Avatar f tn seek immediate medical attention if you develop any serious symptoms or side effects. and that these side effects may only occur infrequently, BUT SOME MAY BE FATAL. would this statement not really get you thinking.I never had any serious deseases but thought that the hep c would kill me. how irronic. those serious side effects are all that occur in our bodies, for some of us. I never experienced any thing like this before on the treatment.

Avatar n tn I've noticed that after 3 months of daily prednisone that I have developed hair on my upper lip and jaw line. Has anyone else experienced side effects like this? I don't see how it will go away on it's own. How do you treat unwanted facial hair? This is quite upsetting to me. Thanks!
Avatar f tn t really work, or may just have annoying side effects, or even intolerable side effects, such as insomnia, or more often being tired all the time. Either one can happen. (One med kept me awake like drinking 20 cups of coffee. The same med put my mother to sleep for 18 hours.) Keep hope that there's a medication out there that will work wonders, and keep searching for it, and understand it's normal for any particular one not to work for everyone. Each one works for some.
Avatar n tn I used both, and found that side effects are similar; tiredness, weight gain, and a slow pulse. Side effects are more pronounced as the dosage is increased. I had dosages from 25mg to 200mg. daily. Other reported effects are loss of libido, tightness in the chest, itching, irregular breathing, and irregular heartbeat. If you have any further questions, I'd be happy to respond based on my experience with the drug.
909257 tn?1242668182 Pain medications have numerous side effects and those who do take pain meds on a regular basis do usually have some kind of depression due to the fact that they do have chronic pain but as far as the meds causing depression or bipolar no I do not believe so.

Avatar n tn Hi, Cough is a sudden, noisy and violent expulsion of air from the chest, caused by irritation in the air passages, or by the reflex action of a nervous or gastric disorder. Chronic and/or dry cough can be side effects of chemotherapy and other cancer treatments. Allergies and infection are common causes of cough. In response to the allergy-causing agent, people get drainage (usually clear drainage) or a "runny nose." Red, itchy eyes may accompany this cough too.
Avatar m tn Blood testing is important, so if you are concerned about the side effects, get the vet to do a blood test to assess dosage levels. But, the side effects CAN continue for several weeks, before they will eventually start to subside. I know it's a hard process - but it has to be gone through - otherwise you will be back at square one. Don't interfere with the dosing without the vet's authority - and importantly, give the dose at the same time every 12hrs.
Avatar m tn I take melatonin, not nightly, but maybe two or three or four nights a week. I have tried to read up on side effects and have not found much information at all. I don't notice any side effects, myself. Since melatonin is a short-acting drug, and the therapeutic effects of it do not seem to last long at all, I'm thinking that any side effects would not last longer than a few hours or a day or two -- at most -- after you discontinued using it.
Avatar f tn I'm more worried about the hair thinning right now. I've seen posts about people thinking their hair thinning is a result of the medication. The side effects I've found is a long list and hair thinning has been mentioned. I'm scared to death and beginning to panic about it.
Avatar f tn Kes I had all of the same side effects you are speaking of when I used tram and yes at 800mg a day you are putting yourself at great risk of seizing .Have you tried tapering off?
Avatar n tn We live in a global society which makes it almost impossible to escape chronic stress-overload. It is the hypersensitive/hyperreactive individuals with, as Gabor Mate (Canadian M.D. and author) puts it, "emotional allergies", who are living out the roles of the canaries in this mine that is our world. A still-greater commitment in the medical community to awareness, education, and further research on the connection between emotional and physical health is crucial.
Avatar m tn I have not craved and my chronic pain is tollerable. do people get used to it, or do the side eff. go away? thank you W.
Avatar f tn i also have chronic sinusitis,,,and maaybe my headaches is fronm that and stress from going off my meds....i just wonder about if you could have a seizure and it not affect the brain....or if im way offf on all this..
Avatar m tn s many reasons why you may be tired during the day that you can control, like your diet, how much and how you deal with stress, and how you incorporate exercise into your life. There are diseases that have fatigue as a side effect, so you need to get to your family doctor, and let them know you've been sober a month , and have them do a thorough physical. I think that you should be reading as much as you can on how your diet exercise and stress play a role in your health.
Avatar f tn When I came off of certain benzos I had to come off of them very slowly to reduce side effects. Also, could you be under some more stress these past couple of months? I tend to notice different 'symptoms' around my body that can be uncomfortable, but I know that it is stress related...keep us posted!
