It is the hypersensitive/hyperreactive individuals with, as Gabor Mate (Canadian M.D. and author) puts it, "emotional allergies", who are living out the roles of the canaries in this mine that is our world. A still-greater commitment in the medical community to awareness, education, and further research on the connection between emotional and physical health is crucial.
1453933 tn?1285260910 While some amount of stress in unavoidable in our lives, trying to minimize chronic stress can really help out with a lot of health issues. Try hard to set aside a few minutes each day to do something that truly relaxes you; reading, hot bath, meditating etc. I like to sing at the top of my voice :-) Sounds trivial, but it might be the best thing you can do!! That can lead to heart attack. Also, when stressed, we sometimes don't take great care of ourselves.

Avatar f tn Chronic stress can harm the baby but its not too common to endure chronic stress only reason I know that is because I currently have chronic stress and if it doesn't get relieved I can send myself into preterm labor I'm 26 weeks 5 days just relax and try to enjoy your pregnancy things will work out :)

1277082 tn?1344057820 By then, a lifetime of stress had ravaged my body. I have so many health issues (adrenal fatigue, thyroid, autoimmune, chronic pain, etc.) including 6 pregnancy losses. All of these issues I believe were mostly caused by chronic, severe stress. There is sure to be a wealth of information on the internet and in books about stress and how to reduce it. I have figured out just a handful of things that work for me. I'm no expert, but there are experts out there.
Avatar m tn t directly cause folliculitis as such, is it possible that someone with chronic stress and raised cortisol levels would find it much harder to shake off a case of mild folliculitis? Perhaps even be more susceptible to infection in the first place? Mine seem to be clearing with help from anti bac soap and hydrocortisone after. This is fine, but in 100% healthy people it seems that it should resolve on its own within a couple of days.
Avatar f tn I heard things about it. Sometimes it can cause low birth weight or early labor. It's mostly chronic stress than cause harm towards baby. Try to relax and meditate. I was under alot of stress but it was my anxiety disorder that triggered my stress. I'm 38 weeks now and still worried about things I can't control. I guess we both need to do more relaxing.

Avatar f tn Air hunger, anxiety and all of your symptoms are common for lyme, Babesia and Bartonella (common Lyme co-infections.) I had them all and was miserable for months until I was properly diagnosed. I was told my many doctors it was all in my head / stress / anxiety before getting properly diagnosed with lyme & co's.
