chantix vivid dreams

I am now on my third week taling Chantix. I have had a few vivid dreams but that was during the first week.All in all, it has been a very good experience. I was a two pack per day smoker and today and yesterday have had only three. I credit the Chantax for the success, as I have tried meny times to quit. I look forward to talking with you about your progress. Not a lot of people take Chantix, so it will be good to discuss out progress. Other than the dreams, how is it going?

hi,i have been taking it about 2 weeks and ill be honest with you,i have such vivid dreams that i talk really loud in my sleep so i get woke up all night and im really bad depressed ...dont know if its from no sleep or the chantix its self ....i think im going to quit i cant take not getting no sleep....take care...

Hi greenlady : ) I have to say that my experience with Chantix was pretty good. I don't remember any bad dreams but I think I do remember feeling like I was outside of myself looking in. I have had that spacy feeling before and it generally happened when I was taking effexor for panic/anxiety. I am also going through my changes and so I haven't slept well in a few years. The crappy feeling in your gut, yup, that about sums it up. Can't do much about it and it really isn't to bad.

I was also concerned about the depression and the Chantix affecting me, but my doctor said that the likelyhood of feeling suicidal or more depressed is quite remote, so I decided to give it a try and would quit if I felt awful. I know of a few people who used it and actually claimed to have become "homicidal" and felt extremely angry and violent. Both of these individuals were very, very heavy drinkers, and I am certain that is why Chantix affected them that way.

Chantix is sounding greater and greater. Has anyone had any bad dreams from Chantix? We did have one patient quit taking them. He said his nightmares where just to vivid.

I recently quit with the help of Chantix, It's been 43 days and still going strong. This is the first time in 25 years that I've been smoke free. Although the medicine is expensive, I spend no more on it than I did on the cigarettes. The only side effects for me are the crazy and vivid dreams, which really don't bother me. If I take the medicine on an empty stomach it really disturbs my belly and I get wicked gas. Sorry I had to bring up the flatulence.

I am currently on my first quit, 3 1/2 months, and hopefully it will be my last. I used Chantix but never had a problem with my dreams thankfully. Why not give it a chance. It worked with me and I smoked for 38 years and never ever quit. Quite a few of my smoking friends have also quit using it and none seem to be bothered with any side effects. You may get lucky : ) You mentioned that you were on effexor.......have you considered welbutrin? Welbutrin was used pre chantix with great results.

s sleep - because I have too many vivid dreams. I can usually remember the general tone of my dreams - they usually involve moving to a new home, or a new job. I dream constantly (it seems to me) and I sleep too long because I am involved in a dream. Is there any way I can change this? Three weeks into the treatment, I became emotionally very unstable, crying for no reason, feelings of worthlessness - almost an induced depression with insomnia, very vivid dreams, severe join pains etc. I coped well with those until I went out one night, had a few drinks and a total blackout followed. Nope, I'd say it's normal. I have vivid dreams all the time. Some are rather strange, scary or down right crazy.

Yep. Pregnancies give you crazy dreams. I've had dreams about my husband where I wake up so angry at him for something he did in the dream.

I have been experiencing these so called "vivid dreams" recently and I must say, I DON'T LIKE THEM AT ALL! A lot of the dreams involve my husband cheating on me, and last night I had a dream that I delivered the baby very early, and the doctors made me keep him in a Ziploc bag that was filled with the amniotic fluid and when he needed to eat, I would make sure that he swallowed the fluid.

In the beginning I had dreams about people dying. I'd wake up bawling and text the people in my dreams to make sure they're OK. Now I'm having crazy sex dreams. Tmi I know but I used to never have them. I took a nap today and had a dream that I had an ice cold soda and it was so good lol. Idk what that was about but it made me want a drink.

I have been having very vivid pregnant dreams....17.5 weeks and I dreamt about death twice....can you ladies relate....its freaking me out a bit....thank you for your responses.

What meds are you on, and which ones were recently increased? Certain drugs can come with side effects of more vivid dreams, and some unfortunate people end up with more vivid nightmares. I don't know if there's anything you can do about it other than stopping the med that's causing the problem. I cannot believe I am reading this, I started taking Lexapro about 5 months ago and I dont even want to sleep anymore because of the dreams. The dreams are awful. Vivid nightmares. I remember everything. I wake up screaming and have nightsweats.

Anybody else have crazy vivid dreams often? Mine aren't scary, they're just very odd. According to my ultrasounds and doctors I'm having a girl, but I keep dreaming that when I give birth my baby comes out as a boy..anybody else have this happen?

s how I knew to tesr with my first, I got a positive the day before my missed period. My dreams were so vivid and odd. With this pregnancy I have had weird dreams, but not quite as vivid as with my son.
