Avatar n tn So about a month ago i developed hives and joint pain. I went to the doctor's and they said the only thing i can do they say is to take antihistimines, use calamine lotion and anti itch creams for the itching. Sometimes i will not have any and i think they are completely gone, and then a few hours later usually at night they come back usually terribly bad all over my arms, legs, chest, back, and stomach. It gets so bad and itchy sometimes, i just cry.
Avatar n tn she had to get several tests done because of all the pain she was in, she is currently going through a lawsuit with yaz because of what it has done to her.
Avatar f tn Hi, YAZ birth control pill causes cholelithiasis. According to studies done, YAZ birth control pill increases the risk of gallbladder disease only marginally. But if you are symptomatic, like if you have pain in the upper right quadrant or if you develop nausea or jaundice, discuss your symptoms with your consulting doctor he may change the dose or the medications. Regards.
Avatar f tn Have you had your antibodies checked? I ask because ovarian cysts, acid reflux, leg cramping, chest pain, eye pain, could also be caused by Hashimoto's antibodies. Hashimoto's causes hypothyroidism, and if you haven't had your TGAb and Anti-TPO blood work, I suggest you get it, along with a thyroid ultrasound. The treatment for Hashimoto's, just like hypothyroidism, is hormone replacement like the brand you're taking, but there are many brands and formulas.
Avatar f tn She says that while at a basketball game, she got a very sharp pain in her chest that went away and came back...so, yes, Chest pain is a symptom of a panic attack. I also had a book on Anxiety/Panic Attacks which name "chest Pain" as a symptom. I hoped this helped.
Avatar n tn I have been taking Yaz for about a year and a half and my body has changed extremely. I feel like I have a UTI almost every week, constipated, chills, and when I go to the doctor to get checked for anything they say it is " normal ". Is this normal? The pain is so overwhelming that it doesnt seem that way. Should I switch to a different pill or just stop taking them all together? help!!

Avatar f tn Hello. I was on Yaz for about 5 months and in mid march (2 months ago) i decided to go off of it because of the crazy side effects! i got my first non pill period somewhat on time and now im waiting for my second period but it is almost a week late. i highly doubt im pregnant because i always use condoms with my bf. I am kinda worried anyways though but i just wanted to know if it was normal or not?
Avatar f tn Well I took Yaz for 3 months and at the end my fiancee kindly asked me to switch, because I was so depressed and crying over everything. My body hurt so much also, headaches, stomach, then I started asking my girlfriends about it - all of them that tried it, got off it very quickly. But it might effect you differently..
Avatar f tn The doctor believes endometriosis is causing the pain on my right side and back. She put me back on Yaz (birth control). I was on Yaz for several years to control the severe PMS symptoms I was having. I got off PMS last summer when I turned 50 because I wanted to get an accurate reading of my hormone levels which are normal. It seems like once I got of Yaz I started having these problems--complex cyst, pain, etc.
Avatar f tn I have been on yaz for 3 months now. I am tired all the time. I can't sleep at night but can't get out of the bed in the morning. I have been have cramps all over my body. My legs, side, face, and every where in my muscles. I went to the Dr for blood work. They said my thyroid is not working right so they did more blood work. I am tired of hurting all the time. My OBGY said its not yaz. But I am worried. I am 40 and I'm not use to feeling like this.
Avatar f tn and went from 101 to 116 lbs. After the first two cycles of being on Yaz, I gained a cup size. I feel bloated ALL the time, and look it too, all through my cycles, and more so when I have my period. Even after lifestyle changes (more exercising, watching calorie intake) it still feels like there's a layer of puffiness and bloating covering my whole body! Anyone have any suggestions?! Help please, this is starting to make me feel miserable.
Avatar f tn fast forward to last year when I had to have the IUD taken out because it completely messed me up (it was sliding out, and it moved so much that it constanty poked on my uterus causing severe pain during my menses) so i was put on YAZ early last year and the NIGHTMARE began, I have gone from 118Lbs to 153Lbs!!! in a 1 and 1/2yrs and the cellulite/strech marks is also out of control!!! I can't bring myself to wear a bathing suit!!!
1232362 tn?1333135406 I'm a healthy 46 yr old who has been taking Yaz for almost a year. About 5 years ago I was hospitalized for cholic-y gallbladder. I've seen commercials stating a correlation between the Yaz and gallbladder issues; should I be concerned? All my labs have been normal the past several times and the one time I experienced pain in the appropriate place it was diaged as a pulled muscle. Also: how do I differentiate between the 2? The pain was quite similar.

Avatar f tn now my doctor wants to put me on birth control, which what ever, nothing else has worked why not try it again. But my concern is the type of birth control that it is. YAZ!!! I have done very little research about it but what I have found shows that there are more people out there that have negative things to say about it. I have heard people talk about migranes(sorry for spelling) blood clots kidney failrue, which really scares me and horrible moodswings.

Avatar f tn The only meds she was taking at the last blood test was Prevacid for nausea. Before that she was taking Yaz for irregular periods, but since being off the Yaz, the T4 has not really gone down. Her other symptoms are: constipation, weight loss, extreme fatigue, nausea, fluttering in chest/throat and most recently pressure in her head (squeezing feeling on top and sides). Does this sound like anything anyone has heard/experienced.
Avatar n tn If you still have that cyst after a year of Yaz, the Yaz is not working for you. Please get a gyn checkup.

Avatar m tn If you asking on behalf of a female contemplating the use of the contraceptive product called YAZ or already using YAZ, please tell her that YAZ has been found to be a questionable product for birth control. By questionable , this is what I mean. I have seen commercials where lawyers are telling women who have used YAZ and have suffered severe side effects from using YAZ that they are entitled to a settlement. I conclude that the product YAZ can , in some cases, cause severe side effects.
Avatar f tn I have found a lot of information linking gallbladder disease with the BC pill Yaz. I myself have been going through some major health issues since about 2 months after I started taking the pill. Although the pill has cleared my acne and evened out my hormone levels, I've been to several doctors because of a pain in my right side. I've also had my appendix removed because of a misdiagnosis. Now my doctors are convinced that I have to have my gallbladder removed.
Avatar f tn I hate to second guess my doctor, but I am wondering how a lower dose can do better for me than Yaz? Also, I have been extremely depressed since a month or two after starting Yaz, and I turned down anti-depressants in hopes that a new medication will help with that. Does anyone know anything about personal experiences with loestrin 24 and depression?
