So about 3 weeks ago, me and my boyfriend had sex. It was quite painful for me and after that i felt burning 'down there'.
The next few days it was incredibly itchy, but my period came so i couldn't go to the hospital.
After my period, i still had that problem down there, it just wasn't as itchy as before. I tried a few off the counter medications but none seemed to work. I went to the hospital and i was told it was a fungus.
For head treatment, I will use Stieprox shampoo with Ciclopirox Olamine 1.5% w/w which relieves my scalps itching & scaling issue.. a bit expensive but it works for me :)
I think I will continue using this tablets until I get examined by derma specialist.
By the way, is there is any side effects of using this medicine continuously?

About a month ago(June 7) I had sex with a Condom and 2 days after, I began to itch in my groin area but I didn't think much of it since 2 weeks prior I had nair'd and shaved my hair off. So 1 week goes by without change and I told myself that I should be fine but get checked out anyway. So I went to get checked for chlamydia and gonorrhea. I also had the health care professional take a look at my genitals and she said I could have jock itch.
Other topicals that are used to treat Pityrosporum folliculitis are ciclopirox olamine cream, econazole cream, alcohol and salicylic acid solution. Retinoids are not very effective. I suggest you to consult a dermatologist and discuss these treatment options with him.

Thanks Grace for the response. I visited my primary doctor again and he said since he does not see blisters now, he still thinks it is yeast infection and the rash that i have now(it is healing now) also looks like a fungal infection and asked me to use "Ciclopirox Olamine Topical cream" for another 10 days and get the blood test IGg and IGM (AB) for Herpes done after that since it will be 6 weeks after outbreak and antibodies should have developed by then if there is an infection.
He told me he didnt see any signs of fungus or yeast, but gave me an antifungal anyways, and told me I have Intertrigo. I am using zeasorb AF powder along with a sparing amount of ciclopirox olamine 0.77% cream The rash has lightened a little, but isnt really "healing" Has anyone ever had a stubborn case of Intertrigo? I think it is folliculitis. I was prescribed by physician Amoxicillin Clavulanate 625 mg 1 tab thrice daily + Linezolid 600 mg 1 tab twice daily along with B-complex cap for 7-10 days.
I took the medication for 7 days and all the infection seemed to disappear. But after 2 weeks of finishing my medication, the infection seems to re-occur.

I have had a rash on my chin (see picture) for about 5 months now. It started out on the right side of my chin. It would come and go randomly without treatment. About a year ago I had some seborrheic dermatitis around my nose and the derm prescribed me Ertaczo (an anti-fungal). That cleared up the rash right away. I went to my primary physician and showed him the rash on my chin mentioning that it looked similar to the rash I originally had around my nose.
