritation at the tip of my penis urethra a few days later it seemed to cause bladder problem pressure and irritable got blood test and urine test and everything came back normal bladder seemed to get better but still irritated and swollen urethra so went back to docks got some cream but when i got home my same bladder problem came back constant feeling to have to urinate go at least every hour worse at night and pressure and discomfort plus after i go it seems to
I recently took Cipro for an urinary tract infection, I didn't have any problem with the drug. It cleared it up in no time. Everyone is different though.
Coli and entercoccus. I was put on Macrobid for 5 days didn’t help at all, was then switched to Cipro for 5 days. After 24hrs on Cipro all my symptoms went away. One week later my symptoms of a UTI retuned. Back to the doctors I went culture this time showed bacteria count less then 10,000. My doctor felt the infection was gone but I could be having bladder spasms. He give me spasm medication and referred me to a urologist. Fast forward another week still having UTI symptoms.
Your doctor is giving you a strong but short course of tx for a bladder infection. I'm prone to them due to spinal cord damage that makes it hard to empty my bladder completely, so I have LOTS of experience. The standard course with cipro is 250mg, twice daily, for a full 10 days. Even more standard is tx with sulfa drugs, but I developed an allergy to them so I haven't had them for ages.
I started running the washroom more frequently and feeling 'urges' to go about 6 weeks ago. I've never experienced this and didn't feel sick so I waited for almost two weeks before seeing a doctor. He first prescribed septra for 5 days and it didn't do anything. Then Cipro for 7 days and I started feeling a little better so he gave me 5 more days of it. I thought I was doing much better but the day after the presecription ended, I started having the same symptoms.
he checked me out( finger in anus ) and said i have chronic prostatitis! he recomended cipro for six weeks along with some nsaids. Doc..i saw two other urologists prior to seeing him. I did numerous urine tests since initial microhematuria in october...and they all come back negative( i did 10 days of cipro) i did ultrasounds and bloods ( psa was fine )
I remember asking the 2 prior urologists if prostattitis was a possibility. They said NO. I forgot why they said no..
Usually a course of clindamycin or Amoxillicin is prescribed for an oral infection but Cipro should work fine.
t do a test and prescribed me cipro for a bladder infection. I took it for 5 days, 10 pills, and am only 5 weeks. I had some cramping but no bleeding at all. The ER couldn't see anything because I was around 4.5 weeks so I'm seeing my OB tomorrow but would love to read anyone else's experiences with Cipro during pregnancy.

I thought I had a bladder infection, as I had the burning related symptoms. I took Macrobid 7 days BID and the symptoms did not go away. When I've had a bladder infection in past years, the symptoms would go away within a couple days, so this was really different because I took the whole RX and symptoms remained. I then went to my GP and had a urine culture done and nothing grew; however, my doctor said to take Cipro 500 mg BID for 7 days. The burning stopped.
I've been on antibiotics almost staright for 3 and1/2 years. As soon as I'm off antibiotics for 2 weeks a bladder infection comes right back! I've suffered on and off for the last 10 years. 19 years ago I had kidney stones when I was pregnant. I've had scopes done and ct scans and everything shows normal. I had a cyst removed from my left ovarian 7 years ago and I had endometriosis removed off of the outside of my bladder 6 months ago!
I also had some pain in my bladder area and diarrhea, which I usually have during a kidney infection. That is when I realized it was a kidney infection. I have had several in the past because I don't get bladder infection symptoms, or the symptoms are very mild.
I went to the Dr. when I was really sick and my urine test was negative. Some bacteria was found (see below.) I was completely shocked. My Dr. put me on Cipro and sent my urine to the lab.
